The bed we had was very good and in combination with the silence at night a guaranty for a good sleep. The breakfast was also very good.

Brilliant stay at the George

The staff were amazing. Harry made us feel so welcome, nothing was too much trouble, even when we came back late and didn't take code with us Harry came down to let us in with a big smile on his face. The chap behind the bar was also lovely made a big fuss of my dog think his name was Carl. Food was lovely, cow pie to die for. Will definitely be back.

We really enjoyed the weekend and would definitely book again

Really liked the team at the hotel, couldn’t do enough to help. Room was very clean and dog friendly so made the weekend to have the dog with us too. Food was fantastic .

Lovely hotel for a stopover in Keswick which was a wonderful thriving little town, we enjoyed our break.

The location is great, the food we enjoyed in the evening was superb and the staff were very helpful and pleasant.

Comfortable and warm. Just a bit disappointed with Sunday morning breakfast service.

Check was brilliant. The lady had gone out of her way to get a z bed for our grandson. He loved it and was very comfortable. Thank you so much for that. Our room was spacious and very comfortable too.

We felt quite disappointed by service at breakfast on the Sunday morning. We had our dogs and were more than happy to sit at the bar area. However on the Sunday morning we had no table settings, cutlery or plates. I had to ask for them so we could eat the toast. We just felt we were a bit of an inconvenience. I understand it was busy but we had booked for bed and breakfast and it would have been nice to at least have some plates and cups and cutlery. Saturday morning was great. The chap went out of his way to make it nice for us. Breakfast was lovely though.

A quaint stay in Keswick that was as welcoming to our dogs as it was to us.

Very dog friendly. Room was perfect for what we hoped for. As we had our dogs with us, I would be frantic if everything was brand new, especially after a hike that we got caught in the rain well and truly. Shower was perfect, bed comfy, food was lovely, and everyone was so accommodating to our dogs. A very nice lad even brought up some extra black pudding for them after breakfast. It's little things like that, which really mean a lot. Location was also perfect for us, and we will definitely return again later in the year😁

Location is ideal not far to walk to the main shops and market. Comfortable room with a really comfy bed.

We stayed on the first floor, it's was loud till the early hours, but is to be expected as it is a popular pub.

Great location. The rooms and bathrooms were spacious. There was parking available in the hotel.

The bed and pillows weren’t very comfortable. The rooms were a bit stuffy with little ventilation.

Lovely owner and staff —- every credit !!!

Room was bright , clean , everything there I needed Each staff member was friendly and helpful , Will deffo stay again

One bulb in the over sink light was blown and the tiles above bathroom sink had red wall plugs in them that are totally different colour to the white tiles so were very obvious but was only staying 2 days so wasn’t worth telling reception but stopped me scoring the stay as a 10
