Out dated look like they are remodeling some of them ares was not this is were it seems like the app and the owner is not on the same page were booked one cabin and when we got there at 3 pm check in time right on time all the cabins were full and someone else was already
in the cabin we were supposed to be getting so we got the wrong cabin it should have had a Queen size bed.But the manager went out of his way to accommodate us

Cabin on the lake but both lakes within walking distance are private. You can walk around them but the locals will give you a dirty look like you don’t belong there. There are nice areas in the neighborhood to paddle board within driving range but you might as well camp nearby. The cabin was a step up from being in a tent but there was no WiFi and there’s trash all around the house. Not worth $200 a night. We stayed for about an hour then went home. Not impressed.

The hosts were very nice and tried to get anything we asked for (like a baking sheet for the kitchen). It’s a short walk to the main town for a tavern, library and general store. The hosts were very knowledgeable about things to do in the area as well as the regulations for the different lakes. There’s also a Lion’s Club park nearby. The accommodations were disappointing. The room smelled very musty and there were so many flies inside. At night we could hear critters chewing on wood in the roof. The grounds were very dirty and we worried about the dogs and kids getting cut on glass walking around. The shower leaked so the floor was wet and smelly. We all ended up with stuffy noses and were taking allergy pills to sleep. There were signs that the owners are trying to upgrade and improve the space but it was difficult to relax in the current state. The room we had was not pictured in the listing, that one appeared more renovated than ours.

Had a good time with my son and friend on a fishing trip. Good location to hit up a bunch of lakes. Owners are super cool and have a neat store right next to cabin.

If you are looking for a lodge with all the amenities, this is not the place for you. However if you are looking for a place to stay that is homey and quaint, I would book again. Not everything is perfect or sterile looking but it was unique. I would say it’s like a hunting lodge. You have a bathroom and a kitchen, that are adequate. I always felt welcome and the property manager is easy to communicate with. All needs are quickly met.

Fishing access nearby and also down the road at Dowdy. Nice hike at Mount Margaret.

Property wasnt very clean . The pictures are very misleading. our room had a mouse running around it. It was very cramped room. the only good thing was the water was very hot. The owners were very nice though.

I thought the owner/manager was incredibly nice, but not very good at communicating. It is located in a great part of Red Feather Lakes, a lot of conveniences within walking distance. As for the actual accommodations, this place is rugged and perhaps not fairly priced. Its all of the little things that add up to a feeling that you paid too much. Not enough silverware, no salt and pepper, we had to buy some from their general store, very thin walls. The outside pics are a bit misleading. It was just a little junky/messy. I sincerely feel that with a little effort, this place could be so much better and I wouldn't have felt like I was paying way too much for the space. I hope the owners will read this and make some simple changes to make this a better place to stay.

The cabins are really nice and very clean. The only complaint is no wifi

This place is a place to lay your head and that’s about it. The grounds around the complex is in pretty bad shape and a bit scary.

Marcy, the host, had just taken over the property and there are renovations that need to be made that she is working on. It is an historic property set in a beautiful, scenic location. The lodging was dated, but clean. The beds were comfortable. Plenty of parking. Short walk to the cute little town, and her "shop" had everything from camping gear to hardware, to a lovely little ice cream shop. (I recommend Bunny Tracks.) She was pleasant and knowledgable about the area. She recommended a good local restaurant for dinner.

Negatives- Was not given contact number or even name of the resort before arrival. No one was at location to check us in at designated time. No breakfast provided as promised first 2 days. Lake it is next to is private and must pay to use. Room was about half the 800 sq ft advertised
Pros- clean cabin & comfortable bed

We did not end up staying here overnight. When we first arrived we were put into a different unit. I had to go back and talk to the managers about the unit we booked. The property was in disarray. It was very unorganized and communication was very difficult. I am not one to usually leave reviews but something was very off with this property. It felt dirty and creepy. My family has stayed in some rustic places, but we could not even spend the night here I'm sorry to say.

Our family stayed 1 night so we could visit our friends in Red Feather Lakes. The beds were comfy and we had hot water. The
room had everything needed for a short stay. This is more like a rural studio cabin than a hotel so set your expectations. We brought our dog too!

When booking I noticed other’s reviews weren’t the greatest but I decided that we were going to see for ourselves. We were not disappointed. I’m assuming some are expecting and 5 star luxury hotel while booking a small rustic cabin in one of Colorado’s small towns. The cabin is warm and cozy, just what is needed after a chilly day on the lake. It has everything you need; a warm bed, kitchen, table and bathroom. It is simple living at its best and the staff cannot be beat. They are very warm and welcoming and more than accommodating. We will be back!

We were lucky enough to book 2 cabins at this quaint, rustic location in red feathers. Family of 8 between 2 cabins. Not only is the location perfect, but our stay was great. The cabins are rustic, clean and very comfortable. A full kitchen with all you need is provided. We were able to take our well behaved pups. We had a small hiccup with one of our reservations, but Rocky and his staff fixed the issue immediately. Great little Hilltop store with fair prices, a fun ice cream parlor attached. They provided free fire wood and fire pit ready to go with plenty of comfy chairs. We will be back again!

Mostly this property ok. The short comings of this property is the bathroom is ridiculously small and there isn't a sink in it.
The water smells so badly. High sulfer smell. Bring your own water.
The rest of cabin is satisfactory and bed is comfortable.
The staff very friendly and accommodating.

This property is old, not well-maintained or very clean and lacks basic necessities. There was no hot water in the unit at all, and even if there had been, I'm not sure I would have used the shower as it was not at all clean. The owner seemed surprised that we were there, despite having made the reservation weeks earlier. Did go on a scavenger hunt with me to find a coffee pot (in another unit) as there was none in our unit. The only positive was that the beds were comfortable, at least. All in all, not worth it.

The people were very nice , but clueless.
The property was dirty, the tv did not work, the bathroom did not have a sink and there was not a mirror for my wife to use to get ready in the morning. With all of this we asked for our money back and drove all the way back to a city to rent a room. My wife and I were looking forward to a nice getaway, so this was very disappointing and ruined our getaway.

I got this cabin for a friends wedding near the chapel. They had shuttles ready to leave at 330. check in time was set for 2 o clock for us and my party and i arrived at 3 and room was not ready. My friends and i ended up having to get dressed in the gift shop and ended up missing the shuttle. horrible experience.

The beds were comfortable. We had such a sweet view out our window. Our 30lb older well traveled dog loved it!
The staff were all very helpful, friendly and fun spirits!!
A very nice location, lovely walks, close to grocery stores, tavern and couple of shops. There is a sweet large gazebo you can sit & have their delicious ice cream, sandwich or beverage that is right on the most gorgeous lake. Also outdoor seating. Peaceful lovely stay!

the unit was very clean and had everything that we could need, including a tv, refrigerator, full kitchen, nice living room and great bed. Really liked the proximity of the unit to the surrounding lakes which is what we came for. Above all the owners were terrific, helpful and very friendly.

Great little place to stay. Very close to the lakes. Only issues was the Wifi was not working at the cabin and we could not get a day pass to fish at the private lake 200 yards away. I do recommend and will be returning soon.

Marci was great with check-in and showing us the cabin. The television wasn't working in our room so we were switched to a different cabin. This is a very rustic cabin. Lakes are nearby and there are lots of places to walk. We took our two dogs and they had a great time. There is an ice cream shop on the property which you must try. I will definitely return.

This is not a vrbo, its a very old run down motel. We had to fix door just so it would lock. For the price we paid, not worth it. We did have a great time in the area.
