Jerez is situated in a particularly fertile cultivated area. It is formed by the plain of the Guadalquivir, near the River Guadalete and just minutes from the beaches of the Atlantic coast and the Sierra de Cadiz. Its excellent location, halfway between the mountain and the sea, makes it possible to enjoy pleasant temperatures, with over 3 200 hours of sunshine throughout the year. Mild temperatures, ranging from an average of 11º C in winter and an average of 25º C in summer, softened by the proximity of the sea and latitude, for enjoying mild winters and pleasant summers

Many relics, both in the city and in its surroundings reflect these influences: the remains of the Phoenician Xera, the highly Romanized Ceret, or the large Muslim Sherish and, later, the beautiful Christian buildings.
