About this house rental
My wonderful home is located right behind Emeril's Delmonico in the Historic Lower Garden District of New Orleans. It has 5 bedrooms and 2 bath. This house was built in 1907 and is absolutely beautiful. It has a porch downstairs and a balcony upstairs overlooking the Cresent City Connection. Besides the home being in amazing shape, it's in a location that cannot be beat. Only a mile from landmarks like the Superdome and Bourbon street, and just a short walk to some of the best restaurants the city has to offer (Emerils is directly behind me!). The downstairs has a Queen bed, Sleeper sofa, and 2 couches that comfortably sleep 1 each. The upstairs has 2 King beds, 1 Queen bed and 2 couches that each sleep 1 comfortably. The neighborhood of my home is very safe, you and your family or company will be in a great area.

Great house for a big group. Great location as Bourbon St wasn’t far and many other restaurants and bars were in walking distance.

Matt is probably the best rental host i've come in contact with. So friendly, easy to coordinate with, really flexible with my needs. The house was perfect for our group. It's huge and has lots of areas to hang out- indoors and outdoors. The location is perfect- right between the Garden District and French Quarter. We were able to walk to a ton of stuff.
I'd say the only 2 downsides- the layout is a little funky where many of the rooms require walking through to get to other rooms, so if you needed total privacy in all rooms, you'd have some issues. The kitchen was also lacking some items (like full sets of dishes/pots and pans) which made it challenging to cook big group dinners. But if you're eating out anyway, no big deal!

Went for my bachelor party with friends, was a great location, very clean property and host was quick to respond and accommodate any of our needs. Also had great local recommendations. Perfect spot for a large group.

This was a great place to stay for my friends and family trip to New Orleans. Lots of cafes and restaurants nearby, and was walkable to downtown and the French Quarter. The host was also very communicative and flexible.

We used this house as a headquarters for extended family for graduation weekend. Location was great - close to restaurants and attractions. Easy access to the trolley and Ubers. Easy parking for those with cars. The group had some 75-80 year olds in it. For groups with older members, be aware that the stairs to the upstairs bedrooms are steep and that getting in and out of the clawfoot tubby was tricky. The other thing to note is that this is not a house that is equipped for cooking (not a problem for us, as we ate out or brought food in).

The location was perfect! A short walk away from some of the most beautiful mansions in New Orleans and a quick car ride to the French Quarter. Was going with a larger group of all adults and we each had our own space in the house.

First of all, let me tell you about the owner/host, Matt. *Perfect* communication from the day we booked. There were 15 of us total (8 adults, 7 kids), and while there were properties we considered with certain selling points like more space or a pool, I noticed a common trend among them of very spotty and suspect reviews. But, when I found Matt’s home on VRBO, read his story, and found the mountain of 5-Star reviews (I swear after scrolling through enough of them, I was literally TRYING to find a single unfavorable one), my mind was quickly made up. And this house did NOT disappoint. This was a family reunion/vacation; my wife and kids, my parents, my brothers, and each of their wives and kids. We never felt crowded. The ONLY knock on the layout is needing to cross the master bedroom to access the kitchen and ground-level bath from the interior, but this was rarely an issue, and they can both still be accessed by going around the outside.
The home is historic and beautiful. It is central to ANYthing you will want to do, and the area is friendly and safe. We were a 10 minute walk from the incredible WWII Museum, and the most bustling parts of Bourbon St. and Royal St. really aren’t far beyond. The upscale mall and shopping district (as well as Harrah’s) on Canal St. really isn’t much further, either. Whatever it is you love about New Orleans, or whatever it is you want to experience there for the first time, this is the house for you and your group.
Again, there were 15 of us, and while we brought a couple air mattresses just to be safe, there are multiple comfortable couches that members of a party could sleep on as well.
And again, I circle back to Matt. We arrived to a kitchen stocked with basics, and a fridge stocked with water, soda, and beer. Whenever we needed ANYthing, he responded within moments and came through. We had a hugely successful day fishing and caught a huge haul of redfish. When I messaged him to ask if he had a grill on site, he said his was broken, but he would have a new one there by 3 that afternoon. It was sitting outside, hooked up to a fresh propane tank ahead of schedule. He has a large map set up on the ground floor with all kinds of helpful/cool nearby locations pinned. I cannot stress the lengths Matt goes to to make you feel welcome and catered to on his property. I literally challenge you to find a review that suggests otherwise.
Book your trip here. Trust me.

I have nothing but amazing things to say about my experience at this location! The house was spacious, beautiful, and offered so many places for my group to spend time together. The beds were SUPER comfortable, the house was within walking distance to many cute eateries, and the patio was super cute. Could not have been a more perfect stay. Matt was an amazing host and the house was even better than the pictures! Will be recommending this place to anyone traveling to NOLA.

11 of my friends and myself stayed here for Memorial Day weekend and we had a blast. We had plenty of room and the place was nice and clean when we arrived. Matt was a great host. The kitchen was stocked with drinks and snacks when we arrived and he offered his assistance with anything we might need while in town. We loved the location as well. We always felt safe and we felt plenty close enough to all the main tourist attractions while also feeling far enough away from it all for some peace and quiet when needed. Would 10/10 book this place again and recommend it to others.

Big beautiful house in a great neighborhood. Loved the front porch. Close to trolley, WW II museum and Magazine St. Matt is a wonderful host. All 9 of us had a wonderful time. Definitely would return.

We had a great time at Matt’s place. The communication was super easy and quick and the place looks exactly like it does in the pictures. Additionally, Matt equipped the home with all the necessary equipment and threw in some extras as well (water bottles, snacks, etc). The neighborhood is very conveniently located and quiet! Would absolutely recommend any group to stay here!

Matt had the house well stocked. High ceilings and lots of seating. The dining room has been converted into a bedroom so we had to pass through to get to the kitchen. On a quiet street but easy to ride share service and a block from the street car line.

My friends and I were in New Orleans for Jazz Fest and a bachelorette weekend, and this house could not have been more perfect. We had a wonderful time and Matt was super helpful! The house is clean, stocked with towels, food, and info about the area. All the girls on the trip were so impressed!! If you are looking for a house for a large group, you should book this one.

The property was perfect for our Jazzfest trip of 8 guys. The house is very spacious with high ceilings and very comfortable sleeping arrangements. Matt is probably the best host that I have had. Super attentive, friendly, accommodating and easy to work with. He made sure we had a great stay and that all our needs were taken care of. He also has the house stocked with water, fruit, gatorade and more. Not just in the kitchen but like in every room. He goes way beyond to make sure you have a great experience in this great city. We also felt safe the whole time. The house is not right in the middle of a funky neighborhood but it is easy to walk to such neighborhoods and restaurants. The bathrooms were also nice and clean. There are two patios/balconies that are great too. Matt deserves your business.

The house was excellent and extremely comfortable. As soon as we walked in it felt like a home away from home. Matt had snacks, drinks and goodies waiting for us when we arrived. The location was great, and quiet which is nice. The beds were very comfortable- I absolutely loved all the windows and top balcony. Thank you Matt for the great hospitality and accommodating us with our schedule!

Matt was a wonderful VRBO host! He was easy to communicate with before the trip and during our stay for any questions or supplies. He gave us a tour of the house when we arrived, and even stocked the kitchen with snacks and drinks, and was available throughout the trip in case we needed anything. We were a group of 10 girls and the house fit us all comfortably (we all had a bed!). The house is in the lower garden district and is conveniently located to walk to/uber from other parts of NOLA. Would highly recommend and stay again!

We had 4 couples visiting New Orleans for the Sugarbowl. I rented this home because it had 5 rooms and it had such great reviews. First of all, Matt, the owner, is the most hospitable owner I have ever encountered. He went above and beyond the entire time we were there. When we pulled up to the house on the first night, he had UGA flags hanging on the front of the top porch (we are huge UGA fans)!! The house is gorgeous and super clean! He had water and beer in the fridge along with some other drinks and lots of snacks! He even had UGA cups for us to drink out of. The house is within walking distance of a TON of great restaurants and bars. We had a quick Uber drive to Harrahs and Bourbon Street....you could walk, but it rained while we were there.
Everything was perfect....if I could give 10 stars I would. Matt is very gracious and a wonderful host. We had the best time....we cant wait to rent this home again!

We had a great stay in this cool house. We found the location to be perfect -- away from the madness of the French Quarter yet close to many things. A block away from a trolley line and restaurants, a few blocks away from museums, and only a half hour walk to the French Quarter and Jackson Square. Matt was very responsive and helpful with any of our requests. Thank you, Matt!

So I had a niece that turned 21 on Halloween, and booked this place to accommodate 15 family members to stay in one place. Mind you they’ve never been to New Orleans before.
This place was perfect. Matt had even surprised me with some updates to the property that were not apart it’s profile when I booked back in May. There was plenty of room and oodles of super cozy beds for everyone. Matt supplied us with a ton of extra bedding, air mattresses, pillows, and he stocked the kitchen with some amazing snacks and a fridge full of beer and waters. It was one less thing I had to do when I got to town.
The house is so close to all of my favorite parts of the city, and Matt makes it really easy for any newbs to Nola to get around with his blown up map with labeled hot spots on the wall.
10/10 - would absolutely stay here again. The house is perfect and Matt is super kind. Best host ever.
