As many said this entire property is under renovation and a long way from being done. A lot of questionable people hanging out outside building and as guests. Man on our floor was smoking pot in the hallway. We asked for a new room and floor as the smell was everywhere. Staff was very nice and accommodating but I would never stay here again!
3.2
I never stay there an they took my money
3.2
Staff was very friendly and the breakfast fare well above average. The room door stuck so it was difficult to open from both sides. This hotel was doing room upgrades and overall renovation so future patrons should find the surroundings clean and improved.
3.2
Although this hotel is under construction for upgrades, we enjoyed our stay here. The areas that were not under construction were well maintained an clean. our updated room was very nice.
3.2
The hotel is under remodel but almost finished.

It was fantastic the staff is very nice

I would stay here again just for the Friendly Staff!
Friendly and helpful staff... they made the stay better. Hotel was under light construction during my stay, but it was still peaceful. I never heard a noise. This hotel needs the remodel... I would love to go back once its done. Great location with lots of potential.
I had to stay near the hospital, luckily for me this hotel was across the street. Easy to get to and restaurant walkable distance.

Not so good. No toilet paper in bathroom. Very dirty, unusable coffee machine. Pet fees that were not previously disclosed to me. Outside very unkept.
3.2
Honestly wish it was not under construction. Expedia did not tell us pool was going to be closed, it’s 100 outside a pool on vacation is a big deal, nothing against Laquita they did everything they could to make it a perfect stay, really blame Expedia for not sharing all info or when asked to compensate telling us to pound sand. This is why we should all go to the hotel directly

Hotel was under heavy renovation, smelled musty and gross. Our room was not cleaned when we arrived, door was wide open and bed was unmade. Had to go to front desk and have housekeeping come and finish cleaning. Sketchy people hanging out in parking lot, just bad experience all around
3.2
It was a friends weekend at the beach. We stayed at this hotel on the way home for just one night. The room was clean. We had what was needed. The service was good and prompt. It was friendly. The hotel is still under renovations so there were still some areas that were need of repair and it smelled funky in the main lobby. But breakfast was good and plenty. Hotel room bathroom was nicely renovated in our room and we were comfortable.

The AC was not working up to par half of it was under construction. The pool was closed under closed under construction parking lot was a mess most the ice machines didn’t work. I think the only one that worked was the one on the second floor, and there was no couch as pictured in the rooms in our room just two beds and a desk with one chair

Amazingly magnificent i will be going back

The hotel ran out of towels and washcloths. The breakfast was horrible. Only 4 hot food items. Two servings of the same sausage, eggs, and potatoes. There was a broken waffle maker sitting out, a few bagels, no muffins, and some cereal.
3.2
Very nice and lots of things to do in the area

Excellent place, nice and quiet✅

I didn’t like the property as it is not maintained well.

Random folks parked in the lot, drinking alcoholic beverages and occasional marijuana smell in the hallways brought an uneasy feeling for my family. The elevators seem to be cosmetically damaged as well. Housekeeping and staff was very pleasant and courteous.
3.2
dirty hallways and bad smell

liked the place they are currently doing construction cant wait to see the finished project. shout out too front desk associates they were willing to go head over heels to make sure my family was comfy.
3.2
Not parking , unsafe place after 10 pm
3.2
The room was old and outdated. Did not have emergency access such as phone in the room. They put me on a floor that was being remodeled and I was disturbed by the noise. I should have been given a discount for the inconvenience. Sheets on the bed did not appear to be fresh. I had to remove them.
3.2
It was good. Love dog friendly hotels.
3.2
It was under construction but nice
3.2
The hotel was comfortable but undergoing some renovations. It felt like our room had recently been renovated and the bathroom was very nice. The clerk, John, was friendly and warm. Prices were reasonable. The breakfast wasn’t too appealing to us but other guests seemed to be enjoying it.
We would stay there again.

This hotel is under construction with limited amenities advertised being provided. The cleaning staff were great, but little can be done with features not being well mounted or missing. Pool, gym, recreation room are not available. Elevators have graffiti in every wall, parking lot has construction material in different areas. Rooms were clean and had the basics with the exception of internet or phone.

Place has roaches so this will be my last stay. One met me when I got there and Mama roach came out the day I left. Thing was huhe!
3.2
Staff was wonderful and friendly. Room was clean but definitely in need of upgrades. The bed was super noisy. Also very disappointed that the pool was not open. Per the reason for gettin this hotel in the first place. Ice maker also not working right outside our room.
3.2
Only 2 towels.2 facecloths
No hand towelsor shower mat
No hangers
Breakfast buffet not the greatest
No cream cheese. A few apples
Food cold. No staff around

Mold in our room.

Was under heavy renovation. No Facilities were available. Room renovation was rushed to complete and it was unfinished and of poor construction quality.

It was good but under renovation.

Weird vibe in the parking lot , a lot of construction through out , elevator was very dirty . We have been coming here on our way to the Outer Banks for several years and this was the worst experience . We probably won’t stay here again :(
3.2
The hotel was being renovated so the indoor pool was closed along with the bar & restaurant . They did serve continental breakfast every morning. I’d like to return when renovations are completed. Staff were friendly.

Where should I start first. Upon receiving our room keys and entering the room we found that the room was never cleaned. Beds were a mess and there was trash in the trash cans. There are no phones to call down to the front desk, so I hauled all of our luggage and the children back down to the front desk at 9 PM at night to try and get another room. We were assigned another room. Room smelled like it had not had any fresh air in 10 years. Could not crack a window to let any fresh air in. There's no enforcement for quiet hours after 10 PM. Heard people laughing and carrying on and talking loudly in the hallway, and slamming their room doors throughout the night. Breakfast is borderline tolerable. Skeeves you out when there's tons of construction going on all over the place and then you have to eat food around this. Who knows how safe it is when you're walking around when the ceilings are exposed and wiring is hanging out. Who knows what other dust we are breathing or getting in our food with all this construction going on. Had to travel down 3 floors to get ice, and then who knows if dust is getting in these ice machines where there is construction going on right on the other side of plastic barriers. Carpet, walls, ceiling in hallways all worn and beat up.

If you have any other alternatives, take one. This hotel is undergoing renovation (and from what I’ve read, it’s been ongoing for a couple of years). Our room was one that had an “updated” bathroom, but it was shoddily done - paint splatters all over the floor. The rest of the room (and hotel) seemed stuck in the 90s and smelled funny. The pool and weight room were closed. The bar/restaurant was closed (except for breakfast). The “game room” had wires and cables hanging down from the ceiling with notices to parents to watch their children because of it. When I booked the room, I only read a couple of the low star reviews - saw that they were complaining at the lack of an exercise room and pool, but since we were only there for a night on our way back home, I figured it didn’t matter; we didn’t need a weight room or a pool. It’s a La Quinta, after all, and I’ve always had good experiences with this chain. I’m frankly shocked that they’re allowed to keep the name. I left a pair of shoes behind (a favorite pair) and when I called the next day to see if I could send a friend to get them, they claimed not to have found them. Actually, I called the next day, but the housekeeping staff had already gone home, so I had to call again the day after that (which leads me to wonder why there isn’t a centralized list and found that is accessible to the front desk folks). It was the *only* place they could be since I’d worn them there, but wore a different pair home. Won’t be back.

The renovations are coming right along.

This property is under construction! Outdated rooms! A piece of crap!!!! They should mention this during booking and still charging top dollar for the crappy rooms!!

Hotel staff were wonderful and friendly!! Tons of construction in hotel, room smelled musty and trash all around back side of building. Could not deadbolt door.
