For the price, you get what you pay for. But I’m not even concerned about how it looks because we knew beforehand that it was not The Ritz or Gurneys, it’s the customer service that ruined everything!
The manager or whoever she is, was blatantly rude and racist. That lady didn’t give me a chance to even talk. Poor customer service. I wish I read the reviews prior to ever booking this junk! There are so many reviews referencing to how condescending and rude the managers/owners are. I made sure to record the conversation because I cannot believe that anyone could boldly be this racist and rude in 2023! Stay away from this place at all cost, it’s not worth it to be treated like crap while spending your money. There’s a reason why it’s always available. I don’t know how they’re still in business. Rude, racist, liar and very disrespectful!

We were greeted by delightful staff. The room was more than adequate albeit the shower exceptionally small. The pool was a nice amenity!
Small shower.

Comfortable and private room. All necessary toiletries provided in bathroom. Good coffee/tea maker. Reasonable dining options in walking distance. Good wifi which is essential because there is no mobile phone signal!
TV mounted very high on the wall, difficult to watch. No crockery or cutlery provided, yet there is a microwave. Plastic and paper cups for drinking out of that were all individually wrapped in plastic - should have more environmentally friendly products in 21st century. Very high price per night for the standard of the accommodation, but I was there in 'high season' so not much else to choose from in the area.

Still a great place to stay, now under new management. Clean rooms, friendly and capable service, near everything you want to visit, with no Hampton attitude. We’ve been staying there for 30 years and give the Wainscott an “A+”

I had a wedding to attend with only a hour to get a room and get to the wedding the place i booked gave my room away without notice and as i walked in explaining my situation and she read what was on the paper and i signed 5 min. I was in my room.
No cellphone service in that area, so we didn't know how to get to the wedding.

Didn't know they served breakfast and was never told if they did. The hardwood floors in the room were nice, bed was comfortable.

The in is convenient to the surrounding attractions.
I went before summer season so could not use any amenities

The location was central to the things that we wanted to see in the Hampton's area. The staff was friendly and helpful! They had a list of local restaurant suggestions.
The room was quite dated and didn't seem very clean for what we were expecting from the pictures. They need to update the rooms with a deep clean/refresh and fix the little things that weren't working.

Location was ideal for work and travel. Very close to my employer's office. Very pleasant staff.
There wasn't anything that jumped out at me. Some fo the rooms have dated decor but were clean and presentable.
