We had a room with a stunning view of the Liver Buildings and waterfront. Zero noise from outside, well insulated windows. The bed was super comfy and the room was clean. The bathroom was a little tired looking but again, clean. The team on reception were polite and super professional as were the bar staff ( do try the bar, stunning views )

The whole place is really quite dirty, the air fresheners they’ve put in the hotel lobby are not strong enough and the room actually stunk of a musty bleachy smell throughout our stay. We paid a little extra to upgrade to a room with a river view, but the windows were so dirty you couldn’t see anything! Only Grace is we stayed on a Sunday at very reduced rates, would not have been happy at all paying a premium rate for that room in that hotel.

Checked in and was sent to a room that was already occupied. Back down to reception and had to wait until they found another room. Very little apology for this, felt like I was being questioned as to why there was someone else in that room. Corridor to new room smelt of sewage and carpets so dirty and stained. Room very worn with scratches on the wall, stained ironing board and missing wall light. Bath very slow to drain so stood in a deep puddle of water when showering. Bed appeared clean and comfortable. Up most of the night due to the noise. Banging and loud noises. At one point the bed shook with a very loud noise. Definitely would not return again.

One bath towel and a hand towel between two people.
Requested breakfast in the room. Left card on door handle. No breakfast and too late for breakfast in the restaurant.
Evening before no restaurant open for residents just a small bar up stairs and burgers and chips on offer. Not very good for vegetarians. This was my 80th birthday 6th Dec.
Very upset and disappointed especially for my children who had come down from the Orkney Island, Scotland for the Birthday celebration.

Absolutely fabulous stay. Visited with mobility issues, lift in foyer wasn’t working so on duty staff helped me up the stairs.
Once in allocated room, it was very small & dark & could not access the shower in the bath.
TV in the room did not work so rang reception who came to look, couldn’t fix it then mentioned the room was too dark & could not access the shower. Staff member went away then came back 20 mins later stating she had secured us a better room, which had a walk in shower, more space & she had even put an extra standard lamp in it for better light. This was very much appreciated as I have mobility & sight issues which made it difficult to see and move around the original room.
When going for breakfast all staff were very friendly & attentive & always wanting to help & assist me .

Upon check in I was greeted by Zoe who offered a very warm welcome to the hotel. She was very caring and considerate. I was offered late check out also by becoming a member of Accor which was excellent as I had some online meetings in the morning and midday. The bed was very very comfy. The room was spotless. The pillows were also of good quality alongside the bedding itself. The room service menu however was quite limited, as you'd expect for an overnight hotel menu, however it seemed quite expensive for the items offered. A desk in the room would have been nice, I ended up having to use the bedside table for my online meetings, but it worked out well. The bathroom was small however it still had a bath. The only main issues with the room I had was some copper like staining in the bathroom at the bottom of the door and the wardrobe was very old and marked. Overall, I would 100% stay again and recommend the hotel to others coming to Liverpool. The staff were amazing, the room rate was also very fair for a really nice room. Will look forward to coming back in the future.

Has a very good location, very close to the city center and Mersey Docks. Silent and peacefull, great bulding; however needs inner renewal for furnitures.

Check in was great no issues staff very friendly, room was decent no issues, but had a gripe with the breakfast. Food was slow coming out for cooked breakfast. Bacon over cooked, sausages very cheap and tasteless, no option of egg besides scrambled, hash browns over cooked, no mushrooms or black pudding? I stayed at mercure Manchester Piccadilly recently and the breakfast there was far better. Never had to wait for food to come out as it was always full. Need to do better with breakfast but the rest of hotel was great thanks

Great location.
Marked down as windows can't be opened, room too warm at night, but air conditioning too noisy to sleep through. It did affect our sleep quality.

Professional, friendly welcome. Free upgraded room. Lovely spacious room and the air conditioning was most welcome on an unseasonly hot September day.
The bed was very comfortable and the room and bathroom were spotless.
They offer free luggage storage for their guests which is a bonus if you want to explore before you check in or after you check out.

The cleanliness and facilities in the room were ok, but we were in a room connected to the neighbouring room by a locked door. We were woken up by the neighbouring room having sex, the door letting in most of the noise. Our room was on the rear of the building, so the view was of office buildings rather than the Mersey.

Great location. Hotel is a bit tired and the forms we good but small and dated.

Shower had hairs on the bath and not clean, the amount of dust in in the fan in the bathroom was horrendous…. Also could feel every spring in the mattress must’ve been extremely old Mattress.

Windows in the room don’t open so room was too warm and stuffy. It had an air conditioning unit but no fresh air. Didnt sleep well
Breakfast very disappointing. Coffee machines didn’t taste very nice and Buffet was not on, it was cooked to order. But didn’t get asked how wanted eggs cooked. Just felt they were doing whatever was easiest for the kitchen

Absolutely fantastic stay again at this liverpool hotel. I want to mention Kikc at reception, if i have the spelling correct. If not. She was the young lady that welcomed me and made sure i got a very comfortable room. Which is why i will be happy to book this hotel again on hotels.com

Breakfast was not what I expected. Had to keep on asking for eggs and food because they ran out and took about 20 minutes to replace. They didn’t carter for the numbers.

Overpriced, dated and not the best. Breakfast was below average. Staff were nice and friendly.

Hotel was very clean but a little tired. Curtains were worn a bit and had some holes in. Bath had a cigarette burn. Toilet was squeezed in behind a door. Toilet paper cheap and thin. Mattress was to hard. Other than that staff very helpful. I felt extremely looked after at breakfast with my gluten free diet.

We had a great stay, receptionist was really helpful in helping us with parking. Comfy bed, lovely and clean bathroom, would definitely stay again when in Liverpool.

When I tried to check in they said the room I'd booked (paid for and confirmed in advance) wasn't available as they'd 'overbooked'.
Rather than a twin room, we ended up with a room with a sofa bed. The sofa bed wasn't made up - they promised to get it made up. They didn't!

Room was clean, just missing a bath towel considering there were 2 of us staying

We stayed here for a Taylor Swift show. The staff was unprofessional and appeared to care very little about the guests. We had 3 in our room - two adults and a child. Instead of two double beds or a king and a roll away, they used the pull out sofa bed which was insanely uncomfortable. I would absolutely never consider this an acceptable sleep surface. Metal frame poked through, incredibly bad. We folded it up and set up a bed on the actual sofa for her, but it wasn’t great. The king bed was hard as a rock. Drapes were stained and dirty. The bathroom was dated and the bath tub was so high, my 9-year-old child couldn’t safely get out of it on her own. The whole experience was very meh. The rate was absurd due to the concert too. I would not recommend you stay here. There are many better options in the area.
