self contained and good space with two rooms, one as a lounge plus small kitchen and two bathrooms.
the main castle is a wedding venue and this was a (very well) converted modern behind larger multi lettable buildings. very quiet when we were there. not sure the concept has worked. no reception on arrival, no way of finding the cottage or accessing it. rang to be told the company would email and hopefully we would hear from somebody! we found an estate manager on site and got sorted.

The third party email I received did have clear or easy instructions on how to collect keys. I still gave a 5 star rating though because of how excellent the staff was when I called and asked for help upon arrival.

Nice location, set up of room size/layouts and very comfy beds. The surroundings were nice and plenty of nice walks around. The living spaces were spacious although a couple of items not working as they should, the wine fridge being one and extra baking trays would have been handy too. The house only had one so we ended up bringing up from the 2nd house we had booked so wasn’t too much of an issue.
Taxis to Inverness city centre approx £22-29 depending on car size which we were happy to pay.
Robes in the wardrobes were a really nice touch too and plenty towels etc available to use.
There were a lot of dead flies, some dead spiders and dead caterpillar looking things around the houses. It may have been that the house had not been used for some time before our group booking however I did have to hoover certain areas on arrival which I shouldn’t have had to be doing. If the houses had been properly cleaned of this I think the whole party would’ve had a more enjoyable stay.
I had some issues getting in touch with the property and to receive the entry code prior to arrival which was a bit stressful being leader of a large group booking. I only received this a few hours before arrival after struggling to get in touch. The code was then wrong for one of our houses and the phone signal wasn’t good to get in touch with reception, however when I called Cara came right away and let us in as couldn’t hear what I was asking due to signal. Similar issue wifi wise - it wasn’t clear how to join on the box (different name & password) and I couldn’t open my welcome letter with instructions to connect due to low signal, make sure to take a snap shot or instructions on the box would be helpful too.

All facilities at the house were tremendous , staff were excellent and we couldn’t have asked for a better stay.
there is nothing that could’ve made our trip better, all was more than enough and exceeded our expectations for the trip.

7 of us stayed in Lodge 4 (Alchemy). It's a large house with all the associated facilities. Great bedrooms, very quiet and perfect for a family of group of friends.
The site restaurant wasn't open on Monday or Tuesday, which coincided with the days we stayed. We got a taxi into Beauly town for about £15 each way for a minibus and ate at the Shimla one night and the Priory hotel on the other, both were very acceptable. We had a problem with the hot water in our house, which was unfortunate, but it was dealt with swiftly and professionally by the maintenance staff and reception team.
