The house had everything needed for an enjoyable stay. The kitchen was stocked with everything you need for cooking and the dish washer was very convenient. The bathroom was stocked with toilet paper and a ton of towels and wash cloths. Having a washer and dryer was nice to have also. Our biggest complaint was the smell! The whole house smelled very musty and the air felt damp (it wasn't even humid outside). It smelled like the house had been closed up for months. A dehumidifier is strongly suggested. The house was clean at surface level but could use a good deep clean. Some of the blinds were very dirty, cob webs in some of the ceiling corners, a ton of dead bugs in the lights just above the dinning table, the baseboards could use a really good cleaning and the shelf that the TV sits on is very dusty. We aren't very picky but for $261 a night and $100 cleaning fee I would expect it to be a bit cleaner. We did contact the owner and hopefully it gets resolved for future guests. The listing stated that their was a gas grill but there was not one. Their was a charcoal grill, which wasn't a problem but if we had known we would have brought charcoal.

This cabin is situated between two lakes - one directly in front and one behind the property. Just beautiful! We rented a kayak and enjoyed exploring. The area was great for walking our dog - who was very curious about the deer that quietly followed us. Great for spotting wildlife - deer of course, but also loons and we saw a fox in the yard. And two bald eagles rested in the trees directly above the cabin every day. The cabin has all that you need and was clean. Was not concerned about no wifi as the cell reception was great for us. Good distance from the neighbors which is always nice. Ken was great to communicate with. One minor recommendation is that the sofa needs to be retired - the seat cushions are past their prime. Highly recommend for those looking for a quiet spot that’s still very near lots of fun a activities.

Great cabin with a view. Good mattresses and kitchen set up. Nice to have a washer, dryer and dishwasher.
We really enjoyed coffee on the deck in such peaceful surroundings. A visit every day from a group of deer and eagles overhead, loons and even an otter,. Hope to stay again.
Ken was easy to contact and very willing to help.

The cottage had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay. The view of the lake was awesome, the water was 30' from the cottage! The bench on the dock is great to go sit and enjoy the loons and the beauty of the water while having a cocktail. The fire pit is right out the door, which is very nice as well. Great location to bars, restaurants, and golf.

It was relaxing to be in Northern Wisc and great view of the small lake. Did not catch the fish I was expecting but maybe it was just weather timing.
Weather was perfect temperature 58-80 range light wind and sunny sky

I am an older woman with some limited mobility. Most important to me is easy access, deep, clean water for swimming.
There is close, level access to the solid dock at Lake Content with a nice seat at the end. However, it is a little difficult to get in/out of the water. I recommend adding steps, or at least another 4x4 "step". The lake does get deep enough to work out, swim, but has some weeds. There are also a lot of motor boats (water skiing, jet skis, fishing) causing wakes. Plus the wind frequently causes rough water. The view from the cottage is gorgeous, and there is a lot of wildlife including bald eagles which perch in a tree close to the cottage.
Big St. Germain Lake is also accessible from the property. There was a small, rotted dock which was not level with the bank. It was VERY hard to get in/out of the lake. I recommend adding steps. The lake appears to be very shallow, and had green particles from weeds the day I checked it out.
The cottage is in a very good location, with good access roads. It is very cozy with nice decor, good ventilation, and large windows for viewing Lake Content. However, there were a lot of tiny ants, especially in the kitchen. Also, a lot of bugs that seemed to get in through the large mesh screens. The living room furniture is attractive, but uncomfortable. The chairs are too narrow and the sofa too low and uncomfortable since it is a pullout bed. The large bed was too high for me to get in even though I am 5'8". The smaller bed was very comfortable, but with tight access around the foot of the bed.

Great cabin between two beautiful Northwoods lakes. Quiet location but close to St. Germain and surrounding area. Eagles were visitors each afternoon which was amazing! They flew in and hung out on the tree right outside the front door! Communication was smooth and no issues. Hope to stay there again!

We thoroughly enjoyed our get away in Early-September. Pictures do not do the Property justice. Everything was very clean, well organized, and more than comfortable for two people. There would also be no problem with four folks as the rooms are perfect. Easy access to all three lakes, with excellent fishing and views. Ken is AWESOME to deal with and made the trip flow easier. Several small recommendations: A few more TV Channels, and slightly larger flat screen TV.

We had fun fishing. Caught mostly Perch and Bluegill. Caught a couple of decent Large Mouth Bass. Weather was great and had no problem relaxing.

We had a great week. The pan fishing left something to be desired. However, we caught lots of northern. One day our daughter caught 20! Most were on the small side, but still were fun to catch. The wildlife viewing was super. Two bald eagles were in a tall tree on the property almost every day. We saw lots of deer. The property has a pier on Lake Content, but also has views of Big St. Germain, so we could check out the sunsets.

The house is just the right size for a couple and laid out really nicely with a functioning fire place. You can't beat the location, you walk right out to a lake view and beautiful tall trees. The dock is also nice to sit, read, drink your coffee. The surrounding area is also very pretty lush with trees and lakes. The fall colors were amazing when we went.

This place is lovely. The pictures do not do it justice. Not a criticism, as all was very nice, but we went with teens, and we are big swimmers, lake is very shallow for a long way out, so swimming not quite as fun for big kids/ adults. Also, REALLY was surprised how much I missed having a picnic table this year. It would be a nice addition to the place - keeps the family outside more. Thank you Pine Haven!
