Great time and great location! We did get in on the first night adter dark, and the building numbers do not have lights so it's hard to find in the dark. Otherwise all was great!

The place was real spacious and very clean. We enjoyed our stay. The front door looks a little bit tricky but we figured it out. Had a great time.

Great getaway spot for a brief stay. Only one minor issue i encountered (with the WiFi), but was quickly resolved with the owner. Overall stay was amazing. Will definitely do it again.

It is a fantastic place to stay! Fully appointed with the needed equipment. Host was extremely helpful when I couldn’t find the unit. Will definitely stay whenever I’m in the area again!

Great location near all three state parks and restaurants. Villa was clean and well maintained. Played putt putt and listened to live music at outside bar.
Would definitely stay here again.

We had a great time and the place was perfect!

Drains in both bathroom sinks were very slow with debris from previous tenants in the traps. Some lightbulbs were burnt out in lamps and a few bugs were present in the unit. Great location though in quiet area with comfortable beds and good price so the "issues" were doable for the two nights we were there.

First, I'd like to mention that communication with Martin was easy and speedy, which I greatly appreciated.
My family and I went out for a holiday weekend and enjoyed some short hikes at Starved Rock. There was plenty of space for us and we cooked most meals.
Given the proximity to the state park and nice cabin atmosphere, we would rent again, though I figure I'll mention a few items that weren't quite as expected and will likely be fixed soon, so I do not anticipate it being an issue for others: there was a missing button on the jacuzzi panel (could still be used for a warm bath; notified Martin and he's getting it fixed) and the latch on the bottom sliding door does not lock, though there is a pole stopper to keep it closed.
Two days prior to our trip Martin sent PDF map/instructions for our reference and an agreement to sign, which included a note that the fireplaces are only for use between I think October and April. We weren't planning on using them in July, but I figured I'd mention so that others are aware.
Thanks for the wonderful space!

I arranged for my brother and 2 adult sons to stay here during a 3-day family reunion. The property was clean, quiet and very spacious. It ended up being the gathering place for our family dinners because the living area was so large and comfortable. We would definitely stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay very much and hope to return soon!

Nice. Needs updates. Better master mattress, and sheets. Pans that are not terrible and could cook better with. Was very quiet and peaceful in the back of the villas so a big plus. Easy access to the parks. Overall nice for the cost.

Great place to stay when visiting Starved Rock

This property was right across the street from the park. It was very large and could accommodate many people. On the surface it was clean but we found hair in the beds and shower. The downstairs faucet barely was a trickle and there were layers of dust on the fans in the villa.

Clean & spacious villa. Quick, easy access to area attractions. Comfortable beds. Rustic furnishings are not. Villa needs some attention: all patio/balcony screens were not in place or functional. Overall we enjoyed out stay.

Our stay was wonderful. It was a lovely home away from home and four of us adults had plenty of room and space to enjoy. It was easy to get to starve rock and get into several of the little towns and the museums! We especially enjoyed Star Union Spirits distillery, live music and great tour!

Wow! Absolutely had THEE best time. Enjoyed the 3 state parks! They were all fantastic. Amazing views- I really hope to come back in the near future. We didn't get to see it all- and at different times of the year- I can't wait to see it again! The space for our family was a great value! Couldn't be happier. I give it a 10 out of 10!

Property was pretty and in a great location. Was disappointed that many things were closed during the week. The villa was very nice and spacious. Did have to do a lot of dishes because previous tenants put away dirty but overall was very pleased.

Very clean and inviting loved it

The villa is very clean and spacious with nice amenities. Everything you'll need to cook is there. No griiling or fireworks permitted. There are plenty of restaurants and attractions close by. I recommend bringing some pillows and bed linens only because those provided are not hotel quality (I am a pillow and sheet snob). That's the only very minor negative of our stay. Check in and out process very easy, liked the checklist to follow before you go. Owner is great at communication. The map to the location given is accurate. We will definitely back.
