Check in was delayed by 1hr 20 mins room wasn't ready. Couldnt eat in the restaurant as there was a function and bar food stopped serving at 6:30. No plates or mugs at breakfast

There is ample parking on site and guests need to check in their vehicle reg at reception or you will be fined. Check in was very quick and the lady on reception was very helpful. The reception area / foyer looks upmarket. The rooms are dated and basic but were spacious and clean with everything you needed. Both rooms had balconies however we were umable to use them as they were undergoing repairs. The bathrooms have shower gel, hand wash and body wash all provided. The water is extremely hot (there are warning signs) and of a could water pressure. We didn't use the spa facilities but they looked good. We were given the option to add extras/upgrades at a discounted price prior to arrival however we decided against it. We changed our mind about breakfast so unfortunately didn't benefit from the £10 offer so paid £14.95 on the day. The staff in the restaurant were again incredibly polite and efficient but the food and drink was poor. The juices were all very watery and not drinkable. The hot food selection was cheap (somewhat understandable with it being an unlimited buffet) and over cooked. I also found a hair in one of my eggs. The HP sauces were all on their last dregs and needed throwing away. The waiting staff were attentive good at replacing food which was nearly empty and removing used plates etc once finished. The breakfast really let the stay down and if we hadn't had it, I would have given it 5*

Well after a very restful night and feeling fresh i was very disappointed in breakfast the orange juice and apple juice was watered down i presume for it to go a longer way having said that it tasted disgusting. On my next stay i will not be having breakfast

Our stay was not at all what we was expecting, the food was inedible the first night so we had to travel out for breakfast lunch and dinner every day after, our bed was so uncomfortable due to feeling every spring and my partners back completely seized up and she was in agony which we reported. We also had a half drunk bottle of water in our room when we first arrived and there was the same rubbish in the lift for four days! Only one lift out of three was working during our entire stay. On the Sunday the only bar in the hotel was closed all day so couldn’t get any drinks. The remote control in our room was filthy dirty and sticky and the ashtrays in front entrance were overflowing for our entire stay. This was supposed to be a romantic weekend away and ended up being a nightmare we could not wait to get out of

We arrived quite late but were greeted by the lovely man on the desk who was extremely helpful and happy (considering it was late at night). The room was a family room with a king bed and two singles, handy as my sons are 'young adults'. No windows in the room but this wasn't a problem as we had Velux windows (and it was late at night), but in the morning plenty of light when the blinds were opened. The room was adequate for what we wanted including tea and coffee facilities and also bottled water, which was appreciated, along with the biscuits. We slept very well and the bed were extremely comfortable, so much so that we had a lie in the next morning so didn't really see much of the facilities the hotel had to offer.

Really pleasant staff, check in/out very smooth. Pool area lovely. Bed very comfy. Carpet is a bit dated in places (lifts & bedroom). Few maintenance problems in bathroom, but advised at check out.

Having stayed here many times over the years, I've seen some changes. The bedrooms are generally still in good condition, although the TVs are quite dated. The general upkeep of the hotel is good. The gym equipment is pretty modern, although frustratingly the running machines appear to only allow 30 minutes at a time. The dining area is one area that really is looking shabby, particularly the seat coverings. They look like builders have been allowed to sit on them with their work clothes on. It's bad enough at breakfast time but it would certainly put me off dining there. Generally, the breakfast is good. However, the fruit juice is pathetic as it appears to be powder based and very very waters down. A quick look around the tables highlighted the issue as there were many left over glasses of the stuff. It's not the first time I've seen this here and perhaps says something about how the staff care about customers.

the wardrobes seems to be outdated and doesn't match the room interiors. I would suggest either new sets or built in, to adapt to current needs. Also, instructions on how to operate the R/C for the air conditioner.

Could do with makeover and windows down the side of reception full of cobwebs , saturday afternoon 4 o clock bar shut but been in alot of hotels but never before have i seen a bar shut at 4 especially when you want to chill on back patio so poor

The property value for money is one of the best i've stayed in All of the staff have been really welcoming and friendly, in particular jose and satnam in the restaurant were great I liked the spa facilties and found them pleasant and relaxing Room is quite simple but ticks all the right boxes The hotel has numerous bars as well as the restaurant so there's no lacking there Really pleasant stay

Tired hotel in desperate need of repair and updating. Balcony door was broken, air-con remote did not work and generally poor finishing in the rooms. The hotel was clean and food was good.

on arrival wasn't aware of the closure of the spa facilities being closed. The receptionist was very accommodating and compensated us. Our room was lovely the hotel was very comfortable. we would like to return when everything is working and experience a party night.

No swimming pool - out of order. Somebody left cleaning cloth in room. No free drinks despite leaving towels on hook as requested. Could have told us at the check in. Water to shower took an age to heat up!

We can’t sleep it was dirty bite out skin we keep awake we complain there change mattress next day it much better I really shocked there can put us sleep mattress was dirty lice bite skin we hurt and wake up through the night waste our day we complain full peolpe in swimming and spar we didn’t go because full Asian peolpe we feel dirty in swimming sorry I say that we both deaf

Lovely 2 night stay at the hotel while visiting friends. Staff were all very helpful and friendly, the beds were very comfortable. The only negative is that the hotel could do with updating!

The rooms are a little tired looking. Breakfast was simple but adequate. Staff were helpful. Due to staff shortage the room was not serviced one day and we were not told in advance. The pool and jacuzzi were adequate - not really for swimming, more for playing. The parking was good.

State of repair of the back of yhe hotel including balconies should be declared upfront. Sports bar closed. Pool area needs refurb as well. However, that said price reflects this as 4* but slightly past its best.

Unclean and very dirty , rooms stink of cigarettes, wet towels on the air conditioning units , Pool / spa was dirty, changing rooms for the males had blood mixed in with the water on the floor , pool area it’s self was very un safe and un clean , the spa it self was dirty cold water, Rooms were very outdated as well as the outside of the hotel and needs a massive re make over. Manger had given drinks voucher by the time we moved rooms went to the spa and told the issues they were only just sorting the area out , We were there for 2 hours if that , we checked out the only good thing was a a full refund that was given back They need to close the hotel and update it if they want guess to stay , Don’t be fooled by the pictures because I was and was very disappointed

Very pleasant stay here. Family room was really big, loads of room. It was an hot day, the air con cooled the room nicely. Breakfast was really nice, the beds were nice and comfy, car park had plenty of spaces. Staff were friendly, everywhere was clean, location was great for us. Negatives if being picky, it looks a bit dated with the decor rocking that 1970s wood style vibe and the shower was pretty low pressure. But they are really very minor points. All the things that actually matter the hotel did really well. Very happy with our stay!

Loved the entire pool area/hot tub. The gym was well equipped and although the separate weight room is small, it was well equipped as well. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Happy about free parking for guests and rooms were spacious and very clean. Walking distance to supermarket, shops and some restaurants. Hotel breakfast buffet was well worth 10 pounds.

Excellent service at check in from Sakira. Dealt with extension of stay quickly and efficiently. Friendly and courteous. We were in complimentary upgrade to a suite for first two nights. Only dissapointment on stay was some room service sandwiches, which were very basic at best, and not on bloomer malted bread, but just standard thin slice brown, with no garnish or good presentation. Hotel is a little tired, but staff quality make up for it. Steam room not operational during our stay, and not working since 3 dsys prior to visit.

Hi, We had a great stay. However the signs in the carpark made it very clear that the parking had to be paid for before entering the hotel. We did this. When we got to reception however we were told the car park was free for guests staying at the hotel. Can your signs please be altered to say this as we paid £10 parking unnecessarily.

Our room was situated atbthe back of the hotel near a main road, but worst of all a generator. This was really noisy till late at night and started up again at six o'clock in the morning. Very disturbed sleep. Also, there was a lack of staff and our room wasn't made up.

I've started in the hotel many times over the years. As usual the staff are friendly but the being let down by a lack of investment. Unfortunately, since it was taken over by best Western the condition of the hotel has deteriorated. For example the tables in the dining area have all lost their polish finish and the chairs are in dire need of recovering and look extremely grotty. They are also cutting corners with the breakfast where the 'fresh' orange juice isn't. Its powdered mix or very watered down dilute.
