About this cabin rental

Come enjoy a getaway cabin on 3 wooded acres in the quiet peaceful Rio Vista Community. Rio Vista provides a private park with swimming, picnic area, restrooms, and boat ramp. We do have four 10ft kayaks and double kayak, that comes with your rental. Also provided is a roof rack to take your kayaks to the park or a golf cart you can rent. You can put them in at the community park that is 2 min. away. For larger boats, a public boat ramp is 15 minutes away in Dunnellon. We are located within minutes of KP Hole, restaurants and shopping while a close 5 minutes to the fishing, kayaking and tubing of the Rainbow River. The cabin provides a relaxing atmosphere for a week-end getaway. The cabin décor is a great combination of rustic Old Florida and Bass Pro Shop. We have most of the “bells and whistles” you would expect in a two bedroom, 1.5 bath Florida A-Frame cabin. Flat screen smart TV, dish cable, net flix, and Hughes Net satallite internet, updated kitchen but no dishwasher. The downstairs master bedroom enjoys a king-size bed with a full bath. Upstairs guests enjoy a comfortable queen bed and 1/2 bathroom. There is a double Futon for added sleeping. A wrap around porch provides opportunity for outside enjoyment of the Florida sunshine. There is a fure pit with plenty of wood to enjoy an evening fire or make samores. There is an outside gas grill on the deck, propane included, for your enjoyment. This is rustic Old Florida. We have a gravel road with
lots of trees so we have provided a covered carport for your use. There is wildlife in the area so bring your camera and binoculars.

Everything is as listed. It’s been a home away from home for us. We’ve stayed here 3-4 times. The golf cart wasn’t charging well 9on our last trip, and the brakes were bad, that’s the only thing negative we could say. Otherwise, it’s great!!!

We spent 4 days here and had an amazing quiet and peaceful vacation. Minutes from both the Rainbow Springs State Park and KP Hole. We enjoyed our stay and plan to do it again.

The stay was wonderful and the area was clean and well kept. Nice and quiet area. The Rainbow River entrance was a plus. The house was nice and we would stay here again. Suggestion - The Kayaks need to be updated as they had been repaired from leaks and we were afraid to take them out. We understand that the golf cart and kayaks were extras, but they need to be updated for safety. The owners were very helpful!

It is a quiet and lovely cabin, it is exactly as advertised and adorable. I loved the openness of the cabin. The river was super close and we went every day, best vacation ever! Will be coming again!

It was absolutely amazing and peaceful.It was just what the doctor ordered for me and my husband. The only thing that I think needs improvement is the TV connectionar; however, we didn't watch that much TV.

We had a great stay in this cabin. It was very clean. All essentials were provided which was SO nice to have available and not have to purchase/pack many of these items. It was great to be able to bring our pet. We enjoyed our time on the Rainbow River and the park access was perfect!

This was an excellent rental! The property offered fun amenities like kayaking and a fire pit. The location was peaceful but yet close enough to a grocery store that you weren’t wasting precious time driving to get necessities. Definitely would book again!

This cabin was perfect for our family of four. It was easy to find and not more than a 10 minute drive from delicious restaurants, grocery stores and great hiking spots! The river access was the highlight of the trip of course, we spent the afternoons under the trees playing volleyball and cooling off in the river. Cabin had everything we needed to have the perfect weekend getaway from Tampa!

The cabin was easy to find on GPS, very clean and cozy with all the needed amenities. My favorite part was the key to the gate that allowed us to enter the private Rio Vista Community Park for free so we could kayak, tube and swim. Otherwise, we would have had to go to the state or county park and pay money, stand in lines with tons of other people, be searched and given a huge list of dos and donts. I liked the laid back atmosphere of this friendly community. I felt safe and my six year old fell in LOVE with rainbow river. The cabin was nice and secluded, everything worked and owner was very communicative, personable and friendly via text and offered help at any time needed. I recommend this cabin without hesitation.

We enjoyed the cabin and all the extras. We cooked all meals and everything we needed was there for us. The beds were comfy. The porch was great in the evenings and for hanging all our wet items from being on the river. The golf cart and trailer were a lifesaver. We also used the kayak that was there instead of bringing our own. If you are looking for a quiet place to get away, this is it!

This cabin was perfect for our long weekend at the Rainbow. The Rio Vista park was super close and made access incredibly easy. The cabin was nicely equipped, quiet, and very private. Beds were comfortable and place was very clean.

Cute cozy cabin with super comfortable beds and quaint decorations. There is no dishwasher so bring paper goods if you like to cook and don't want to spend a lot of time washing dishes. Location was perfect for tubing the rainbow river. Having the neighborhood park to put your tube or kayak in was really convenient as well. We did not have time to use the kayaks but did rent the golf cart. Cart is in need of some serious TLC, not sure it would tow the kayak trailer, although we did not try it so I can't say for certain. I would recommend checking out the golf cart on arrival before paying the extra to rent it. Otherwise, great place with plenty of space to relax inside or out for 4 adults or more if you have younger kids. We would rent again and recommend for a quiet get away.

There was dog hair everywhere when I arrived. I decided to vacuum the house. When I left she tried telling me that I had a dog and and wants me to pay an additional 50$. I am allergic to dogs and cats and I don’t have any animals. She basically called me a lier and still wants me to pay claiming she has the best cleaning lady. I told her to be careful with her cleaning lady because the place wasn’t clean when I arrived from the previous guest. Also rented the golf cart… it had a flat tire I had to fix so I could use it. The porch light was out so I changed it myself. It’s hard to manage a property from a distance when all you rely on is a cleaning lady. And blame your guest for things they didn’t do. I asked her to FaceTime me, leaving my number, so I could prove that I was traveling with my wife and kid like the application I filled out to book the stay. She refused to video call. I was driving and wanted her to see who was traveling with me. I marked no pets because I have none. Anyway the place was nice the owner wasn’t. Beware of extra charges

Very nice peaceful and relaxing. I think a new gas grill the one there was old and dirty. A new ceiling fan on the front porch the one there did not work. Just a couple of minor things but overall very nice. I would definitely go back.

For the short time we were there, the property was extremely clean and was super quiet and peaceful. Some circumstances came about and we could not complete our stay but it is something we will definitely look back into and try and comeback and enjoy the entirety of a stay. The host was super quick responding to our every question and the property was exactly liked described BEAUTIFUL!

My husband, me and our 2 dogs just left Leslie’s adorable cabin. We stayed for 3 nights and wish we had stayed longer. The wooded serene setting was so peaceful. We drove sout to Weeki Watchie to see the famous mermaid show. We also kayaked on Weeki and Rainbow rivers. Highly recommend taking the cabin’s kayaks or your own to the cabin’s community park which is on the Rainbow river. We kayaked up (good work out) to KP Hole then floated back to the park. Saw lots of wildlife!

This property has all the amenities needed for a very comfortable stay; the kitchen is very well stocked, it lacks for nothing. The neighborhood is quiet and very safe. Once the TV locks into a satellite, the reception is good. It seems to take a few minutes to settle into a station. The internet service is reliable, but slow. We enjoyed the access to the neighborhood park and used the kayaks provided with the rental. It was a wonderful week!

Such a beautiful cabin, the porch is absolutely amazing! So much space to hang out in the sunshine or under the stars. Firepit came in handy for smores and family. Super easy to get down tot the river especially with the use of the golf cart rental. Thank you! Will be back!

If you are looking for slightly rustic cabin feel with a nice variety of amenities, clean and comfortable - look no farther! The super-spacious wrap-around porch (most of it being covered) is a big plus for entertaining extended family, friends, or just just having some quiet with nature.

The cabin has everything you need with some nice homey touches. Great wraparound deck with a gate to keep your dog in. The free access to the Rainbow River is fantastic for an avid kayaker. Hope to be back soon!

Off a dirt road, a cabin in the country. Just so peaceful and relaxing. We needed this!! Can't wait to go back and enjoy the area and cabin AGAIN!!
