This property is absolutely perfect for a long weekend for a couple. We were centrally located to do all the tourist things and came back every evening for a meal out in Custer. We loved be able to walk everywhere in the evenings. A great old historic building!

Perfect location!

Almost perfect for our little family, though it didn't realistically sleep 4; pull-out is a twin. We mostly used it as a quick turnaround spot and to sleep. It was comfortable, had everything we needed, and was surprisingly quiet given the central location! A screen in the bedroom window would be nice to let the cool night air in as the air conditioning doesn't reach there.

It was great. We stayed for 4 nights. The bed was very comfortable. The area was fantastic with lots of stores and amazing restaurants. We will definitely be back!!!

We loved staying in Custer, walking to restaurants and visiting the parks nearby. The apartment was perfect for 2 of us with recent updates in a cool old building. Bed was very comfortable and kitchen had everything we needed. The futon in front of the tv was not a comfortable place to sit.

This was perfect for our visit to Custer! Clean, well supplied. Location was great too. Manager was very responsive to any questions we had! I would stay here again!

Convenient location to main street. Owner is very responsive and accomodating.

Cozy little apartment (on premises laundry a plus) right in the heart of Custer, walking distance to many restaurants and bars, as well as a grocery store. Short drives to Custer State Park, Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Jewel and Wind Caves. Great spot from which to explore the amazing Black Hills!
8.0 / 10.0
Perfect for two people, clean and within walking distance of Main Street businesses. Just make sure you realize you have a flight of steps to access your apartment and the couch is a bit low for seniors.

Clean, newly renovated VRBO. Has all the basic necessities. Conveniently located. Initially had a difficult time getting into our VRBO, perhaps I was just misunderstanding the directions. The owner did respond initially when I had concerns.

This apt was perfect! Jerry is a great host - absolutely nothing was overlooked and the king bed was very comfortable. Perfect location centrally located to all the state and nat'l parks and monuments. Don't miss Custer state park right up the road. Plenty of good places to eat and Gold Pan Saloon two or three doors down is open late. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!

A great place for a solo or couple to stay. Extremely comfortable bed. The apartment is walking distance to numerous restaurants and shops, as well as a great ice cream joint. Custer is easy to get to all the amenities the area has to offer.

The location was right in the heart of Custer - being able to walk to eat, shop and hike was great. The location also is within 30 minutes' drive of the area's attractions. The apartment looked exactly like the photos. Everything was nice, clean and fresh. After four nights, only a couple of negatives were evident - the super uncomfortable futon/couch and lack of bathmat after showering. Everything else was thoughtful (hooks in the bathroom) and comfortable (bed).

We dropped our youngest off at college and decided a fun way to celebrate was staying in Custer. When we booked our stay we were hoping to be downtown Custer. The property is in the exact center of the downtown shopping, restaurants and nightlife!!! This place hits so many marks high that we will have a hard time with other properties now. The apartment is on the back side of the historic 1890 building, how cool, but has been entirely remodeling on a stunning modern meets old west. The new LVT rolls with the amazing original floors, probably the coolest feature to us. The owners left us personal touches that made it feel like staying at a friend's property rather than a complete stranger. Again, AMAZING! The last thing to review is the bed......I don't know what type of mattress that is but I want to know because it was the most comfortable bed we had slept on in years. Put this one on your list if you find yourself in the area for sure!
