We had a great time staying here. Faith was very informative and responsive. We initially thought from the listing that there were four bedrooms and a common room, but realized later that the common room counts as one of the bedrooms. This was perhaps less than ideal, but we made it work and otherwise really enjoyed the house.

Myself and five other friends booked this home for a weekend. The home was historic and beautiful with period style furnishings that were functional for a modern stay. Lots of thought given throughout the large home with plenty of outlets available for modern technology and everything someone would need to make their stay complete with all needed amenities.
The home is also in a neighborhood that is minutes to downtown Louisville, but allows you to walk across the street for morning coffee, or down two blocks for food, entertainment, and some great spirits shops/brewery.
Lastly, the owners were fast to respond to needs, respectful, and great communicators. I would absolutely stay here again. It was a great experience had all around. Thank you so much!

This home is a beautiful space with great history and walkability!! We did have issues with it being very hot, but the hosts were super responsive and helpful throughout our stay with willingness to help! We had a great weekend and I would recommend staying here!

The house was in a safe location with easy access to downtown and great night life. Uber/Lyft are still going strong in Louisville. Would highly recommend this property.

Our group was a bunch of guys coming into KY for our Bourbon Trail trip. Other than a quick breakfast and sleeping, we didn’t spend much time at the house. The house was perfect for what we needed. If you want a resort, this isn’t your place. If you want a clean place to rest your head and hang out, this is your place. There were 10 beds and 2 couches which was perfect for our group. We are a bunch of guys who like being together and aren’t pretentious. The house is old, so don’t expect it to be perfect. The floors creak, it’s a little cold downstairs, but we enjoyed our stay. There appears to be an abandoned car next door and the house behind the property is boarded up, however, we walked to dinner two nights and there were absolutely zero issues.

I tried calling the host the day of check-in 3 times for check in instructions and got voicemail box is full each time. Listing on VRBO said 3pm checkin. So we drove to home at 3:00. Exterior of home is run down and I became very concerned that either the booking was not legit or owner of home had passed away or home had been sold. I called VRBO for assistance. They eventually got ahold of host who stated she had been sick and calendars werent syncing
She asked if we could wait a couple more hours so she could get home cleaned. We said fine. We showed up around 6pm. 1st thing this is not a 4 bedroom and 3 full bathroom home. This is a 2 bedroom home with one additional " bedroom "that has sliding glass pocket doors that offer very little privacy. Side door looked like it had been kicked in at some point (not safe). Abandoned car on street next to home. Building adjoining home is condemned. The upstairs kitchen has floors sinking and sloping. Evidently the host is also counting the living room as a bedroom. Our group is comprised of several married couples that was doing the bourbon trail. We were relying on vrbos listing to be accurate. All the couple looked around home and decided they werent going to stay there, and left to find hotel rooms on their own. I asked the host to refund money since we would not be staying in home and she refused stating she could move us to another one of her rentals. I said no because if this home is so poorly maintained how could we trust

Very nice part of town in up and coming area with clean, quiet streets. You can walk to many restaurants, bars, coffee shops, and boutique stores. We felt completely safe walking in the evenings.
House is old , so open and close things carefully.
All in all a great place to stay when traveling with friends!

Had a group of guys to golf and catch some races at Churchhill downs. House was massive and will definitely be a great place to stay once the construction is done. Faith was a great help and very easy to communicate with.

This was perfect for what we wanted. It would not have been great for longer than a couple days. Was a bit over priced but was very cute on the inside.

There were 6 of us meeting in Louisville for a high school reunion, so we fit comfortably in the 6 large beds. The house was clean, spacious, and comfortable. The house has an odd layout (e.g., kitchen upstairs, 3 outside doors, two of which are blocked off, on main floor, etc.), but overall a wonderful experience. Great communication by the owners. Would stay here again! Thanks for a great place to stay.

Beautiful, well appointed home located in a great neighborhood. We had 12 ladies; with 2 queen beds in each of the three bedrooms, it worked out perfectly. Actually, the bedrooms were larger than most hotel rooms. The common area has plenty of seating, although some of our best times were hanging out in the kitchen. Appliances are newer and everything worked well. We walked to many places - Irish Rover, Silver Dollar, North End Café, The Hub and shopping. The neighborhood felt very safe and the people we met were extremely friendly. We started our weekend with lunch at RiverHouse and a tour of Copper and Kings. We were in NuLu on Saturday afternoon, downtown for dinner Saturday Night and finished up with brunch at Bristol's. A good time was had by all.

Great place to stay for a guys weekend. Clean and had everything needed. The beds were really comfortable and the location is nice with some good local spots walking distance from the house.

The building was in a great and convenient location. Street parking wasn't an issue since the building was on the corner of a short dead end street. The doors had a combo lock which was very useful. The house was huge, adorable, and came with all the essentials we needed for an excellent trip! We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. It wasn't cheap, but it was very reasonable once split between all the women. The property managers were very kind, timely, and a pleasure to work with.

Not only did Glenda greet us upon arrival, she made sure we were comfortable and answered any questions we may have had before our bachelorette weekend started! It was the perfect location for dining, drinking, shopping and fun!!

Perfect house for a group trip. Went to Louisville for a buddy golf trip with 8 guys. Slept all of us comfortably without any issues at all. Easy Uber ride to downtown, great golf courses, and airport. Good group of bars and restaurants within walking distance of the house as well. Will definitely stay here again if we ever travel back to the area.

We took a group of 7 for my husband's 30th birthday. I was originally concerned because it wasn't downtown, however, I quickly learned that it was better than downtown. Historic Frankfurt Avenue is filled with every kind of bar and restaurant imagineable. We had fun walking in the evenings and enjoying all the patios. The house was just charming and Faith and Glenda gave wonderful recommendations for restaurants, etc. The house is so cute that we even did a fun bday photo shoot with my husband... chandeliers, natural light and charming furniture. Perfect setting. The beds were also incredibly comfortable.

I have a love of historical restorations, so we decided to opt for stay here instead of traditional hotel digs in Louisville. Overall feeling was one of hominess and livability. Far more inviting than photos would lead one to believe. Depending on relationship, gender, and temperament of your group, careful consideration should be given to sharing of facilities. Upstairs two bedrooms will share a bath. Downstairs bedroom has a lovely larger bath with solid door (and a heater!), but sleeping area itself is separated from the living room by a curtain -- no "solid" barrier between bedroom and living area. Depending on event and relationships, most will find this perfectly suitable. For less friendly (read: "professional" gatherings of people, one might consider carefully and judge whether this layout suits your occasion. For a gathering of friends, or friends that work together -- you will LOVE it.Extra half-bath off living area is extremely convenient and useful - a gives the rear downstairs sleeping area a little more privacy. One note for elderly or those with mobility issues, the staircase leading to the two upstairs bedrooms and kitchen area is long (17 stairs if I remember right), steep and .... historical. Might present a problem for some, but was fine for us. But use care. Overall, property was perfect for our needs, lovely, interesting and memorable. Our experience there was wonderful - home contributed to communication and openness that promoted new ideas and improved relationships. There were compromises, but they actually played into our objectives. Property management was always available, helpful, informative and never intrusive. We would heartily recommend this lovely old carriage house. My favorite spot? Definitely the white leather sofa and ottoman in the kitchen.Once you park by the curb, not much reason to get back in the car. Almost anything you could want is within a few blocks - walking in this neighborhood is a fun and friendly experience.
