The Beauty of New Smyrna Beach
New Smyrna is a barrier island positioned between the Atlantic Ocean and the Indian River. The beaches of New Smyrna stretch over 13 miles along the sandy east coast of Central Florida. Water activities abound. New Smyrna is the surfing capital of Florida-- try it yourself or watch the locals ride the big waves near the jetties. Play in the surf, gather seashells, or build a sandcastle with your kids or grandkids. From Ponce de Leon Inlet, you can embark on a great deep-sea fishing adventure. Should you prefer to stay closer to the shore, fish the Florida saltwater flats for the famous red fish of Mosquito Lagoon.
Though New Smyrna is a small historic town, the city offers a wide selection of shopping, dining, and cultural experiences for both its residents and guests. From beachside burger joints to restaurants serving fresh local seafood, there's something here for everyone!

Not impressed with the management of this property I have stayed at many Vrbo in the past but this was the biggest disappointment. Kitchen not equipped, no can opener, knives were poor, silverware worn or non existent, cheap dishwasher that the door flew up each time you opened it. Keys did not work, locked out of laundry with clothes in it, and someone was always in my parking space from the moment we arrived. Could not access the beach and pool was cold!! Beds were comfortable and unit was clean, everything else was below standard. You expect with the expensive rate to have accommodation at least as good as home so it will feel like a vacation and not a hassle!!!!

property manager rude. No access to beach due to construction

Our stay was good. The weather was not. We knew that when we booked the stay.
The condo was in an older complex. It was nicely decorated. The view was amazing. We looked over the ocean.
We did have a couple of issues: no beach access from the condo because of construction. We should have been told about this. Also we went to get a parking pass from the office on Sunday afternoon after 4 and the office was closed. We parked in the temporary space 112 that I had been given. Called a help number and was given a parking card for 518 same number as the Unit. That space only a motorcycle would fit in it. So we parked in 112 again. Then someone told it was their space so we parked in the visitor parking. The parking is also messed due to the construction.
The only other thing that was not great was there was no water pressure when taking a shower.
We enjoyed exploring the town.

We had a brief weekend stay and the condo was lovely. Very clean with a perfect location and view. The only complaint I have is with the parking situation and how the management company handled it. Due to construction, the assigned parking spot was not available. And there was only one visitor parking spot in the entire lot, which was always taken. The management company check-in instructions said to park in a certain spot (assigned to a different condo), but the office manager at the property told us we could not and our car would be towed. Because the management company was closed at the time we were checking in, I contacted their after hours line and was told they would be paged and call me back. I never heard from them at all.

Pros: The condo was quiet and clean. Great view of the beach and water.
Cons: In the description they said there was a recliner and there wasn't. Unable to fit my car in the parking space provided for the condo, it was too small.
As for check-in I was given the wrong code for the lock box and unable to get in the unit. Could not get in touch with anyone so I spent the night at a hotel till early morning when I was able to get some help.

Beautiful location in New Smyrna Beach. The condo is an older building but the unit is well kept with beautiful furnishings. The sea wall was unfortunately affected by last years hurricanes but work well underway to fix.

We really enjoyed being on the no drive portion of NSB and appreciated the laid back atmosphere of the property. The condo is very close to the beach and the pool area is great. We really enjoyed being able to lay on the sun deck close to the water without dealing with the sand. The condo has amazing views from the oceanfront balcony and the windows. It is very spacious inside and comfortable for our family. We hope to book again next summer. Communication with the property owner was great and any concerns were addressed promptly.

This condo was lovely and accommodating. The balcony view was GORGEOUS, two of us spent a lot of time out there! Pool was wonderful. Shops and restaurants conveniently right across the street. Overall a very nice condo/rental.
Note that the balcony area may be a bit small if you have more than 2-3 people visiting at one time.

The property was clean and comfortable. We didn’t cook any meals - the pots just didn’t look like we wanted to cook in them. The only other problem for us was the shower water pressure. It was almost nonexistent. I have thick hair and very hard to get shampoo rinsed. I guess small issues but still important to us.

Horrible smells(beyond staleness of condo being closed up & beach humidity). Purchased some damp rid containers & after couple days, smells dissipated somewhat. Baths & bedrooms need serious updating.

Although we were on the 5th floor, this place was adorable and perfect for our family of five. There were a few issues, but they were addressed very promptly by the management company. We would absolutely stay there again!

Nice condo, great views. Comfortable furniture.
Perfect for family vacation.

This condo had STUNNING views and comfortable furniture. The views from truly all but the second bedroom are excellent, that alone made this property worth it. The living room furniture was comfortable and in excellent shape. The condo does lack some amenities; there are limited towels, limited kitchen utensils, and there are no beach toys/chairs/umbrellas available in the unit (we had multiple other friends/family staying in other units, and their units all provided many a more amenities such as beach things, soap and other toiletries, toilet paper, ample beach towels, pack-n-play, etc) . The space is somewhat dated but that didn’t bother us, though, I do wish there were more hooks to hang clothes/towels/swimsuits. The communication with Great Oceans condos was excellent both at check-in and when the coffee pot broke and needed replaced.

We had a wonderful week in NSB! It was our first time there. Condo was great and the view was amazing!

Unit was nice, we had a beautiful week

The condo was extremely musty and the air did not work. Great Ocean Condos did move us to another condo after finally hearing from the owner that he wanted a second opinion. GOC took care of the new rental without any additional cost to us. My luggage still has the musty smell from this condo after only being there four days. Nice view, but not worth it to an asthmatic.

We had unit 518 on the top floor w/ a corner balcony and kitchen view of the ocean but none from the bedrooms. Unit had a musty, smoky, smell and very outdated. Heated pool was nice and hot tub and lounge/pool deck was great for laying out right literally next to the ocean waves..

Great area, quiet and easy beach access

We stayed on the 5th floor and stairs were much closer than elevator. Loved the exercise we go but stairs were not lighted well. Overall great place and stay.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit here. The views of the water from the porch, livingroom, dining table, kitchen, and bedroom windows are all great. Furnishings are stylish and comfortable. Kitchen dishes and equipment was everything we wanted. Beach was so accessible and pools area were very maintained.

My family and I enjoyed this condo and beach very much. Highly recommended.

Condo was perfect for our stay and we will come again

I LOVED this facility. Each unit is privately owned for the overall facility was not crowded. Did not have to fight for chairs or beach space. This unit is perfect!!! Great view of beach and pool! Far from elevator and is on 5th floor. But parking is super close to stair well and unit right above stair well so we enjoyed the exercise of the stairs! Well worth it for the privacy!

It was a great time. The home could use a little updating and a deep cleaning (I am a bit picky:) The location and view are wonderful!
