About this apartment rental

Suede, is a stylish studio, perfect for a single traveling professional.
It’s located on the second floor, of a Victorian era building (c. 1900) which has been converted into four completely private apartments.

Perfect for a single person who needs a functional living space to sleep in between work shifts, it has a well stocked full kitchen, plenty of linens, and free laundry in the building.
A decanter of whiskey awaits your arrival.

The sleeping accommodations are a twin sized daybed, which doubles as the couch. The couch/daybed does have a twin trundle underneath it, should you have a guest stay over.

The bed, as listed above, is twin sized. If you are over six feet tall, this may feel small for you.

There is a shared backyard with solar lights, a dining area, and a community garden with vegetables to share.

Located less than a mile to Salem Health, the State Capital, and Willamette University.

The apartment is on the top floor of a Victorian house (c.1900) that has been converted to four separate apartments. Each have their own door, and are completely separate from each other.
The top floor is shared with one of the other apartments.

You will be given a code to the front door as well as to your apartment. No keys to exchange (or lose.)

This apartment is ideally for traveling professionals. In accordance with our agreement with the management company, upon booking we will also ask you for your ID, and to sign a Renter’s Agreement.

Mail and packages are delivered to this address, but we really advise that you set up a PO Box at the Post Office or the UPS Store instead. Mail and package theft does happen throughout Salem- it is not location dependent.

Must be able to climb stairs.

There is not a dishwasher in this apartment.

On street parking in the City of Salem requires a parking permit. We will provide you with one permit. Additional vehicles will need to be parked two blocks away, where there is not a permit needed, or a second permit can be obtained through the City of Salem.

This is a safe neighborhood, close to everything. It is also a capital city; which means that an assortment of people are around. You may see and hear homeless people, loud cars, garbage trucks, trains, or overhead aircraft. We do offer earplugs for this reason.

Although we have never had a problem, it is recommended to lock your car doors, as well as the apartment doors.
