We had a great time at the ripe choice farm stay! The property was exactly as described, very tidy and perfect for a couple.
We had a lot of fun exploring the area, checking out wineries and hiking.

This was the perfect getaway for my partner and I to celebrate our anniversary. There were thoughtful touches from the owners, a suuuper comfortable bed, and divine breakfasts. What more could you ask for?

We loved our stay at the Ripe Choice. Mark and Tammy were wonderful hosts.

Great hosts, property exactly as described, and nice stay on a small farm. Really delicious food available from the hosts, although a bit pricey - we got the dinner, was really nice, best asparagus I've ever tasted!
The barn loft is pretty solid - lacking some things like a kitchen sink to wash glasses (did this in the bathroom), but that was all fine. A little bit of noise from the commercial kitchen for their catering business , but nothing significant. Pretty hot in the loft too - we arrive on a 85 degree day, and took about 30 minutes of running the unit and fans to get comfortable. If you're coming on a hot day, might be worth messaging the hosts to ask them to start running the cooling and fans like an hour before you plan to arrive.
Overall, very enjoyable, good value for cost.

We were in town visiting family and it was lovely to have our own space at the end of the day. If you stay here without ordering a meal from Ripe Choice, you are missing out! The owners asked for any dietary needs and I have a few, which they worked around deliciously.

The weather was cold and rainy and the power went out, but having said that John and Tammy were way beyond wonderful checking in with us making sure that we were warm and comfortable. Do the ripe thing, get the breakfast! We did and it was amazing. And it was delivered to us HOT! We loved our time and will be back!

Loved staying at this property. Had a couple of pigs and chickens roaming around. Was also dog friendly.

The food was absolutely amazing! I definitely recommend adding breakfast and dinner to your stay. The farm itself is lovely and larger than i expected. My 2yo, dog, and I enjoyed walking thr grounds and visiting the animals. Very nice, quiet area perfect for relaxing. Lots of activities nearby to occupy your time. Fantastic hosts and can't wait to visit again.

We loved staying here. The hosts, Mark and Tammy, were so helpful from the beginning of the registration process to the last day of our stay. They were especially nice and gave us lots of good advice about the area. The property is just as beautiful as it looks in the photos. The view from each of the windows was amazing. It is so relaxing and comfortable and we enjoyed every day. We can’t wait to stay here again.

We stayed here for a five day personal Easter retreat and it was such a wonderful idyllic stay. Everything about the experience felt so beautiful and accommodating. Check-in was so pleasant, from the welcome messages Mark sent (complete with food, wine, and activity reco's) to the meticulous attention given to the room to make it feel country-home warm and clean modern luxury all at once. We loved the little touches sprinkled about like Easter eggs - the little games area with board games, yoga mat, toys for dogs (although we didn't have one), the jars of half-and-half and honey, little chalkboards with well wishes and reminders., the flashlights for exploring at night (which we did).
The grounds were beautiful, even more so than they described. We enjoyed walking around and doing quiet reflection (we didn't tell them we were there for meditation, but it made no difference whatsoever as they fully respected our space and it was so quiet throughout) - they had little areas for sitting and relaxing all around. Vineyards, an olive orchard next door, lots of green, and a distant view of the lake, the occasional chicken, pig, deer, and even their dogs greeting us.
Not least were Mark and Tammy themselves. They are such lovely, welcoming people. We eventually sprung for Chef Tammy's breakfast, which we initially thought was a bit pricey but in the end was worth every penny. With every bite, we were overwhelmed with both the feeling of homey nostalgia and the sophistication of a Michelin star restaurant at once. Every element of it - bacon, eggs, yogurt, granola, scone - was done perfectly. I know it sounds weird, but that's the only way I can explain it, like if your grandma was the chef for the Four Seasons. It was amazing - we regret not going for the dinner! If you're staying here, don't hesitate - you won't regret it.
All in all a good stay, one of our most memorable trips. We'll be back!

This is the second time we have stayed at this property and it is truly a gem! John and Tammy are amazing hosts, super communicative, sweet, and helpful. Tammy is an amazing chef, so you absolutely have to order at least one meal when you stay here. We were celebrating my girlfriend's birthday this time and there was a mixup in the flower delivery. John and Tammy went out of their way to give us a bottle of champagne when we arrived and then they also drove out and picked up the flowers I had ordered. The farm is beautiful, there are many nearby wineries, and an amazing hike up Mt Konocti if you want to do that. We will definitely be back for a third time soon!

We wanted to explore the Lake County region, north of Napa/Sonoma, as another lovely wine region, plus they have orchards. Glad we did, especially in November with the beautiful fall colors. Our hosts were lovely, and in true “bed and breakfast” fashion, our host, a professional chef and caterer, made the most amazing breakfasts! We even opted for a dinner one night, also amazing. We loved the charming farm setting with animals roaming, and the loft accommodations we’re comfortable, spacious, and well appointed with all the amenities you’d need or want. We initially found this property because they are dog-friendly. What a great find for all these other reasons! We plan to return again during spring or early fall at harvest.

We were visiting family and vacationing in Lakeport, CA and the Ripe Choice Farm was the perfect location. We were right down the road from our family and it was a great base for exploring Northern California (local and day trips). Lakeport is a rural, small town area and it's just how we like it. It isn't overly busy and touristy. The Ripe Choice Farm was just as described. It has everything a couple needs for a quiet and peacefully trip. The vineyards, orchards, and farm animals are a plus.

There was a certain magic about this place - this was quite literally the best night of sleep I have had in any lodging property.
The place is immaculate and there is plenty of parking under the apple trees. The town nearby, Kelseyville, is a quaint farming town with several outstanding wineries and a great brewery as well. There are nicer places to eat like the Saw Shop and Redd’s at the local airport and also down-home places like Lyndall’s.
I would suggest doing as we did - three nights. It gave us a chance to explore and enjoy. We are already scheming our return and quite looking forward to it.

Serene setting on a working farm. Spacious apartment. We love it so much we keep coming back. Wish we could keep it a Secret. Mark and Tammy are the best.

Nice secluded rustic space with a very comfy bed. Great value for the price. One large room with a modern bathroom and shower. AC worked great during some very hot weather. Layout of the room is a bit strange with TV on the side of bed and chairs across the room. Wi-Fi Internet was very spotty connection - may have been due to heat. There is an industrial kitchen just below the “loft” that was a little noisy but not bothersome. The space would be significsntoy improved if they added a kitchenette with a sink, small stove, and cooktop to make own food. Currently just a fridge and microwave for eating.

Had a wonderful and restful stay on the farm. The pigs and turtle were so cute. We had so much fun introducing our dog to all the animals. Enjoyed our home cooked breakfast.

We had the best time! This is the 3rd time staying at this property. Very clean and comfortable!

The loft is very comfortable with a nice king bed and mini kitchen; basically fridge and microwave. AC worked great. The farm is very cute with chickens, pigs, and a giant tortoise. All so cute and mesmerized for my dog. The best part was having Tammy's great creations for breakfast and dinner. So nice! Dinner was fabulous steak, all the sides, and a great bottle of wine. Breakfast was perfect. Made the stay super relaxing.
The area is great for wine tasting and a bit of hiking (although a bit hot for the hike). Unfortunately, the lake itself...so low. Very sad. And an outbreak of algae so no swimming. But great stay at the farm! Thank you!

We had a lovely time staying at the farm for the most part of a week.
We had two delicious breakfasts and dinner one evening provided by Tammy. It was too hot to eat al fresco but we did have our morning coffee under the beautiful tree in the yard. I believe the tree was a London Plane which is very pretty to sit under and enjoy the shade.
We enjoyed walking around the farm and seeing all the animals. We were looking for a quiet escape from city life, and we got that and more. The bright new moon and the twinkling stars each night was delightful, Mother Nature at her finest.
The accommodations had everything we needed, a comfy bed, a/c and peace and quiet, priceless. We spent most of our days exploring, going to the ocean, the farmers market, and north to see the giant Redwoods.
Communications with John were great. I would love to return.

We are on our first 2 nights of honeymoon. check-in was done very nicely without any contact, we had access to the building/room, internet, etc. it was nice and private and the host provided for any needs we had. Pictures in the add are a bit outdated as the room has some new furniture. Really pleasant stay! 9.8/10

Having grown up in Kelseyville, it was so heart-warming to enjoy a true farm stay, complete with piggies and bats and the fresh smells of an onsite apple orchard, vineyard, and a shady yard. The barn loft is so roomy and quiet! We loved our stay!

I had a wonderful short stay in the barn loft – and hope to return. It was large, comfortable and breezy with lovely views of the farm. I especially enjoyed strolling through the grape vines and fruit trees and relaxing in an Adirondack chair in the shade of an old oak. Friendly owners and a great location for exploring Lake County.

Tammy & Mark were wonderful hosts. Tammy made us the most delicious dinner.. The apartment was large and comfortable and the property was beautiful. We loved visiting with the farm animals and enjoyed sitting in the orchard/vineyard with a glass of wine. It is a quiet (except for loud fireworks) and private spot. We visited nearby wineries and hiking trails.

Tammy and Mark were amazing hosts. The property was adorable and the loft was very comfortable with luxury bedding. We really enjoyed the farm animals and all of the trees in the orchard were blooming. Our gourmet dinner made by Chef Tammy was one of the best meals we have ever had. We visited nearby farms and wineries. We would highly recommend this location.

This was a wonderful little place with everything you would want or need. It was very quiet and Chris was very helpful. My grandson loved visiting the pot belly pigs, tortoise and chicken. Definitely would stay again.

I loved the barn loft concept

We wanted a quiet getaway for just us. The farm was just as advertised. Mark and Tammy were available but not intrusive. The breakfast we added on was so amazing. The loft had everything we could ask for. Clean and homey. We were able to completely relax. So dark at night you could really see the stars. Definitely a return again place.

The hosts were wonderful: very friendly and responsive without being intrusive at all. The room itself was comfortable, clean and spacious, with rustic charm, yet all the amenities I needed (modern bathroom, fridge, microwave, Keurig, well stocked cupboard of utensils & dishes, etc). The giant windows afforded a lovely overlook of the farm property, and you can drift to sleep watching the multitude of stars from the cozy memory foam bed, watch the little morning bats swooping outside just before dawn, and you can even see a sliver of Clear Lake and the mountains on a non-misty day. The small collection of adorable resident critters include a couple of friendly dogs, a few curious hens, two charming potbellied pigs, and one slightly shy giant tortoise. Oh and the food. The FOOD! I was welcomed to invite a couple of my local friends to join me for a few meals on the farm, and each meal outdid the last, carefully prepared to suit our dietary requests. Extremely generous portions, and could not have been more fresh and delicious! The hands-down best meals of my entire week in CA. I hope to come back again sometime with my husband, as I know he would love this place as much as I did!

Me and my partner had a really wonderful stay at this adorable farm. The loft space itself is very inviting and got so nice and cool at night that it was really easy to sleep well even being so far from home. The hosts were kind and made some good recommendations in the area, and the animals at the farm were incredibly friendly - especially the pigs. I would recommend it to anyone.

Love having all the space of a studio and having nearby parking. Hosts are really easy to get in contact with.

Accommodation is welcoming and spacious. Dinner and breakfasts were delicious and plentiful. Definitely recommending this Lakeport oasis and plan on returning.

We loved staying at this farm! The studio loft is above the kitchen where Chef Tammy makes her incredible food. The birds gently woke us up each day. After we ate our hearty breakfast we went outside and were greeted by the pot belly pigs and dogs. Loved those critters. The hosts, Tammy and Mark, were very nice. Highly recommend this lovely retreat.

My stay was absolutely nothing short of perfect. There are so many highlights- Chef Tammy’s exquisite meals, the kindness and generosity of the owners, the peacefulness of the farm and surrounding area, and the adorable extended farm family (2 dogs, 2 pigs, 5 chickens, a tortoise, neighborhood cats, as well as all the birds fluttering around). I spent one day enjoying the farm in various spots, such as reading in the hammock, sitting on my picnic blanket with the animals, and watching the star come out at the fire pit. I enjoyed Chef Tammy’s excellent dinner after hiking the peaks of nearby Mt. Konocti. Another day I enjoyed Chef Tammy’s box lunch while out exploring the towns around the lake. Hands down, Chef Tammy’s breakfast was one of the best meals I’ve ever had. She was very thoughtful and creative in accommodating my dietary needs/preferences and is clearly a talented chef. The barn loft was serene, clean, comfortable, had many thoughtful touches, and was filled with the good energy of the morning breezes and sunset skies pouring through. It was hard to leave and I look forward to my next visit.
