Loved staying at this home!

Wonderful property that was perfect for our family of 6. The house was clean and well appointed. Especially the kitchen! Our stay was short so we didn't cook, but if we had been there longer, we definitely would have made use of the air fryer and the instant pot. They had all the traditional pots and pans you might need. They even had a solid selection of spices and "basics" (flour, sugar, salt, pepper), so if you do want to cook you don't have to buy every little thing. They also had enough dishes and cups for our family (not always the case for rentals unfortunately).
The house is a short drive from downtown Black Mountain and so the location was very convenient. If we ever need to stay in Black Mountain again, we will definitely be booking Bear Walk Cottage again!!

Many vacation properties skimp in areas.....not this one. FULLY stocked kitchen with everything to live there, bake, entertain, you name it. Quality furnishings and beautifully decorated. Quick drive or Uber to Black Mountain and Asheville. We will stay again. We e didn't take pets but they even had a dog bed and dishes.

The property was as described. Very clean and the kitchen was beyond well stocked. I did try to contact the property manager at the number given and did not get a call back. I called Cottonwood and my question was answered.

Bear Walk Cottage was fabulous! This was our first time visiting Black Mountain and we cannot wait to return. The location of this house was perfect. It is close to the cute downtown and Lake Tomahawk. We enjoyed easy day trips into Asheville to explore downtown, Grove Park and Biltmore. Everything was brand new in this home was especially clean! It was the most perfectly equipped out of all of the short term rentals we have stayed. The kitchen was stocked and even included the always needed extras like foil, ziplock bags, dish soap, dishwasher detergent, trash bags, cooking sprays, oils, and many seasonings. They even had coffee and teas. We appreciated that it truly was like being at home. The back yard was huge with tons of room for parking and the kids to safely play. Do not hesitate to book this property, you will love it!

Four of us 40-plus-year-olds were in Asheville for a soccer tournament over Labor Day weekend, and this house was a short drive from the fields and offered a perfect respite due to its size, location, and hot tub. Absolutely ideal, and I could also see it being perfect for families who want to be near both town and country.

This house was perfect for my girlfriend and me. The house was clean, had new appliances, a fully stocked kitchen, nice bathrooms and bedrooms with everything we needed. Great recommendations for things to do and easy communication with the owners. We wanted a few days away to hike and enjoy nature and this provided just that. We wanted to be close to Asheville for food and breweries but spent most of our time in Black Mountain instead. Black Mountain had a wonderful downtown area, plenty of shops, and places to eat as well as drink. So happy we decided to stay here!

We went up for a brief stay to visit with family and friends. The cottage was very clean and had great updates. We actually got to see a baby bear visit one of the apple trees in the back yard. That made for an exciting night. The area is great to visit. We enjoyed the lake and recreation pool in the area. Great walking areas. Thanks for allowing us to stay in such a beautiful place.

This was a lovely place to stay, a bit out of town, but also close to everything in Black Mountain, and only 20 minutes away from everything in Asheville! It was quiet and clean and had 4 beds, which was really nice. This was one of the more well equipped places I have stayed. We rent homes often for family trips. They had every pan, utensil and dish you could need. And the property management company was also very communicative and easy to reach when I had questions before I booked. I got many email reminders, which I really appreciated with all of the information that I needed before we arrived. I would definitely stay here again in the future!

New construction. Well stocked. Good size house. Convenient location (3 minutes from downtown). Would definitely stay here again.
House appears very clean. However, we aren't dog owners and the house had white dog hair on the floor. The hair became noticeable on the 2nd and 3rd day.
