About this house rental
This two-bedroom cabin was once a wedding chapel. Completed in early 2021, it has all basic modern amenities, and sits at the tip of a 500 acre ranch.
The nearby pool and spa area is heated in winter and open to the weather the rest of the time, with much natural light and fresh air. There is also an 8 bedroom Lodge on the property, as well as another cabin, both of which have access to the pool area.
Use our private boat ramp and/or schedule a guided fishing trip.

We loved staying at this property. It is quaint and well taken care of. We were checked on multiple times to make sure everything was going great. We could not have been happier with our choice to stay here. We will do it again!

The property was not as expected. The men on site evidently own the property and were nice people but the church/cabin is second,at best, on their list. The lake is a couple hundred yards away, the boat launch is a 1/4 to 1/2 mile down a dirt road, and just to get to the cabin or lodge you have to drive 3 miles down a dusty dirt road from the main highway. Your vehicles or boat will not be clean. I had to wash my boat in the lake just to get the dirt off in order to use it. The cabin itself is not for seperate couples, unless you are into listening to everyones private business. There is not a full wall in the house except between the two bathrooms. The remaing walls are all open on top. No privacy at all. According to the man on site the water is well water and not good to drink but the have a water dispenser for drinking water, however the dispenser flow is little more than a fast drip. We ended up buying our own bottled water to make coffee and tea. The poor water flow was also in the masterbathrooms sink. There is no pressure what so ever at the faucet. The cabin itself was somewhat clean but there definitely was pet hair on the rug in the master bedroom. My wife is allergic and was having difficulty with her allergies before we realized what was causing the problem. NOW BE SURE IF YOU BOOK THE CABIN THAT YOU ARE AWARE OF ANY OCCUPANTS IN THE MAIN LODGE! It was 5:30AM before their party ended the first night. Also they shot fireworks two nights which was not allowed!

We got more than we anticipated from this short getaway. In the best way possible. Our kids loved the experience of exotic animals on the property and caught lots of fish. It ended up feeling like we were family at our second home. Can’t wait to come back.

We arrived really late (our fault)and it was dark. We struggled finding where we were suppose to go. However with a few text and a phone call we were right where we were suppose to be. The next morning brought beautiful views of the property, lake, deer and even the zebra and donkey that reside on the property. Our cabin was very spacious, well decorated and the beds were very comfortable. My only suggestions are arrive in the daylight and enjoy the property. Also bring water and ice. There is a water dispenser but we drink a bunch of water and ice. The owner, Stacey was extremely nice. He checked on us and offered to show some of the property to us. This property would be great for a family reunion or a friends weekend.

Our family stayed here while visiting Dallas. We wanted a "true Texas experience," so we steered away from houses in Dallas and chose a country ranch--it was great! Very clean, quiet environment, and easy communication with the property manager. The beds are 1 king, 1 full, 1 twin, and the couch if needed. Cute decor with a Texas feel. Thank you for a happy visit!
