The walls are paper thin you can hear your next door neighbors conversation clearly. My first night no sleep a party was going on in the room. When the was party was over the baby cried all night and morning. Second night the neighbor on each side had checked out it was peaceful. The last night was a nightmare two wedding parties loud noise people running up and down the hall from room to room slamming doors ALL NIGHT!
If you are planning on using the ironing board please use a towel on it or request a new one. The white padding under the blue cover on the board stained my shirt with the white pattern padding underneath.
If you don’t mind the noise paper thin walls I guess this is a great place for you.

Awesome location, right on the beach . The room looked newly renovated but wish it was bigger . No cabinet in the room made it hard to store the big suitcases .
We had breakfast included, and it was pretty good. So overall it was fine stay experience.

I had an amazing experience here! All of the staff were nice and welcoming. There was some areas that were closed off, but I enjoyed the ones that were open and the beach. The beach was very pretty and I enjoyed waking up to the sound of the ocean every day. I will definitely come back!

This Resort is actually very nice. The view from our hotel was beautiful. Of you of the Gulf of Mexico the ocean the pier the Island Bar it was great. We asked for room service twice and they were pretty quick within about 20 minutes. One of the nights I did ask for room service and the chicken wings were amazing but I was very disappointed with burnt upside down cake. The last time I checked a pineapple upside down cake is yellow has pineapple and maybe Marciano cherries. This was two burnt crispy pieces of cake topped with pineapple and caramel sauce that was not going to make it any softer. I made a comment to the front desk and all they said was sorry to hear that. I know that a lot of people say things so they can get a discount but I was being truthful because I believed everything else tasted great. Overall this day was nice and I like the kitty on the property

We booked because my son had a baseball tournament. The first night went well. The second night was a nightmare. Had to park in the parking garage and walk across the dam parking lot twice. Super inconvenient. The same night we had music overtaken our room until 10:30. Marine ball!! My son has anxiety and we took him to the hospital. We let the front desk aware of this situation earlier in the night. By far the worst customer experience in our lives.

Was disappointed that I wasn’t given the room I chose when I made the reservation.

FALSE ADVERTISING It was horrible, supposedly remodeled in 2020, the bed creaked all night with any movement (like a old rusty 1950s mattress) tv alarm with off at 6 am, nightstand alarm went off at 6:30 am, so much for a good nights sleep,
The main pool that appears in all the photos, closed for construction, the buffet I paid additional for closed as well. I left early and explained why nicely, but the supervisor showed no emotion, just offered the excuse that it’s off season, no apologies
This is below post COVID service

The service from workers was excellent. Everyone we saw was kind and curtious. We were bummed that the pools were going through some maintenance so they were generally not available....the heated one was out beginning of the week and the main one was out later in the week. Luckily the beach was in great shape and the water wasnt too cold there. Wish the hotel had mad us aware of the pool outages ahead of time...it might have affected our decision to stay there that week. Overall a very nice place. If we go again ill call ahead to ensure all facilites are working....

Pools were locked (each of 3) and under repairs, meaning walking between the entrance and the building with your room was not clear, and convoluted.

It was a great stay except the coffee machine in the room looked dirty and it should have been mentioned that one of the pools would be closed for maintenance and being charged for a chair at the pool is ridiculous the elevators were a little sketchy but overall it was a nice place to stay

My wife and I were here for 5 days in a standard king room, here were our pros and cons:
Pros:
clean
great buffet
nice beach
comfortable bed
Cons:
Small room
your curtains always need to be closed because you're on display
Spotty WiFi
noise easily enters the room from the outside
Overall its a fine place to stay and a good value but its not going to blow anyone away with the amenities.

We loved this resort. It is smaller which made it so easy to get around and didn’t have to walk 5miles to do anything. They had a good variety of food and drinks including a Mexican food truck!! Also had a lot of activities throughout the day/evening. Staff were all very friendly. My only complaint is the heated pool was under construction which I wasn’t aware of when I booked it and the main pools water was so cold you couldn’t swim (even kids would stick one foot in and say nope)

Employees were outstanding. Helpful, gracious and friendly.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The staff were all very nice and accomodating. Weather was beautiful and beach and boardwalk was excellent. Dolphins swimming at the pier every morning.

It was a last minute trip for me and my husband. We had never been to Fort Walton Beach and were so happy we found this resort.

Great Place to be.
Booked the ocean view. Nice view, but you can't really enjoy the balcony due to the a/c venting HOT air that takes up 1/3rd of an already small balcony and making it just miserably HOT and annoyingly LOUD!
Other than it was great.
The room is smallish and they could use a bit more space to hang clothes... literally 2 wall pegs and no closet.
Space was clean and the staff are just terrific!

The place was beautiful, needs a little TLC on the back greens. The pool was very cold would have loved to use the swim up bar but no way with those water temperatures. The heated pool was nice but again. . . Wanted the adult time and to enjoy the grotto. Beach access & location was 10 out of 10!

Great location, some items are a little dated, but clean, great staff

Amazing property you have everything no reason to leave the boardwalk is right next door walking distance
The room was soo clean dispite it being a sold out weekend our room was awesome the patio was connected to the pool area
Loved the grotto bar and dive bar by the beach

Everything was great. But the walls were very thin. You could hear everything. Did not like that the neighbors turned up the music so loud so they could have sex, in which was very noisy. We had to leave the room at one point. It was grossing my daughter out. They did this several times. I understand a lot of people may stay for their honeymoon. It would be nice if they showed some respect for young ears or people in general.

It was a beautiful place. Everything was great but my room. I booked a suite with an ocean view. My room was on the bottom floor. No ocean view. I had a view of tables and sand dunes on the bottom floor. I was told they only have 5 suites and they were booked. I had a great time anyways but if u want ocean view i would call and make sure you're not on the bottom because its the same price.

I feel like we got catfished…none of the pictures show the area we stayed in….we thought we were getting a balcony and nice view and that was not the case. There is no elevators so don’t pack a lot. We showed up and was slapped in the face with a $500 fee for parking and resort fees that we were not expecting. Our room still had garbage from the previous person who stayed. The walls are very thin so you can hear EVERYTHING. Every person I spoke to was extremely rude and I contacted customer services and they basically said oh well go to the front desk if I wanted. Me and my husband was very disappointed.

It was a good stay! I probably would stay again, however I prefer more space in the room. You could tell it was an upgraded old hotel, but it was not bad. My only complaint is there were no instructions given at check in. We had to call the desk to find out basic information like when the pool closed and what the hours of breakfast would be. I bought the breakfast vouchers for 3 days worth and only used once. Breakfast was not worth the extra money.

Clean and all amenities were close and convenient

This place is like being in a little tropical Oasis. The grounds were beautiful!! We loved the waterfall with the grotto bar! The beach area was also very nice. The rooms were spotless and beds were super comfy! We will definitely be coming back!!

If you really like the beach the Islands is a great place to stay. The facilities and pool areas could use some updating.

I was mislead by both Expedia as well as the hotel the cost upon arriving was not as quoted cost addition $$$ a day for parking and amenities fee. Plus after paying over $$$$$$ for 2 nights I asked for a checkout at noon instead of 11 am cost was $$$ more per hour! Not going back in my next trip ther in a few weeks and will not use Expedia. Lastly we were put on a smoking floor and my wife has lung issues. Beware!

The facilities are very old and well, it is the first time we get into the shower to bathe with sandals.

Great place for the kids

It was my fordt resort experience. I did not get one wink of sleep because the walls to the rooms are so thin. People were drinking at the pool all night. They were loud and drunk. The passageways to the rooms smelled of vomit ( maybe from the party the night before). The bars were closed most of the time. Parking was horrible. Anyone was parking there. I had to pay $200 for parking. I will stay at a regular hotel instead of paying outrageous resort prices.

I was pleasantly surprised with the room, it was very clean and the fridge and microwave came in handy. Comfy bed, good pillows, exceptional air conditioner. The weather was terrible but we enjoyed our stay anyway

It was hard to get a parking spot on weekend. Had to park on opposite side of property in parking garage.

The staff at the property is very friendly, especially at the Coastal Kitchen. Laura was our favorite bartender. The prices are a bit high, but the food and drinks are good. The rooms are very clean. Biggest room downfall is the water pressure in the shower. Other than that, no complaints. We had a beautiful view of the gulf. Lots of activities around the resort as well. We will be back.

Close to the beach and bar.

Terribly kept up, dirty and out dated. Lots of simple amenities other hotels have they do not. For instance tv channels are very limited, zero internet streaming services/ movie options. They need to have a complete remodel before I’d possibly recommend it.
