Friendly and helpful staff. Handy location for town. Reception and bar etc all nice but room was worn and tired with dodgy electrical sockets. Didn’t feel like a £140 per night hotel.

A few annoyances with the room… broken plug socket, broken toilet seat, AC unit with lights flashing all night. Clean and quiet though.
Didn’t like having a dart board next to our table in the dining area; having darts being thrown next to our heads was annoying. The food was pretty poor… barely cooked chips, greasy fish and low quality pizza. Decided not to risk breakfast.

There was blood on my curtains and both my sheets and my friend’s had stains. The night bar staff were slow and didn’t know what they were doing.

Good stay, friendly staff, efficient check in and out. Good choice of food, although standard taste but acceptable.
Quiet hotel to aid good nights sleep

The room was tired and not cleaned properly and the toilet was dirty and had a broken seat. The breakfast buffet was not good with cold hash browns and eggs and the cheese selection was hard and curled up. Disappointed.

The hotel is very dated, and the room I was in end of the building was quite noise close to the road. The double glazed windows were not very effective, plus the nose coming from the air conditioning was also disturbing.

The sofa bed was not made up as requested and when I took it out the protector was stained as was the quilt itself( without cover on)

Rooms a bit run down. Weedy shower, broken bath plug etc.
Badly understaffed. Breakfast would have been okay if they had more than a few staff working. Food constantly running out. Tables not set. Not the staff’s fault. Just bad management.

This is good location near town with extremely friendly and helpful staff. The food is great and the parking is good. However, the car park needs a big tidy-up as it detracts from an otherwise great package. Also, the slow EV charger needs repairing rather than taping over. Sorting a few details here would make a big difference here.

Smell of Marijuana in the elevator when we arrived.
Beds firm but had a smell of stale smoke in the non smoker room

We stay here every month as it’s close to my elderly mother and every stay after our drive from Plymouth has been lovely. We often check in late and covered in grass after a long day of gardening all day at moms and have been warmly welcomed into a lovely room with just what we needed; a lovely clean bed, fluffy towels, tea and coffee making facilities. Breakfast is a total delight of all the things I tell myself not to eat but simply can’t resist, so thank you Emmanuelle and your team once again for a perfect stay. See you very soon.

I so happy

A very comfortable and enjoyable stay. The hotel staff as well as everyone else I talked to were very friendly and helpful. The rooms need a little bit of a refresh but were quiet, well equipped and very spacious. I slept well. The menu is basic but well presented and some of the portions were so large I couldn't finish them. Most food options in the city were fast food, burgers etc., not my thing. It's a town that was prosperous but now has many empty shops. Highlights for me were the art gallery and west park, which I recomend to you.

Bedsheets and linen was very unclean with soiled blood stains

The staff were very accommodating and the hotel was reasonably clean. Parking was ample and my room was a really decent size.
The hotel could do with renovating though: the carpet in my room was stained, the remote control for the tv didn’t work (the light was flashing so don’t think it was a battery issue), the people in the adjoining room could be heard very clearly as the walls were thin, the shower took a long time to drain, and the toilet is in a separate room from the sink.
Overall, my stay was fine for one night but not somewhere I would stay again.

Staff very helpful and welcoming, I picked this hotel because it was near to the wedding location we were attending and it had an EV charging point however there was very little parking and the EV charger was tucked away in a corner of the car park and was difficult to park next to due to tight space in the car park.

Very nice hotel a little dated in the bedroom where you have a seperate toilet from the bathroom our than that overall very nice and comfortable.

Bedroom had dirty carpets, dirty curtains with holes in and dirty walls. We had a 7 year old with us so the sofa bed had been made up. My granddaughter had to be moved from the sofa bed to my bed as she was so allergic to the dust. As soon as she changed beds she was fine. My daughter had to sleep on the sofa bed and was also very allergic to the dust, she had an awful nights sleep. The bedding was clean but the room was tired.

We arrived at 4am after long travels from Dublin. The property was dirty and unkept. The sheet was stained and torn. The toilet would not flush. The breakfast was unedible. We were supposed to stay for two nights but checked out after the first night.😞

We travel to Wolverhampton every month to see our elderly mother and having tried other hotels in the past, we would always stay at this Novotel for many reasons.
As you enter the hotel there is a lovely welcoming atmosphere and very friendly receptionists. To the left the bar and lounge area is very attractive and after a long day’s gardening is lovely to come back to. There is a good choice of food and drinks and also a pretty outside seating area. The buffet breakfast at the Novotel is one of the best we have experienced. Whilst my husband really enjoyed the cooked items on offer, I enjoyed the varied and very fresh fruits and yogurts on offer. The rooms tick all the boxes being very large for a standard double and very clean. Lovely sheets and towels and a very comfy nights sleep. I can’t recommend this hotel highly enough as it ticks all the boxes and we really look forward to our stays there.

Simple business trip - only real option in locality

The Hotel was clean, room had air conditioning and was comfortable. Breakfast was very good. The only area the Hotel lets itself down is in the Reception. At all times there was only 1 person on reception which caused delays checking in and out.
