Firstly, the location is great. Traffic in Davao can be quite bad so the importance of this cannot be overstated. The SM Ecoland mall is literally a five minute walk (most of it on covered walkways), and has the usual amenities such as supermarket, restaurants, cinemas, gym, etc. There are many many more restaurants and eating places in the vicinity (Tulip Drive and Quimpo). You tend to get taxis waiting on the other side of the entrance to One Oasis, so getting around is easy. There is a very small convenience store on the outside of One Oasis, and a nice coffee shop
Ecoland is also on the right side of town for going to destinations/attractions such as Malagos, Eden, Buda (Bukidnon). The main long distance bus station is nearby. It is on the ‘wrong’ side for the airport, so if that’s a major consideration consider accommodation on the other side of town.
The condo is spacious. Whilst the unit faces the road, other than the odd noisy motorcycle I didn’t find traffic noise a problem; I did find it nice to sit on the balcony in the early mornings and say hello to the cat which seemed to like lying on the balcony watching the world go by.
The bed was comfortable. There is a single window type air conditioning unit in the bedroom; I would just left the bedroom door open and the a/c was sufficient to cool the whole living space to a reasonable extent using the fans to circulate the air, With the condo being on the ground floor it would keep the cool inside for quite a long time with the a/c off.
The security of the condo development is diligent which is reassuring, but you need to ensure you have your move in pass and the unit number ready on your phone the first time. As for the amenities, I used the pool regularly and it was good.
From a functional point of view I found the apartment excellent and spacious, though if you are expecting luxury you will need to look elsewhere, as things like sheets and towels are just ok, and some things such as the bathroom door look tired. The kitchen has got a basic stove (it has exposed rings and only three heat settings!), a microwave, an electric kettle and a rice cooker, and a fridge with freezer (single door). There are quite an assortment of pans and cooking stuff and even condiments. Other than longing for an induction stove, it was all good.
Some of the furniture in the unit seemed overly large and not particularly functional or attractive - for example, the TV unit is big and there is a unit by the sofa which just seems to waste space, and yet there is very limited space to store items such as folded clothes. I have spoken to the owner/manager Jackie who was receptive and she says she will try to improve this for future visitors.

The location of the apartment block was ideal for the SM Mall, the pool was a good size and the security staff were pleasant.
The apartment was clean and comfortable.
There were only 6 sun beds at the pool making it difficult sometimes when busy to sun bath.

I’ve stayed at this property many times and this is the worst unit that I’ve ever stayed in at this property
I met a very nice girl and I invited her to my place for a drink when she finished work. She had to take a taxi for a long drive and when she arrived the guards wouldn’t let her in. I was so upset, if you have a rule about visitors you have to make that clear on the rental advertisement. Just terrible !!!! The tv didn’t work and when I emailed them about the problem they just ignored me. Bathroom not clean, mould on toilet. Booking.com should be ashamed to advertise this property. Just ruined my trip to Davao. As it stands right now, I will never book through Booking.com again!
