Listing looked even better in person. Property upkeep is terrific, and the neighborhood is beautiful and secluded. We were very comfortable here in a group of 5 adults and enjoyed all the nearby hikes and waterfalls! I highly recommend it.

My wife and I had a delightful stay at Serenity. The accommodations were perfect for our early fall get-a-way. We particularly enjoyed our morning and evening walks around the lake and the wooded landscape surrounding the lake. We’ll be back!

Nice stay
This was a nice place. Big enough for a large group and a beautiful deck. A downside was the very high pet fee that is non-refundable ($400 for two well behaved dogs).

Location was great. House was clean and well stocked. Area was quiet and relaxing. Kayak and paddle boat rides on lake were really beautiful.

Great family getaway
We booked for a short family getaway and had so much fun. Location was close to Rickett’s Glen for hiking and right by the lake. Kayaks/pedal boat included which was great for the kids. Cabin was cozy and clean. Will likely be booking again.

Just as described.
Great location. House was clean and well kept. I would rent the property again.

was a nice location but some trees have grown up and it was hard to see the lake plus it was a couple miles drive to the beach

Comfortable house, excellent location
This house by a lake in the woods was just what we were looking for. The location was perfect--quiet with a lovely view of Lake Mokoma. We used the kayaks several times. It was an easy drive to both World's End and Ricketts Glen State Parks, where the hiking and scenery were exceptional. The house was very comfortable for six of us--clean and well equipped. The wood stove contributed to the coziness.

The house was great- as described. The location on the lake can’t be beat, kayaks and lake access made the stay as great as we could have expected.

Relaxing lake experience
The description of the property was spot on. Was a very fun filled weekend with the kids involving fishing kayaking and hiking. Was a perfect get away for a weekend of relaxation in the outdoors. House was clean and had all amenities necessary. Grill and front deck was excellent for hanging out while cooking. Will definitely recommend this rental to friends and family.

The property was great
The property was beautiful, the house was amazing, it's advertised as "fully stocked" yet was missing towels and sheets... I loved the whole experience, but maybe a warning about towels and sheets would be nice

This house was perfect for our weekend away. World's End is an easy 10 minute drive away, and the Lake was beautiful.

A disappointing stay
The chalet was filthy, dusty and smelled very musty and old. Upon our arrival, we had to open the doors and turn on the fans to try to get rid of the smell - it did not work... It also smelled like bug spray coming from the basement.
It was so dark even with all the lights on and the sun shining, we could barely see what we were doing.
There were spider webs in the corners of the rooms and in every window. Two large spiders crawled across the very old carpets.
There were many tripping hazards, including the rugs at the front door and in the bathroom. Also, the rugs in the main part of the house, were loose and saggy and had ridges on them making them unsafe too.
While the listing stated there was a view of the lake, that was definitely misleading. The lake was at least 150 feet from the front porch and barely visible.
Getting from the house to the lake was treacherous as well, the terrain was steep and rocky, certainly not appropriate for me nor my 84-year old father.
The entire place needs a new coat of paint and all the knick-knacks made the chalet seem outdated.
We were afraid to sit on the furniture for fear of what might be contained in the fabric. The dining room chair cushions need to be washed. There were stains on every one.
There were two redeeming qualities - plenty of room for our families to spread out with lots of beds and the porches were spacious too.
We visited now with the potential of coming back with our families next summer. Though not on the website, it is posted all over at the property that swimming is prohibited in the lake. Five children under the age of 16 expect to spend all day in the water - so disappointing.
For the money we paid we were sorely disillusioned. We will not be returning.

Beautiful, perfectly stocked.
Location is amazing, description perfectly accurate. The property came equipped with an impressive kitchen array, basic hotel style toiletries that we did not expect; 2 full Propane tanks for the Grill. We had 9 adult guests and found the place to be more then accommodating as far as space/comfortable sleeping arrangements.

Weekend stay
We stayed here for the weekend while in town for a race. The property was awesome! Took out boats on the lake and went fishing. Had plenty of room for the 6 of us and even a crib there for my 10 month old :). Would definitely recommend the property and if we do this race again, I would definitely love to stay again!
