Amazing!!!!

The service was excellent: the front desk, concierge, door man, and bar staff, all of them were extremely attentive, helpful, and friendly. Our room was very cozy and comfortable, plus they did small things to make you feel at home like provide robes and slippers, cookies in the room when you check in, and so forth. The hotel was decorated beautifully for Christmas as well. Overall a very charming experience and would definitely stay here again.

For such a high end hotel, it was not as nice as much less expensive ones I’ve stayed in.

We had 3 rooms and our trip was to celebrate my daughter’s birthday. She was given an upgrade and had lovely treats in her room. This was really appreciated and a lovely touch.
We love staying here and look forward to returning.

Our stay here was absolutely perfect. Conveniently located near everything that we wanted to do on this trip, the Montague provided all the comfort and cleanliness that we desired. The hotel was attractive in its design and the entire staff was more than friendly. Our room was spacious and comfortable, as well as beautifully designed . If time allows you, joining the afternoon tea is a must. I would also highly recommend and evening at the leopard bar. Superb ambiance, friendly staff , and the opportunity to mingle with other guests and visitors. Please get yourself a leopard martini, you won’t be disappointed. 10/10 recommend.

Great service located in a wonderful area that was easy to get to everything in Central London.

Fabulous hotel and staff.. Absolutely loved my stay here, looking forward to staying here again soon x

Very friendly welcome and our room was available earlier than the stated check in time. Hotel is in a great location with tube stations within walking distance.
The downside was the size of the room which was cramped. A further negative was the temperature control in the room. There was a loose bedside plug socket that needs addressing. Discretionary tip added to the bill is a bit cheeky (£15).
We would stay here again based on the location but not at the price paid.

Amazing staff. The location was perfect for getting around the city on the tube. The Leopard Bar is very cool.

A perfect place to stay within walking distance for London Shows.
Friendly staff, beautiful rooms, delicious food and a stunning bar area with live pianist.

The hotel is very traditional and so beautiful.
The room was a litttle tiny but the decor was beautiful.
The staff is a five star team⭐️ The room service was delivered very quickly and it was delicious ❤️
There’s a beautiful park just around the corner.
Thank you so much to everyone we had a lovely staying at your hotel!

The hotel staff were amazing. They went out of their way to make us comfortable and to accommodate our needs. From morning coffee in the lounge, helpful concierge service, and drinks in the bar to end the day, it was a wonderful experience. We will return.

We had an amazing 2 night stay rooms had everything you needed and lovely finishing touches like biscuits and chocolate left for us each evening. Staff went above and beyond highly recommend. The Leopard bar was beautifully decorated too. Within walking distance to lots of places and tube stations so easy to get around

Very poor tired and tatty rooms well past a well needed revamp and update. Not up to expectations.

Beautiful old hotel with a lot of charm and personality. The staff were exceptionally helpful and pleasant to deal with. We had a good dinner in the back room of the restaurant which has a garden view and followed up with a nightcap in the leopard themed bar. The whole hotel has a retro time capsule feel that we really enjoyed and again can’t say enough about how helpful and great the staff was.

Really genuine warm staff professional and helpful throughout. Hotel room was very comfortable and also had a bit of character certainly didnt feel like a typical chain room.
We also liked the quirky and fun bar for a drink in the evening. Even had a good pianist singer.

Lovely experience! It can be exhausting running around London, the Montague’s many amenities and very helpful staff kept us rested, fit and fed for an entire week. The staff was excellent with last minute requests and pets.

The hotel tried charging us an undisclosed fee of 15 pounds per night (x4). I protested and tipped the maid separately. The room we got was very small and the single window faced directly into a brick wall. Not very elegant for a hotel that was considerably more expensive than other options. The condition of the room can best be described bed as faded glory (and with a hole in the floor under the carpeting at the foot of the bed). Great location.

Lovely hotel with a great traditional British interior and incredible service. The staff always went the extra mile and were so hospitable. Highly recommend.

The welcome card had different name not mine, it makes me wonder they switch rooms, also they did not mention that there is a service fee. I am glad I did not leave cash tips to the room, but overall I like the location and the charm of the area.

We absolutely loved our stay at this hotel. From the moment we arrived, the staff was very welcoming and accommodating to ensure we knew about the hotel amenities. We were greeted with sweet treats to enjoy as well as parting chocolates when we departed. The property is perfectly situated on a quiet street, a welcoming reprieve from the hustle and bustle of Oxford and Convent Gardens. Conveniently located next to the British museum, it's also walking distance to beautiful gardens, trendy restaurants, shops, attractions and the theater. The breakfast buffet was everything you'd expect from an English breakfast and surprisingly more. The room was charming and comfortable. We would definitely return and highly recommend to travelers who want a memorable stay in London.

A small and fairly luxurious boutique hotel. Very comfortable rooms. The staff are particularly friendly, welcoming, and attentive. I have been staying at this property for about 20 years, infrequently, and it’s great to see that the standards are maintained.

This is a high ens boutique hotel. The only complaint I had was the bathroom. The tub was so deep getting in and out was a challenge for this short person. They were attentive to out every need and checked on us often.

Fabulous stay. Great service; very comfortable room; particularly the bed. The little extras in the room ( eg. cake, biscuits, good coffee, hand written welcome note) were all very much appreciated. Thank you all at The Montague on the Gardens; we’ll be back soon.

Its quiet but everything you need is accessible.

Such a wonderful and beautiful hotel. I have never felt so catered to in most places we stay. Every need they meet and they constantly check on you to see if there’s anything they can do. Danielle and India and Omari and the front desk were excellent. The doormen were so helpful, polite and just lovely people. The breakfast options delicious- just an amazing place. I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to be treated like kings and queens. The staff including housekeeping are all unbelievably gracious and warm. If I could give 10 stars I would for every aspect and so walkable to so many sights.
8.0
The staff was lovely. The linens were all top notch. Mattress was comfortable. Location is great-close to the Russel Square stop and right across from the British Museum. The lobby is nice. The areas that need improvement are the condition of the rooms. We had a suite. Picture frames and mirror frames were quite damaged. The furniture was in need of restuffing and reupholstering. The bar and the rooms looks tired and in need of updating. Lastly, we asked for a suggestion for a pre theater dinner. The staff could only refer to their sister property. The meal left much to be desired. Your guests should be able to trust the suggestions of the concierge. Poor form to not suggest more than one option. Makes the hotel look desperate and is, in general , poor form. Overall I would grade the property a B.

This is a lovely, quiet hotel in an excellent location. The bed was one of the most comfortable that I've had at a hotel. The service was very attentive. The rooms are quite cozy, but still a good value for the price.

The Montague is so charming and we are glad we chose this place for our first stop in England. We were a party of five, ranging from 70 to 7 years old. The staff at the Montague made us feel very welcome and even answered our questions regarding the history of the hotel and paintings. While the Montague was charming and perfectly located, it's the staff that would want us to return again. Thank you so much!
