Sisters' birthday weekend in Athens . we had only 2 days and the St George is perfect if you want to maximize your time/experience in Greece. The best location as it is walking distance from all major attractions. Acropolis, Plaka, Museums, Squares (Syndagma, Omonia, Monastiraki, Kolonaki, etc ) We even had time to climb the Lycabettus and escape to the coast for a dip into the sea.

Nothing was too much for the staff. Resturant waiters- Costas and everyone were very as good. Food is good too. The down said was not enough vegan options. Also the pool was not open till April, and gym is very basic

Great hotel, great service, great views.

Not very happy, they tried to overcharge upon exit.

We loved the location and the view of the Acropolis is breathtaking. We did get an upgrade upon arrival and the new room we got was just fantastic. Overall a great stay.

very nice place. nice service

The hotel has a unique location with panoramic views. The hotel is in need of some work.
4.0
Unfortunately not luxurious at all. Very small room and no special amenities for a “5 star” hotel. Below average and way below competitors like Electra Metropolis. They should be honest and advertise as a 3 or maybe 4 star hotel.

The staff was incredible — we will be back at least once again in 2024!

Well elevators has issue, 1 of them was broken and waited around 5 mjns just for elevator.
But except this it was a good stay

We had a very nice and relaxing comfortable stay at the St. George. Everyone in the staff were very attentive and very serviceminded. The hotel is in a beautiful spot and the view is amazing.
Definitely not our last stay at this hotel.

The hotel has amazing views. The staff were very friendly. Breakfast being included was a bonus and the food was good.

Beautiful views!

The hotel is on the top of a mountain which is not very user friendly for transportation. Breakfasst starts from 7:30 a so if you have early flight, no breakfast. The quality of food is like 3 star hotel. The view is fantastic as well as swimming pool. The staff are very goodand helpful. restaurant is very expensive compare to better restaurant within a few blocks if you can walk stairs

This was a last minute booking. We had reservations for another hotel but the neighborhood was not the best. Of course being our first visit to Greece we did not know this. The staff (the bellman, the front desk and room service) were incredibly helpful and kind. There is not one negative thing to say about this place. Oh, and the breakfast buffet was so good!

The room was perfect and the view unbeatable.

I guess it was just Ok.... pricey, the location is nice and the area around the hotel overall safe. Restaurant was expensive and food not great.

We stayed September 20 to the 23rd and had a fabulous time! The pool was excellent as the weather was very warm and what a view from the pool of the sunset and the Acropolis!
The dinning room was outstanding at night outside on the deck overlooking the city and the stunning views of the Acropolis at night and the food was excellent as well as the service.
All and all we felt very lucky to have found this gem of a hotel to be at before we boarded our cruise in the port of Piraeus which is only a half hour taxi ride away for 15 euro by taxi.
Airport to St. George hotel is 40 minutes and 45 euros.
Staff at this hotel went out of their way to make our stay so wonderful.
Close to everything and walking to the Acropolis 30 minutes or by cab 12 euros.

Beautiful hotel, delicious buffet breakfast and friendly staff.

Honestly I could see this hotel being a 5 Star at some point however rooms are not soundproof... you hear everything inside and out. The gym is really small (10ftX12ft), literally smaller than the rooms with very little equipment and when I called for water and towels for the gym I was told by front desk they "don't do that" but I can buy water. I upgraded to city views with a balcony and have only the backside of the neighbouring building and on the 1st floor. Breakfast buffet is minimal and not 5 star. The price to stay here is also ridiculous at $700/night.... I stayed at the Perinath earlier in my visit to Athens and it was sensational... definite a 5 star and much cheaper. Plus this hotel is in need of some repair.... only 5 star thing really is the view and staff. A friend had recommended it and his comments were just that-great view with amazing staff. I'm not sure that justifies the $700/night stay

Loved the location. Magnificent unobstructed views from the room and the restaurant of the Akropolis

This is a 3 star hotel at best. They may have been 5 stars 30 years or so ago, but the property is dated and has been poorly taken care of. The wallpaper is peeling away from the walls, there were tiles poorly plastered as replacements in the bathroom, etc.
The only real reason to go to this hotel is the view. I paid extra for a room upgrade, but had also booked one night at the hotel using credit card points, which only let me select a cheaper room. They gave me the cheaper room for all the nights, rather than switching our room. They told me it was the correct room and that they upgraded me for the first night. Either they were lying, or the rooms with the acropolis view don't have an acropolis view. If you leaned over the balcony you could see it, but you definitely couldn't see it from the room.
I'm not usually someone to care about service, but when booking a 5 star hotel, it's one of the things that's meant to be differentiating. The staff were rude at check-in, rude at breakfast, and were not only rude, but also unhelpful when I left something in the room and needed to have it sent to my next hotel.
I stayed in a boutique hotel later in my trip that was considerably cheaper, and the staff there were incredibly nice.
Don't expect this to be a 5-star experience. Save your money and stay somewhere else. It'll have nicer rooms, and friendlier staff. Maybe come here for a drink for the view.

Great location - wonderful views at breakfast and when using the roof top pool. The view from room towards a nearby set of apartments wasn’t the best but turn slightly and it was wonderful.
Hadn’t been back here for more than 10 years but a lot of the same staff were the same and provided the same excellent service I was used to.

Property was within 3 blocks of a very nice pedestrian street with nice bars and restaurants.

This Hotel is rated 5 star but unfortunately it is only a 3. It’s very rundown and the description is not quite accurate. There are far too many stairs even through the hotel.
The view of the Acropolis is spectacular and the Staff are great, but that’s all it has.

Great views at breakfast. About 20 mins walk to get to town centre/Acropolis which is pretty much a downhill walk. Coming back we got Ubers (approx €6 from town). Pool area was pretty crowded so didn't use it I'm afraid.

I was just in Athens for 1 night and didn’t want to be located in the center of the city! This is located in an amazing neighborhood close to the center with beautiful views of the city!

The hotel was lovely, the cleaning staff were great and the girls at pool side were attentive and efficient. It was very busy and I think a little understaffed in the restaurant. I would recommend the St George to anyone visiting Athens.

I wish the pool didn’t close at 8 PM so we could watch the sunset from up there. Otherwise everything was awesome. We look forward to staying there again.

This property was a great place to stay to start our trip. We walked right out the front door up lycabettus hill and ate and watched the sunset! The breakfast here was the best we had during our trip as they had fresh honeycomb and plenty of options.

Great location, great pool, good food, helpful staff. I’ve returned multiple times.
