Cute hotel. Great location a short walk to the beach, restaurants very close. Bathroom was very small in our room. Also there was no fridge or microwave in room. Parking was available for a fee, but was offsite at a garage in the Bank of America about a block from the hotel.
Overall a nice stay with friendly staff.

This place is cute and cozy. Bathrooms are in bad condition though.

Beautiful hotel, more like a boutique hotel with a Spanish theme, in the perfect location. The room was like a small apartment, full kitchen, beautiful living room with view over looking an inner courtyard. We will be going back!

Overall, our experience was okay but I would not stay here again. The location is great, however we did have a hard time with parking. When checking in, we asked where we were able to leave the car and they told us that the structure they use is fully booked and that we would have to resort to street parking and be wary of time-restricted zones. Thankfully, we were able to find a spot nearby but I could imagine that this would be an inconvenience to others. The room was nice and clean, but the towel that I used to shower that night had a lot of hairs stuck on it from someone who had previously used it that got stuck to my body. That’s just gross. Finally, the morning of checkout came and we decided to pack our stuff and move it to the car and go out for breakfast but then later return to freshen up. When we returned before checkout time, housekeeping had already started cleaning up our room even though we had not even checked out yet. How does this happen? When we went to the front desk to inform them, all we got was a “oh that’s so weird, I’m sorry!” Okay?? I’m sure others experiences were better than ours but I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone I know.

Nice quiet hotel at night. Staff helped get our luggage to the room upstairs which was appreciated since I was traveling with a mobility challenged friend. They also accommodated an hour later checkout due to our flight time today. I would come back to stay here again.

Absolutely loved it here! A unique setting; friendly staff; great restaurant; wonderful
character of the rooms… we will definitely come back!

This hotel was a great find in Coronado! The staff was helpful and friendly. The El Cordova Hotel is quaint and historic, and across yhe street from the Hotel Del Coronado and the most beautiful beach. Many good restaurants are a short walk nearby. We will be back!

The location is fantastic and the room was spacious and lovely…except for the window a/c unit which allowed a view into the room from the alley and the shower that wouldn’t turn in. Worst was staffs response when told about said shower and said ‘u have to pull on it really hard’. We did that and the dial was actually pulling out of the wall without turning on. Not sure what else we were supposed to do… i responded that if that was indeed the way to make it work they might warn guests…?… and receive a rather smirky stare. I wanted to LOVE this property but that pretty much killed it.

I traveled with two teen boys so I booked the two bedroom. The place was huge! It actually was a two bedroom (each room had its own bathroom), walk in closets, huge living room and large kitchen/dining area. We couldn’t believe it! Felt more like an apartment. Walkable to shops, restaurants, and Coronado beach. The downside is it’s really noisy outside around the property. Also, the Wifi was spotty so if you bring a computer, you can’t use it on the desk in the living room. Last, bathrooms were the old Spanish style, so if you prefer modern then you won’t like them. It was absolutely perfect for our needs, family friendly, etc. But not a romantic or peaceful getaway.

Wonderful hotel in Coronado. This place is so cute, we loved it. We had a spacious 1 bedroom suite with a kitchen. I could seriously live here. You are steps from shops, restaurants and a short walk to the beach and Hotel Del. Great for a romantic weekend or a family stay. So much character, something I would expect to find in the south of France, Italy or Spain.
If you have difficulty with stairs or have small children, book a ground floor. The stairs are steep and there are no elevators. Plenty of free parking if you are willing to park in the neighborhood and walk a little bit. If you expect to park at the hotel, you will be disappointed. The area is very safe so I felt fine parking a few blocks away on the street.

We felt like we were almost in Puerto Vallarta one of our favorite places. Being so close to the beach was wonderful. And being so close to shops and restaurants was great. We really liked our spacious rooms, too.

Right in the heart of Coronado Island! Super helpful staff. Went above and beyond to answer our questions.

Check-in and check-out was super quick and easy, and all staff was helpful and great to work with. Since our room was ready, they even let us check-in a couple of hours early! The room was clean and suited our needs really well. The location is great, as there is so much to do and see within walking distance. Definitely would recommend to family and friends.

What a wonderful hotel. We enjoyed the Coronado charm we felt staying here. Will definitely stay again.

The El Cordova is extremely convenient when staying near the Del. Staff was very friendly and helpful! Our room's air conditioner was very loud at night, but we were able to open the windows and turn on the fan. Unfortunately, there is a trash truck that runs daily for the restaurants nearby that run early in the morning. Other than the trash truck, El Cordova was a 10/10!

Expensive and very bad service at the front desk no room cleaning and terrible personnel. Very ugly rooms without a/c

The location is excellent. Curbside parking is almost impossible to find. Fortunately the facility has parking garage parking available down the street. The beds were comfortable and air conditioning worked great. Having a restaurant as part of the facility made evening dining a breeze. In fact, there are numerous dining choices just steps away.
The beach is also a straight shot about two blocks away. It was a short walk with our kids. We all enjoyed the pool in the evening.
It is an old facility but the staff has kept it clean and everything works. We had an issue with the television and service came right up.
I only wish they had a 3 bedroom unit as my oldest son gets tired of sleeping on sleeper sofas.

Great hotel in an excellent location close to the beach. We were in the suite and it was spacious and wonderful. The bad thing is parking is limited although there is free street parking if you can find it. Also, one of the bathroom tubs was in need of repair. I would stay here again.

Danny was a great supervisor at check in and left front desk to carry my bag up the flight of stairs to my room. Map provided for parking garage off site and very helpful.

We had the best time! Super spacious suite with two bedrooms and two bathrooms perfect for a family. Given the age of the property I was very impressed! Best part was the close walk to Coronado beach and the delicious Mexican restaurant below. Will definitely come back!

This was a beautiful property and our suite was amazing and huge. The area is very walkable and we where happy to have opted for reserved parking being so close to July 4th.
We would stay there again

In regards to location it's a perfect spot! Although we had a King room, it was very very small and looked out over the alleyway. We were only there 1 night so we made the best of it.

Loved the personal service, location, amenities, restaurants, and proximity to shopping.

The staff was very courteous and helpful. They assisted with parking information and even provided my family and I beach chairs to use while we went to the beach.

Both restaurants are very good

The hotel is near the beach (however closed due to fecal contamination from Mexico), restaurants and shopping. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It’s an old building but charming overall.

Great small hotel to stay in. My only issue was that I didnt realize the setup of the hotel. We were on the second floor with only stairs as a way to access the room. My fault for not asking. Daniel at the front desk was kind enough to take luggage up/down when requested. Fan and main light in the room didnt work and no light in the closet where we the coffee machine was. Otherwise it was a pleasant stay.
4.0
The room we got wasn't very quiet from 11am until like 9 am due to the restaurant that is right in the middle of the bedrooms. The room bedroom cracked so much, and The staff explained to us is an old historic building. Bathroom is somehow small, bed is comfortable and living room and kitchen area are spacious enough. Some staff were very nice and other were the opposite. Walkable hotel, you could pretty much anywhere from it.

Facility is a bit old, could have been better with a bit more care

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay here over Memorial Day weekend. The Spanish style rooms were really cool and neat. We did have trouble with some of the appliances in our room but the front desk was very helpful and compensated for our inconvenience. Great stay overall and will return.

Wonderful location for dining and transportation. Staff was very accommodating and polite.
Room was so quiet, met our needs.

Quaint but older hotel. Rooms are stair access only and surround the outdoor restaurant with a view of the tin roof and is noisy until the restaurant closes. The only parking is @ $40/day cost 2 blocks away. Location is great, close to beach, restaurants & shopping.

This hotel has a cute family feel. Our hotel room was not completely clean when we arrived. Beer cans, empty half and half cups, and bathroom tissue from previous guests was found in bedroom and small balcony. We ultimately chose El Cordova because it said it had a hot tub. The hot tub was not hot for our 3 day stay. We requested the heater be turned on/fixed. The staff was very responsive, but they never did get the hot tub hot. The pool was warm, but still pretty chilly swim without hot tub access. We loved the location of this hotel and the staff and responsiveness was excellent.
