About this house rental

Rental properties like this just don't exist on Lewes Beach! We rented for years and could never find what we were looking for - a nice home large enough to accommodate multiple families. So we built one and gave it everything you would want in a beach rental. The house has 5 bedrooms: 3 masters with king beds, 1 with two queens and a bunk room that can sleep 6 kids. There are 3 separate living areas in the home, giving plenty of space to spread out. 6 different outdoor spaces are available on the ample porches throughout the house including a dining table that seats 8-10, two screened porches, a sleeping porch with a hanging bed, and an outdoor shower. The home is a very short block back from the beach. In just 2 minutes you are on a beautiful and private part of Lewes beach which faces the Delaware Bay. Appointed with beautiful furnishings and all the conveniences of a modern home, you will find everything needed for a beach vacation. The home is ready for 4 seasons of enjoyment. A fireplace, puzzle table and plenty of indoor spaces with great natural light make for a fun and cozy retreat in the off season.

The layout is an upside house with the main living areas on the 2nd floor and bedrooms on the 1st. The kitchen is equipped with modern appliances including a bar, wine/beverage center and ice maker. Another refrigerator is located on the 1st floor for additional drink and food storage and convenience for loading coolers for the beach. The kitchen seats 14 people for dining. The home has 2 master bathrooms with large custom tiled glass enclosed showers, a Jack and Jill bath and a fourth full bath. There is a powder room on the 2nd floor. The home has cable, wireless internet and Netflix access.

A nice walk or short bike ride will take you into the charming town of Lewes where you can enjoy shopping and dining at one of Lewes' many wonderful restaurants. The home is close to a myriad of biking and hiking options including Henlopen State Park, Gordons Pond Trail, and the Lewes to Rehoboth bike path.

We built this home for our own family and friends but hope to share with others looking for the same Lewes experience our family has enjoyed for years.

Pet Policy - We love pets and will consider allowing you to bring your dog along on your vacation (absolutely no cats). Just message us the details about your pup (animal type, breed, etc.) and will let you know if they will be allowed.

Please note that we rent Friday to Friday during the summer.

Sheets and Towels (bath or beach) are NOT included with rental.

16 person capacity is for adults + children. If all adults capacity is 12.

Our first visit to Lewes included family, friends and golden retriever Molly. We had an absolutely wonderful stay! This home is just as described, clean, well stocked, spacious, beautifully furnished, in a quaint neighborhood close to the beach and town. Quite possibly the nicest VRBO home we have stayed in. We couldn’t have been happier. Thank you!

We had a wonderful famiy vacation with four families. The house has the perfect balance between privacy and communal spaces. The kitchen is extremely well equipped which made dining in a pleasure. We loved all the outdoor spaces. We will definitely be back.

This is a beautiful home that has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Easy, very close walk to the beach. Quick bike ride into town or to the trails heading to Cape Henlopen. House was clean, spacious and a pleasure to stay in.

We were celebrating the twins 25th birthday and Easter. The house was perfect. It has everything you could possibly need. The kitchen is very well equipped. The layout of the house was great for gathering 8 of us, yet afforded early risers and late nighters to do their thing without disturbing anyone. The location could not be better. Walks to the beach are easy. Walks to town are easy. Love the town shops and restaurants. The beach, even at the end of March was pristine. We will definitely be back.

Our second time staying in this excellent home in Lewes! So close to beach, comfortable furnishings and bedding, nice outdoor spaces, kitchen well stocked, great wifi. Such a nice home, very well cared for and sparkling clean! Pictures are very accurate. So happy we could bring our dogs as well. Tonya is easy to work with! Would not hesitate to come again. Great breweries, restaurants and golf courses in the area. Lots of things to do any time of year!!

We really enjoyed 3nights over Thanksgiving at the house. It is beautiful - new, nicely decorated and with lots of space for 3 families with different ages. The kitchen was well equipped- the only small feedback might be a few more plates needed and a small jug (eg for milk). Also perhaps more than one house key would be useful for a house that is obviously going to host a large number of guests. Overall a great trip with space for all to gather and enjoy chat, board games and puzzles, and walks on the easily accessible beach.

So we definitely overpacked. We rent homes about 3 times a year, and quite literally every time there is something we need that the home doesn't have. Not this time, we came prepared. And doesn't that doggie, because this house had everything we needed and more. Owners were extremely responsive and wonderful to deal with. The home was even better than the pictures. Would definitely come back!

Where do I begin? This property is absolutely stunning -- inside and out. It was impeccably decorated and extremely clean. We had a group of 11 (6 adults, 5 kids) and never felt like we were on top of one another. The layout was perfect! The bedrooms and bathrooms were spacious and gorgeous. The convenience of being able to walk to the beach with five kids ages 9 and under was fantastic. The amenities in the home were well thought out. We have stayed in several vacation rentals over the years, and not a single one compare to this home! I can't say enough amazing things about it. From the minute we walked in, we were so comfortable and truly felt like we were at home and could relax and enjoy our trip to the fullest. My husband and I are used to cleaning and sanitizing when we arrive at a vacation rental, but we simply didn't feel the need to do so at this property -- every room was immaculate! We will most definitely be returning to this property again and honestly cant wait to do so! It was an incredible home away from home. Thank you Tonya for such a fantastic stay!

We had 3 generations each of whom thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Home is lovely, well furnished, and close to beach. Kitchen and great room with porches are wonderful place to gather. Owner had nice supply of spices and cooking equipment.

This home is spacious and well appointed. It has obviously been well cared for by visitors and owners. Though only 2 of us stayed there this home can accommodate a large number of people and with its great floorplan offer privacy and peace to all who visit. It will not disappoint!

The property is spacious and very well kept. We had our adult children, their spouses and 2 grandchildren. This house was everything posted on the Vrbo site and more. The home was filled with light, warmth as well as a sense of energy and peace. Aside from the great location, the grand layout of the home, and the comfy furnishings and beds, we were delighted by all the little extras the owner provided. There was a lovely front garden, a closet full of games, shelves of fresh spices and condiments, and clear directions for all switches to guide us in using the many, many lights and fans. A beautiful place to gather with loved ones. We thank Tonya for sharing this home with us!

We have visited family in Lewes every summer of my life. Now that my sister and I have families of our own, we are happy to have found a house that will accommodate all of us, and were extra pleased to find a master on the main upper level for our parents. The property was clean, bright, and beautiful, with both plenty of space to gather together, and spots to hide away and find some personal peace. We had a blast and look forward to returning next year!
