Very pleasant family vacation with the best location
The proximity to the beach is very nice in every way.
A big thank you to Nicole for the warm welcome.
The house is well thought out and has enough space for two adults with two children. Everything was available and we lacked nothing.
The campground across the street did not bother us.
There are many attractions in the vicinity and the nearby amusement park was a great experience for the children.
Overall, a very good stay that I can recommend to everyone. Thanks to Mr. Moses, we will be happy to come back.

Logement parfait

Perfekte Unterkunft in perfekter Lage

Lovely we'll equipped villa
This was our second visit to the villa - not disappointed! Superb sea view with direct access to beautiful sandy beach. Everything you need is provided for. Lots to do in the surrounding area. The owner is quick to respond to any enquiries, and the property manager is very friendly and helpful. She even collected and dropped us back off at Agde railway station. Will be back for another visit. Would highly recommend.

Beautiful Beach - Bliss!
The property is set within a small, tasteful complex with direct access to the beach.
The contents have been well thought-out and include such items as a shoe rack, a corkscrew and a bicycle repair kit, to go along with the bikes.
The owner is friendly and responds to any questions very quickly. His agents are extremely welcoming. Nicole helped me to organise a birthday cake for my daughters birthday. Not such an easy task, out of season and during local holidays!
We thoroughly enjoyed our 'out of season' experience. We would definitely recommend it to anyone who's looking for peace and quiet. Generally, we had the beautiful beach to ourselves.
We took the children to the Reserve Africaine de Sigean. Expensive, but well worth a visit.
We also took a trip to Meze Dinosaur Park. Another delight.

Fantastic holiday
A lovely little house, pictures are up to date, house is modern, clean and well equipped. Everything is as described, but the views of the beach and easy access are under-sold. Had a fantastic time sightseeing, shopping in local markets and long, long walks on the beach which was never crowded. Internet access was an added bonus. Thanks to Nicole for her warm welcome & Graham for the loan of his holiday house

We're Baaaaacccckkkkk!
That’s right, people! We are back for our second trip to Marseillan Plage, and what better place to stay than in this lovely villa where Nicole and Dom make you feel like family (our review was last posted in July 2009)
On our first day, Nicole and Dom met us at the villa and brought fresh figs from their garden, and when we realized there was no parasol to use on the beach, Nicole and Dom drove back later in the day to loan their parasol to us. Their hospitality is commendable!
We enjoyed everything as much as we did during our first visit in 2009, and even more.
A new bike path
There is now a paved bike path from Marseillan Plage to Sete, and there are sections where cars are not allowed. The path winds its way along the beach, by what appears to be part of an old castle, through a campground, and then into a winery. I jogged it every morning and cycled it every evening.
New bikes
The new bikes are a fantastic addition to the villa! My husband and I rode everywhere. After jogging the bike path each morning, we’d ride bikes into the village and buy a flute and two almond pastries. We’d ride back and have breakfast on the back patio, while watching the beach.
Paved back yard
Unfortunately, we had three windy beach days, and sitting on the beach was almost impossible (unless you don’t mind cleaning sound out of every crevice on your body!). Fortunately, Graham recently paved the back yard, so my husband and I would sit on the loungers in the back yard and sun bathe until the wind subsided.
Thanks again to Graham, Dom and Nicole for a lovely visit to France. We hope to be back again!

From 13.06 untill 03.07 we (2 adults, 42, 44) stayed at Les Roses des Sables and we had a great time. The house itself is comfortable and has everything you need during a holiday. The location, practicly on the beach, is wonderful for those who love to lay at the beach as well as for those who like to stroll for an hour or so.
Marseillan-Plage has everything you wish for, great food for small prices. Cap d`Àgde is only 8 minutes away and has a lot to offer too.
If you are by car, you absolutely have to explore the more inland part of the Languedoc. At an hour drive the landscape has changed totally and it seems you`re in a different world.
All together, like said before, we had a great time.
Lovely weather (>30 degrees most of the time), a great house and Nicole is a great hostess. Therefore Nicole, again many thanks for your help.
Also many thanks to Graham, who informed as well about the house and has proved to be a reliable person as well.

Great location!
We stayed in this property during the off-season and knew we wouldn't be able to go in the water, but it was so wonderful to see and hear the sea everyday! The stormy weather made for a wonderful water show and the shells we found were amazing!
We were welcomed at the train station by Dominique and Nicole, local overseers of the property, and they were a God send! They helped us to get to our rental car office, showed us to the beach house and explained how things worked. They were also available when we had questions.
The property itself is perfect in size and amenities. Ample closet space, very warm bedding and nice pillows. We ran out of hot water twice, but think we were probably using too much. The garden area was perfect for little explorers to search and dig. The stairs were a favorite of my sons so I was on my toes all of the time.
We rented a car to explore the other cities and it was really a necessity. We visited many cities from Montpellier to Carcassone and the drives were easy and not too long. We enjoyed getting to know the area by car and feeling like we didn't need a map anymore by the end of the holiday.
We liked the feeling that we were almost the only visitors in the area with the town closed down. Although we could imagine the bustle of people there in the summer. We met some local shop owners and felt as though we knew them by the end of our visit.
I would recommend this location and hope to visit again soon!
Thank you Graham, Dominique and Nicole.

What more could we ask for? Nothing.
About six months ago, my husband and I started planning our two-week trip to France. I wanted to spend the first half of our holiday traveling to see as many sites as possible (We started in Paris and then drove down the coast through Archachon to Marseillan Plage), and the second half just relaxing by the beach. I put together a checklist of what we wanted in a beach holiday rental:
• Near a village, so we could walk to get bread and other groceries, and yet far enough away so we could have some privacy
• Near to communities, so we could drive an hour and explore more of the history
• Near to wineries and nice restaurants
• As close to the beach as possible, and with a deck/terrace facing it
• Air conditioning
• Parking
• Clean and well-equipped with kitchen supplies, Internet, beach chairs etc.
• Well priced
This rental meets all those requirement, plus more. What is included in the “plus more?” One word: hospitality. The owner and property management staff went above and beyond in helping us plan our trip, offering suggestions, sending updates and inquiries before and after the trip, and in welcoming us to the property. We felt like we were well cared for during our time at Marseillan Plage (Thank you Graham, Dominique, Nicole and Ludivine!).
I highly recommend this property.
TIPS:
Agde
My husband and I timed how long it takes to get to Agde: 5 minutes. That’s it. Go there for groceries to the Hyper Supermarche. It’s much better than going to Marseillan Plage where items are picked over and much higher priced.
There are also outdoor markets in Agde and much to do. We loved the old town center, including the street named “Ru de Amor.” It’s so close and you can find so much to do.
Marseillan
This is a wonderful little port community. We ate here twice, walked along the port and watched the sail boats. It’s gorgeous, and the food was divine.
Sete
It's about a 10-minute drive away, and there is a lot to explore. We enjoyed eating at AmeriKlub. It's expensive, but the food was very good and the location is to-die-for. It's a place to go if you want to get dressed up and have a romantic meal or night out.
Wineries
They are EVERYWHERE! You could go to wine tastings and tours every day all day and never have to buy a bottle. There are grape vines everywhere.

Wonderful Holidays
We spend a wonderful holiday in this villa and hope to return again. As near to the beach (with fine sand) as possible with a nice view over the dunes and the mediterranean sea, you can enjoy a calm vacation with many opportunities of spending your time. Nice french restaurants and bars, wonderful little towns and sights to visit, as my previous speaker already mentioned. The Villa is equipped in a very modern but cosy style and the air conditioning makes you enjoy even the hot summer nights in the south of france. The owner of this beach-villa wondered about how to provide a nice stay to his guests, you can see this in many details, such as recommendations for restaurants or sight-seeing-trips. This villa offers a lot of space and a shady car-parking. Enjoy the nice mediterranean atmosphere :o)
We recommend this beach-front-villa with full conviction :o)

Ideal Beach Location
This is an ideal location for those who love the beach, the apartment being literally a stone's throw away. Lovely sandy beach with excellent safe swimming. Apartment has spacious patio/balcony to sit and enjoy outdoor meals in the sun or under the shade of the umbrella, with lovely views out to sea from the patio windows. Apartment is light and airy, feels spacious and very comfortable, with all modern amenities, and added security of a compound enclosure with ample parking. If you want a change from the beach, there are lots of lovely places to visit inland and up into the hills, to explore the charming little french villages dotted around. Make sure you visit the lovely little town of Pezenas, and also venture up into the hills to see the medieval town of Minerve. We had a simple lunch of local goats cheese and grapes picked fresh off the vine for us - idyllic. For the more energetic, hire out bikes and follow the tow path along the canal du midi, making your destination the cathedral town of Beziers. Nearby Montpellier is supposed to be a lovely city to visit, but we ran out of time, there are so many other places to see and things to do. The resort of marseillan plage is very busy in the height of the summer, with all the attractions you would expect of a seasonal holiday resort. If you prefer a more authentic French town/village experience, Marseillan is a little gem. Sit in the square with the locals watching the boats come in and out of the lagoon The Etang de Thau, or do a tour of the distillery where they make Noilly Prat.
Would recommend and return again. Enjoy.
