We wanted to be close to the dog beach so we could take our goldendoodle swimming. (He absolutely loved it.) It's only a few blocks away. A very unique feature is the dog washing station -- what a convenience! This is a very cute place, furnished in a beachy way. Coffee, dog treats and towels and bags were thoughtfully provided.

Property was super clean, smelt nice, and had everything we needed to be comfortable. Neighborhood is very walkable. Stayed during the week and parking wasn’t an issue. Our dog had a great time. There’s a restaurant/ bar right at the corner of the street that allows dogs which was super convenient. Thank you!

We knew we wanted to stay in OB to hang at Dog Beach, and I chose this place because of the proximity to the beach (maybe a 4 minute walk), and the dog washing station! This property has street parking and isn’t so bad if you time it right (wait for people to go to work and you’ll get a close spot). The property is set back from the street and quiet. Inside has everything you need, even dog bowls (course we forget them)! The treat jar was a special touch as well. We had plenty of towels, blankets and pillows and if we needed anything and Kyle was very responsive and helpful over messaging. We enjoyed our stay and made many memories and would def book again in the future!

This property was great. It was clean and cozy and have everything we needed for our stay. The location was perfect, as we like to go to Dog Beach when we go to San Diego. It’s on a quiet street close to shops and eateries. We would stay here again.

This little cottage had everything you and your pet might need. Coffee provided, dog cookies, games, even a tray in the fridge with small condiments! As noted, parking is an issue! (so only 4 stars). We moved once to get a better spot, then walked everywhere. Beach, restaurants, Ice/sundries all available in a short walk. We had great weather too!

Cute little cottage close to the beach, restaurants, actually walking distance to everything in OB. Brought our 2 pups and took them to the dog beach. Came back and bathed them in the dog wash. Comfortable place with everything you need in a nice neighborhood. Great host and Highly recommend it.

Wonderfully appointed with great use of a smaller space. Quiet, clean and welcoming for us and dog. Owners quick to respond with questions. Easy walking distance to all OB has to offer. Would definitely stay again!

In this area of San Diego, it’s almost criminal not to have a dog or a surfboard! The place was pristine and all of our communication was accurate. Close to all the traditional tourist sites. It was ideal for my kid and dog. Everything was wonderful! We will be back!

Comfortable cottage, great location near beach and restaurants with easy check in. Management obviously cared about making sure we had a relaxing and comfortable experience. Would definitely come back and recommend it to others.

We went for a vacation to actually get away together for a few days (without a wayward eye on work email). It was in a perfect location with easy access to dog beach and human beach. All the right amenities packed into a small spot. Incredibly grateful for the dog wash (which set it above the competition), but also so many extras we didn't realize made the trip easier. Owner was always quick to respond and easy to communicate with and I would book this spot again in a heartbeat. We definitely got our steps in this trip, but really enjoyed our stay and felt safe. Only drawback was the on-street parking. It can be difficult to nail a spot nearby, so we felt obligated to Uber non-walkable places when we finally did get a perfect spot at the location. Just know that going in and everything else will be perfect!

Super easy checkin/checkout, also nice and clean. The house was a quick walk to the beach and dog beach. There are also many places within walking distance to check out. Love all of the dog friendly people and places!

Nice little cottage only a few miles from the Marine Base, and just a short walk to the beach. Had a great time! It’s very congested there in Cali so you have to be persistent to find a parking space but was able to get one for each of the three nights. Appreciated the fast response of the owner for anything we needed!

The place is clean, fully equipped, and comfortable. It is also located in a great location, walkable to the beach and many restaurants. We enjoyed having the wash station for our dogs after going to the beach. Kyle was very responsive and helpful. Will definitely book again in the future!

Loved our stay! My husband and I stay in OB at least once a year with our dogs, and this location certainly stands out as our favorite. It is thoughtfully planned with an outdoor dog wash, treats, and plenty of towels and extra bedding. I forgot to pack dog shampoo, but they even thought to include that in the dog wash! The area is also perfect, just a few blocks from the dog beach and plenty of dog-friendly restaurants nearby. Parking was also very easy compared to other places we've stayed. 10/10 would recommend.

Everything about the cottage was wonderful. Very cozy. Very clean. Loved the dog washing station! Perfect after taking our dog to the beach. Everything was in walking distance. Kyle was great at communicating with me and letting me know when we could check in. Loved the personal touches from the coffee to the dog treats. Will definitely be back!

This is a wonderful cottage - warm and cozy! Perfect location to dog beach and restaurants. The extra touches welcoming families with dogs, especially the professional dog washing sink, were a major bonus. Good timeout for our family with busy teenagers.

Our family had a wonderful stay in this beach cottage. The location is great, less than 1/2 a mile from the beach. There are restaurants nearby and Newport Ave is approximately a 10 minute walk where there are a lot more dining choices, shops and a pier. The host was also easy to communicate, accommodating and responsive. We would definitely go back and stay at this location again.

We took our dog to enjoy dog beach. House is very well located just a block from the beach. Very clean and well accommodating for dogs. Great trip only negative is parking. We had a blast!

There were 3 adults, 1 child and our dogs. It was a tight fit for us, but we were all able to sleep soundly. The location was great! there are a couple of restaurants around the corner that we ate at, plus a coffee bar. all were very good. Dog Beach is a couple blocks away and we enjoyed walking there daily. The parking is tricky, once we found a spot, we didn't want to move the car. LOL especially on the weekend. The property was just as described and the communication with Kyle was good.

We loved this VRBO! From the location - just over a block away from the beach - to the responsive hosts, the adorable area, dog friendly locale and local restaurants, we had a fabulous time. We would definitely stay here again and will highly recommend!

This property is everything it promised. Small but clean and nicely decorated. We found everything we could need. The dog beach was within easy walking distance as were bars and restaurants. Check in was easy and the owners were responsive to our texts. Street parking was a little tricky but it worked out. We will be back.

Great gateway staycation experience. The house is tastefully furnished and with all comforts, even for your Fido. Short walk to dog beach, and Newport Ave. The neighbors are very quite, and the hosts are super nice. Highly recommend

First of all the hosts were nice and helpful. The location was great, the property was clean and extremely dog friendly. What was lacking for us (two adults and two standard poodles) was no more than two sleeping pillows, no cutting knives, no cutting board, no sheets and blankets for the pullout couch, no cable TV, no reading lamps and no directions on where to throw out trash. There was a recycle bin handy. Street parking was ok. We found it most of the time on the street but one time we had to park a block away. The sun, the surf, the things to do in San Diego can make one overlook a lot of things and I am sure the owners will improve their lovely cozy beach cottage "two" blocks from the beach. I would go back.
