This property is exactly what you get - large house and sep. apartment, functional kitchen, and clean rooms, many of which are en suite. Plenty of space for a large family or multiple families to spread out and enjoy the space. There was a pool malfunction prior to our stay, but the manager got in touch and addressed the challenge and refunded us some of the heating costs proactively. The kids really enjoyed the pickleball court, play structure, and pool. Great space. Thanks!

We stayed here for my Bachelorette party. We had 13 of us. This place had plenty of room for all of us. The beds were super comfy. We loved that almost every bedroom had its own bathroom. There were a couple issues when we got there but the property manager took care of it right away and was very friendly. Would definitely stay there again.

This is such a unique location in the desert. The split residence to sleep so many people was a huge plus for us and our group. From the pool to the pool table, there was something for everyone. The hosts were gracious and left us some fruit from the trees out front, and it was just the right way to welcome us. Thank you for a great trip!

This property is amazing! There’s just so much space inside and outside the home for our group to enjoy. Everything was neat and beautifully kept. Rooms and home were clean and tidy. There was staff from the management company that helped with our check in and provided support during our stay. The house is spacious, clean and very beautiful. The pictures do not do the house justice. Would stay again!

This property was huge and worked great for our group. We had a couple of issues but they were handled by the property managers promptly. This property is gorgeous and you truly feel like you’re in a villa!

We have rented houses for our annual retreat for over 15 years and typically like to leave a positive review. Unfortunately, there are multiple and big problems with this house, which make for an unpleasant yet costly stay:
-In the kitchen, the trash compactor does not work and it falls out of its mounting when you open it; One dishwasher hangs off its mounting and is falling out of the cabinet; Other dishwasher the racks are falling off the walls of the dishwasher.
-Many electrical outlets throughout the house did not work
-Heat throughout the house is inconsistent. Thermostat in bedroom wing is not calibrated and does not regulate the temperature. If one room is a comfortable temperature, it makes another bedroom extremely hot. There is a constant need to turn the thermostat up or down
-There was no wifi internet in the entire guest house that has 2 bathrooms and 3 bedrooms. Also in the guest house, the upstairs shower had very little water pressure, only came out as a trickle and the bathroom doorknob would not work.
-Water in the showers were a huge issue all weekend. Some take upwards of 10 minutes of running before the water gets hot. In another shower, the handle would not turn the water off.
-The Main gate to the house does not open from the inside with motion detection from a car and there was no control pad to open from inside the gate.
-Gas smell in back near propane tank
-Spa needed repair before we could use it.
-Knobs/levers not work

We’ve stayed at many wonderful VRBO properties but this was the first time that pictures undersold what the property had to offer. Kitchen, Game Room, all Bedroom and Bathrooms and outdoor spaces were extremely spacious and well appointed. The pool table and life sized Jenga were big hits with our group of 18 family and friends who came from California, New York and Montana for a family wedding at a wedding venue less than 20 minutes away. The price was far more affordable than individual hotel rooms would have been and the memories made by staying together were priceless!!!

The property is large, with plenty of sleeping spaces for a large group, and privacy. Kitchen is large and well-appointed. There was plenty of space for our group to spend time together, and have time alone, too. Property is older, and unfortunately fixtures are not well maintained. Shower, tub faucet, and one sink faucet in the very large master bathroom were wobbly, and barely usable, faucets in at least two other baths were also wonky. Basic plumbing desperately needs done. I paid extra for the pool to be heated, and contacted management two weeks early to insure heaters were turned on well before our arrival so we could use pool and hot tub. Both were cold when we arrived. Management let me know to turn on hot tub and it would warm up in an hour or so. Hot tub did warm up enough to use, and on Friday, Jan 6 was warm enough to use. Pool was never warm enough to enjoy except for one intrepid kid, who will swim even when cold. On Saturday, part of our group went sightseeing, while others stayed at the property. The pool maintenance person came by early on Saturday, and from then forward not even the hot tub was warm. I paid $800 for a warm pool and the hot tub, yet they were usable only 1 full day of the three I paid for. The cost, plus add-on fees was very high for this property, and I don’t feel I got the experience I paid for.

We had a great stay here, and everything was in great condition. Chris was super attentive and helped wherever he could, if we needed any service or support.

Beautiful home with great amenities that adults and kids can enjoy. This is not an open plan space so if you want more compartmented rooms, you will appreciate this floor plan. The right wing houses 5 en-suite bedrooms down a single hallway. The separate apartment houses 3 bedrooms, 2 full baths, a full kitchen, dining and living room- great for a small family that like a bit of separation from the main house. The formal living and formal dining room did not get used at all during our stay. Instead, we all congregated in the kitchen and pool area, which was perfect for our party. Major bonus points for super comfortable beds and pillows. We all slept very well.
Now for the cons:
1. Thermostat was wonky and property manager corrected the issue upon contact.
2. Treehouse/ play area for kids was very dirty. The kids wanted to play, but there was poop littering the grounds. Not sure from what animal since the property is pretty secluded.
3. Not enough propane in the grill.
All in all, a wonderful stay and beautiful property. Would definitely recommend!

I rented this property for a first time family vacation and this place did not disappoint. The property was beautiful, the house was amazing and the apartment in the back was just as beautiful. The property manager was very easy to get a hold of and took care of all of our questions. We had the best time and would definetly go back.

It is a lovely property with great amenities. There was plenty of private spaces for our family of 13, & nice, large rooms for when we wanted to hang together. Pool, jacuzzi, BBQ, play equipment for kids, & beautiful landscaping to make it desirable to be outside. Very well equipped kitchen & attention to supplying guest needs. We would definitely stay again in the future!

A truly spectacular property that provided an amazing stay. Would absolutely stay here again. The rooms are lovely and large, most with en-suite bathrooms. The kitchen is amazing and the yard and amenities are wonderful. Great check in process, amazing property. We were very happy with our stay.

This house is great for entertaining. We used this house for a birthday celebration and were able to fit 15+ people very comfortably. All the beds are quite large and comfortable. The fire pit at night out in the desert is a rare thing for some people from the coast. I would highly recommend this place to anyone that wants to stay out here.

This property is amazing! There’s just so much space inside and outside the home for our group to enjoy. Everything was neat and beautifully kept. There was someone onsite to help with check in and easy communication when we had questions. It was a wonderful and relaxing stay at Date Grove. We would definitely return again in the future.

Came with my family of 20. More than enough space for our group and a lot to do at the property. The pool table and games kept the kids busy while us parents enjoyed the outside and bar area. The home feels like an authentic Mexican hacienda. Our family loved our stay

Where to begin? We actually kept a list of all the problems and things that went wrong during our family Christmas Vacation!
1) Three toilets weren't functioning correctly upon arrival
2) Multiple outlets not working
3) Leaking hose flooded lawn/fire pit area daily
4) None of the bedroom TV's were functioning
5) Hot tub would randomly shut off causing ice cold pool water to flow into it instantly cooling the hot tub. We had to babysit the hot tub the entire time in order to keep it warm/hot
6) Major leak from light fixtures in hallway caused flooding and light to shut off and kitchen skylight leaked as well. (Property manager didn't bother sending anyone out to fix this until the next day, despite electrical danger/issues)
7) The pool/hot tub light stopped working after first day. This was the ONLY lighting for whole yard.
8) The thermostats were password locked giving us minimal control of the temperature causing the bedrooms to be burning up while the remainder of house was ice cold.
When we reached out to the property manager about the problems, they were less than helpful or concerned. They sent "repair men" to fix the problems, which we had to take hours of our time out of our vacation to show the repair men around and deal with these issues. Property managers had no interest in assisting in fixing any of the issues or following up to see if issues were resolved at all. And after all that... none of the issues were fully resolved!! After our stay, we reached out to the property host, Chris, about our dissatisfaction and he was unwilling to offer any reimbursement and completely lacked any empathy or apology. With all of the enormous owner fees, we would have expected much better accomodations & service.

Sophia met us upon arrival & gave us a tour, which is beautifully furnished throughout. The kitchen had everything we needed, including huge side-by-side freezer/refridgerators, lots of high quality pots, pans, serving dishes, utensils, & both regular & pod coffee makers. Massive tables for large group meals, puzzles, & games made it easy for our large group to congregate. The pool & jacuzzi were a wonderful addition. All-in-all our family had a wonderful 5 days & hope to return in the future.

Massive property that accommodated our family reunion of 20. It was such a treat for the kids to pick fresh oranges and mangos from the fruit trees on the property and the play structure and swings were a happy surprise. We ended up hiring a private chef for the weekend, and the kitchen was spacious and had everything the Chef Dean needed. The owners welcomed us back next to year and we can’t wait!

This beautiful estate was nestled in the quiet town of Thousand Palms, CA. Close access to the freeway, retail and grocery stores, restaurants and a lot of pretty scenery in the CA desert.
The property is massive with stunning mountain views. Rooms and home were clean and tidy. There was staff from the management company that helped with our check in and provided support during our stay. We really enjoyed some R&R at this private estate and would definitely stay again!

The neighborhood is not great so that was a weak start. The main house is pretty nice with a good pool/patio area. The guest house with 3 small bedrooms is below average, old, dingy and only has 2 bathrooms. The biggest issues in both houses were the thermostats are programmed, code locked and set very high. It took all of the first night to get in touch with the managers to get the heat below 80. The guest house air conditioning did not work at all and a repairman had to be sent to repair. Even then, it was very poor and remained in the mid 70's no matter the setting. Also, the hot tub is set remotely so we had to contact the property managers each time we wanted to use the tub and then wait 30 minutes to heat up. Bottom line is this property is not remotely worth the price, especially after a ridiculous amount of “owner charges”. And to make matters even more annoying, once we made a deposit, we were stuck with the house as they had a no refund policy. Walk, no run, from this grossly overpriced hovel.

The home is massive and beautiful! We had a group of 11 women and didn't even need to use the three rooms in the back house because the main home was so big and accommodating. The host was very responsive and I got everything I needed before checking in.
