We thoroughly enjoyed staying at this apartment. It was very well appointed, spacious, and close to most attractions. It was nice to have the A/C as it it was quite hot outside. Will definitely recommend to friends and family.

Nice apartment in very good location in Budapest. A metro stop is literally across the street. St. Stephen’s Cathedral is a 3 minute walk and lots nice of shops, restaurants, etc., are just a few minutes away. Easy walk to the Danube. Overall, a great alternative to a hotel in Budapest that provides much more room, a kitchen, etc. We enjoyed our stay.

We loved the apartment it was in a great location and my wife and I would stay there again!

This apartment is even more elegant than the pictures depict. It’s clean and large. There is plenty of storage space, and the WiFi works well. The washer/dryer combo worked great.
We figured out how to ride public transportation with Apple maps & that took us everywhere we wanted to go. (FYI- if you are over 65, it’s free!!). Of course walking is also an option as you see so much.
Communication with the property manager was excellent with timely communication & detailed check-in instructions. Kate greeted us right on time & was so friendly & helpful. We were able to store our luggage in the apartment while she finished up with cleaning.

The check in was extremely stressful. There was no one there to meet us, and everyone we called did not answer their phones. After an out of standing in the lobby we reached Kate. She arrived about 45 minutes later and it was obvious that she had no information on our reservation.
The apartment had not been cleaned and we had to leave while Kate cleaned the apartment. She was in such a hurry that she didn’t leave any coffee.
Once everything was settled we enjoyed our stay. The apartment was lovely and in a great location.

Stately, bright and nicely decorated apartment in an ideal location. Very comfortable beds and nicely furnished. Well-equipped kitchen with dishwasher and washer/dryer. Apartment is located in a building that fronts a major street, but the actual apartment is located down a few winding hallways and front a fairly quiet side street.
This unit is ideal for one or two couples, or a group of friends. One bedroom features a king size bed. A separate room has a queen size pullout bed, and the livingroom has a sofa bed.
A variety of restaurants and grocery stores are within a few minutes of walking.
The Arany Janos metro station (M3 line) is immediately across the street, and only one stop from the train station. The M3 line also conveniently connects to the other Metro lines. You can but single tickets or 24, 48 and 72 hour passes, or group tickets from the machine outside Arany Janos. FYI , not all stations had machines.
This was a perfect apartment for our three-day visit to Budapest. The location was 10/10. Excellent service and communication. Can highly recommend

This home truly is in the most perfect location near St Stephens. It was our 2nd stay here and we didn't regret it! A metro stop right across the street. Amazing restaurants close by and a Lidl grocery store right down the street. We travel a lot with our daughters (11 and 14) and stay in a lot of places and for the money - this is an amazing spot! Kate is wonderful and helpful and easy to contact. On this particular trip our travel was completely messed up by airline worker strikes in Germany. Kate and Daniela helped so much by providing flexibility and a late check out on our final day. Very thankful.

Communication with the property owner was almost impossible; the greeter(Kate) never showed up to explain the apartment to us. The cleaning lady, who did not speak English let us in. She told us to call Kate to explain the appliances; Kate’s number was not good.
The apartment is lovely and the location couldn’t be
better—2 blocks from St. Stephens.
Please know that you are on your own if you rent this apartment. We are experienced travelers and have lived in Central Europe so we made everything work.

We stayed for a week in this beautiful home. The location is perfect! Kate was very sweet and waited for us, as we had to sort out lost luggage upon arrival. Unfortunately, my husband had a medical issue the day we were leaving and again Kate was great with helping us get an ambulance. Off to the hospital for emergency surgery, so we’re still in Budapest….. I only wish we were still in this lovely place.

Fantastic location as well . Highly recommend staying there.

The host cancelled the day we were to arrive (while en route from Canada via London) as their power was disconnected. They offered that we could stay there and they would provide candles, but with no electricity that was impossible. We wouldn’t even be able to charge our phone to navigate/communicate never mind we wouldn’t have use of any of the amenities (fridge, stove, lights, air conditioning, washer/dryer etc) that we paid a premium to have access to.
We eventually found a comparable place across the street for two thirds the price which was good. They agreed to refund our money paid but it made for a very stressful first time in Budapest scrambling to find alternative accommodation. We heard from locals it takes 3 months of not paying an electric bill for it to get disconnected so we were shocked that was the reason given for them not being able to provide what we had paid for and ultimately canceling. We wanted to make people aware of our experience before you make a decision to book or not.

My family and I had a wonderful stay in this lovely and well-located apartment that was within striking distance of so many places we wanted to see and walk to in Budapest. The apartment itself is well-maintained and beautifully decorated. The neighborhood is lively and central, and the property owner was helpful and kind. We would definitely stay here again in the future if we’re so lucky.

2 couples stayed for 2 nights. The accommodation was as advertised. Great location, clean, safe with lots of room. Being from NA we struggled with the washer/dryer unit. We could never get the dryer cycle to work. But drying rack worked wonders. Kate the local property manager was amazing to communicate with and helped us immensely. Great stay.

Great, central Pest side location. Very large flat with wonderful shower water pressure and everything we wanted including the much needed washer/dryer at this point of our 4 weeks of travel. The building common areas, like many in the area, are long past needing a face-lift but the flat itself is beautiful. The only thing, and the reason for 4 stars on cleanliness, over the 5 days/4 nights we did encounter a half a dozen bugs in the kitchen/bath area. Could be very normal in older Pest buildings, this was our first time visiting, and it wouldn't stop us from returning.

Spacious apartment with great bathroom and kitchen. It was very clean and comfortable. The main bedroom was large with plenty of storage. The bed was large, a bit firm for us but we still managed to get a good night sleep. We noticed that was quiet at night, despite being in the middle of Pest. The location was excellent. It was great for 2 as the second bedroom is rather snug.

This was an amazing flat in a historic building in the center of Peat. Great location, easy access to public transportation. Plenty of restaurants and shops all around. The entrance into the building is under the construction, it don’t let that bother you. So charming, spacious, clean and comfortable.

The apartment is beautiful and well equipped for a group of four. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed for our 7 night stay. The location of the apartment was outstanding...just a couple blocks from the Basilica and the Opera House. We would love to stay here again when we return to Budapest.

Communication was excellent, the apartment was very nice - had everything my family of 5 needed, and the location was great. 10 min walk to Parliament, 10 min to the chain bridge, 15 min to ruins bars (all walking times) - and the turkish restaurant down stairs was great!

Property wax exactly as shown. Very tall ceilings, large space and well furnished. Location is within walking distance to all the major attractions we wanted to see, and almost across the street from St. Stephen's Basilica which is amazing. Very good restaurants within short walking distance.

The apartment was wonderful. It was centrally located and made traveling around the city very easy. We were able to drop our luggage early which was helpful. Kati was very accommodating and helpful for anything we needed. I would highly recommend this property.

Lovely, well-equipped, nicely appointed apartment, which looks exactly like the photos online. My correspondence with the owner and with the property manager was timely and helpful. I do hope that the entry and corridors leading to the apartment are renovated soon, as they have been on the other side of the building, as they are in substantial disrepair, as is the courtyard the small patio faces. Overlooking the walk to the apartment, once you enter, guests will find a welcoming space, and the apartment is well-situated to visit all of the major sites in Budapest, which is a fascinating city.
8.0 / 10.0
The apartment is nicely updated, providing a comfortable accommodation. The location provides good access to transit, grocery markets, and popular sites. This property is advertised as suitable for up to 6 persons, but with only two private rooms, and one bathroom, I would advise groups of over 4 adults give this some thought. The provision of common household goods was lacking, such as paper towels and cleaning solutions. The owner does provide a comment regarding the condition of this older building, but this shouldn’t deter one from renting this updated apartment. Please be aware that there are quite hours from 8pm-8am; we appreciated this.

We were in Slovakia for a triathon and scheduled a quick three day layover in Budapest. This property helped us have a wonderful time. The location was walking distance to all the major sites except Buda which was an easy subway ride. Restaurants were all around. Don't be surprised by the interior hall way from the elevator to the apartment. It has not be remodeled. However, once inside the apartment, we were surrounded by a tastefully done interior and all the modern conveniences. The apartnment is in the back of the building and away from the main street, so even though you are in the heart of the city, it is still very quiet. We would book this place again if we return to Budapest.

Clean, spacious, and bright, this apartment is perfectly situated near so much of what a visitor to Budapest will want to see. We were able to walk to most everything we wanted to, whether sites of interest, restaurants, etc. and then return each day to the great relief of the air-conditioned flat. We would absolutely recommend the apartment to anyone looking for a central location to stay in Budapest; this is a fascinating city, with great food, history, and culture - this apartment is an ideal base for enjoying it all!
6.0 / 10.0
The apartment is beautiful, marble floors, tall ceilings- everything shown in the picture. It is in a wonderful location. One thing to note is that the Chain bridge is being worked on so going over to the Buda side takes a bit longer since all transportation has to be rerouted to other bridges. I think it’s supposed to be finished by the end of 2022, but not sure. We used public transportation and it was easy to get around. With all this said- we were there in mid July and Europe was experiencing one of the worst heat waves on record. The AC is not great. On our first day, it felt SO hot inside that we were convinced that we wouldn’t be able to sleep there at all. The second day we closed off the main bedroom and left the curtains closed and by that night the room was cooler and we had our kids sleep on the floor in our bedroom. I think that an easy solution would be to get a couple of standing fans so that if it’s too hot, at least there’s air moving around. The other issue we had was arrival. Our flight was delayed in Zurich by an hour and a half, we were sitting on the plane, this made our arrival time later and then it took us a bit of time to figure out how to use public transport from the airport- so we arrived several hours later than we had planned on. By that time the person who was supposed to meet us to let us in, had left and we could not get ahold of anyone. We called the numbers we had been given and rang the outside doorbell for over an hour and a half with no answer. Just after we had finally booked an expensive hotel we finally heard back and we’re able to get in. It was a rough start…. So just to sum up- the apartment is beautiful, Budapest is AMAZING, the apartment needs fans, and check in needs to be rethought in case there’s an emergency (like ours) where you miss the time to check in.

The apartment is clean and in a nice neighborhood. The only real problem, but it is significant, is the AC. It barely works and made for 2 very uncomfortable nights. The windows don’t open to offer relief either. We spoke to the property manager who said she wasn’t aware of any complaints (despite it being mentioned in other reviews) but told me to contact the local person. I did so that evening. I did not hear anything until the next day at which time she said she’d arrange someone to look at it and let me know when that could be arranged. Heard nothing from her again until she was asking what time we were checking out. If the AC worked, the place would be great.

wonderful flat in a great location - though the second bedroom is very small with no closet and the air conditioning is not adequate
