The first night was not pleasant at all. The room was definitely not what we saw when I booked the hotel. Room was very old, carpet was dirty, and boogers were in the walls. I called the receptionist and the receptionist was really nice, I don’t remember his name, he helped us change room, the other room was better. But still carpets were very very dirty. AC was good. Parking was easy- there’s a garage in front- pay 20 per night or 65 per 5 nights. Area around the hotels was not the best, we had to use the car or uber to get to the old town. First night we walked to the old town, when we were coming back we saw a guy with a gun walking around, we felt unsafe, area full of homeless and people fighting in the streets- area was not good. The receptionist was nice but I would not stay here again. We have used this chain of hotels before and was never disappointed like in this one.

It was the most unpleasant experience I had in a hotel. Personally unprofessional, he treated every request I had with superficiality and malice. The staff is not trained either to solve the reservations correctly or to behave kindly with the customers. The staff is so lazy and untrained that they expect the clients to contact the agencies and solve their reservation codes, other than those on the voucher, codes that normally belong to the internal work of the hotel staff.
The hotel is not 4 stars. The doors, the batteries in the bathroom are old, the elevator got stuck several times with people inside, they don't have parking, not even nearby, the breakfast is brief, they don't provide room service and there is nothing in the fridge, not even a bottle water.
I do not recommend, I will never return here and in general to hotels belonging to Novotel, because I also had problems in Barcelona.

The staff is unprofessional, unkind, raised logistics claims that they were too lazy to resolve, although they were actually their duties, rude attitude, poor quality room service and brackfast, bad smell in the bathroom, old batteries and used in the bathroom, the elevator gets stuck with tourists inside, insufficient cards for the room and they asked us to pay for the second card, then they changed their minds and gave it to us for free.

The hotel is far from beach, resturants and not the best when it comes to room service. The layout of the room was bizarre.

Would recommend the hotel. Polite and helpful staff. Concierge service for our baggage when we arrived early and needed somewhere to store them before our evening flight. Good views from the rooftop pool. One star off as the refreshment stand at the pool wasn’t open. Ten mins walk to the old town or 2 stops on the tram which is only 100m away.

Great employees, good location…terrible room comfort. It was over 30 degrees Celsius and very very humid in the room. All of our clothes felt wet, we could not clean and dry anything in the room.
We were told that this is normal for Nice.

Really dated & needs a reno badly! Dirty carpets & room smelled like sewage.

Nice hotel not really in Vieux Port of Nice but still a good location. Some staff were excellent and some were awful so some inconsistency there. Room was very tight for four and despite European hotels often being like that, I expected a bit more space since I booked a superior room. Overall a good stay.

Staff were mostly nice and helpful! Specially the front desk staff were quite friendly. The pool is not really that usable as its not warm water and during our stay the water was cold and it’s like a small house pool!
The room closet smelled like vinegar for some reason and most of my clothes were smelly after few days in the closet. The room was spacious and comfortable apart from the vinegar smell everything else was good. Btw, they won’t provide wine glasses or cutlery or dishes for the room just two coffee mugs and two paper cup.

No parking on premises room wasn’t clean. Buffet for breakfast is good

Hotel itself is nice, not in the best area though. Surrounded by busy roads. Facilities ok. Staff excellent, super professional and friendly.

No proper maintainance of rooftop swimming pool- dirty and small to fit 4 people. Congested room with separate toilet without a wash basin. Basic breakfast not much option. No proper warm water in the shower and the pressure in the shower was near to null. Not at all a 4 star experience - not value for money. The only good thing abt the hotel was its location and the front staff.

I enjoyed staying here. Cleaners daily, staff friendly . Breakfast kind of basic just a pot of scrambled eggs and bacon. No other hot food. Would have been nice to have a poached egg. Apart from that I cannot complain. I would stay again for sure.

We stayed here for the start of our honeymoon. When we checked into our room it was ok. Not updated - very basic. AC worked, hot water worked. The only soap they provide in the shower is body gel and shampoo. Bring your own bar of soap and conditioner. I actually asked them for a bar of soap and they gave it to me. You do need to know France and French a bit to stay here. There is a bit of a language barrier. Reception was as helpful as they could be. They answered our questions to the best of their ability which was sometimes not good enough. For example we asked them if there were any restricted zones for driving like something you would need a pass on your car for. We rented a car so we needed to know this. They said no restrictions all good but then while we were driving Waze said you are entering a restricted zone which you can be fined for if you do not have a pass. We were angry that the reception staff and car rental service we used did not inform us about this. Not enough chairs or lounge chairs on the rooftop where the pool is. You kinda have to fight for a spot. There is a cafe/restaurant downstairs which is very good and they have a cute outdoor area where you can sit. You can park across the street in the parking garage in a designated spot for Novotel guests. But it costs 25 euro a day. This hotel location is amazing for going to the Old Town of Nice. Very central location where you can easily drive to anything. I would stay here again.

Really lovely stay, about 20-25 min to the sea

Great location very easy access to the town centre. Tram line next to the hotel, however, we walk 30 minutes to the beach front. Staff is very friendly, professional and helpful.

Amazing stay, the hotel is really nicely located. The staff is very friendly and frankly it is a good looking, new hotel. Very comfy, new to the tram and nice selection of food

It is a good hotel, it has a good location, regardless of the amusement park that is right next to the hotel, which It reduces the hotel score. We stayed at the hotel for seven nights. The breakfast is relatively good, but there is no variety and it is the same every day. Even there is no change in cooking eggs and it is served in the same way every day, so it is a bit boring and repetitive for seven days in a row.. The hotel staff are very polite and friendly. Our room on the fourth floor was a bit old and not renovated and it smelled a bit damp. While our friends had the same renovated and more modern room with a small price difference on the sixth floor, and this is while I could not find the difference in the photos of the rooms or the description on the website when booking, so I booked the cheaper room. I did that was wrong. It would be better to explain the difference between the rooms ( classic and superior) on the website so that the customer does not make my mistake.

Great hotel, very friendly staff, nice beds. Location is good, the local area is being developed to have a tree lined walkway to the old town, when this is finished the location will be perfect. Location is close to tram lines into the old town.
Good breakfast, well worth the money.

Staff at Novotel was very good and very helpful. Room assigned to us at a cost of 200 dollars per night, had leak from bathroom ceiling and floor was all wet. Reception desk did assign a different room and we had to move our stuff. Bathroom too small. Not happy. Novotel in Warsaw was 10x better and less expensive.

Great hotel close to the tram, giving great access to the Old Town, sea front etc. Lovely roof top pool (not heated) but perfect for a cooling dip on hot days.

The reception and dining area were very modern, but the rooms needed refurbished there was no mirror above the dressing table area, and the separate WC was in our opion not very hygienic, the toilet was stained. Carpet was covered in marks and not vacuumed during our 2 day stay.

Nice hotel, clean rooms , very nice and helpful staff and a short walk to transportation! We enjoyed our stay !

On arrival we were told to park in a neighbouring paid car park and not offered the private car parking space on a different floor because apparently it was too expensive. I was surprised not to be offered the extra at all. The room and bathroom facilities were a little out of date and could do with an update.

Hotel was absolutely amazing. I would definitely stay again. Staff were great helpful and make sure to get the free massages on Thursday.

The spare bed mattress is too hard to sleep, other than that is good.

The hotel is amazing and is fantastic value for money. My partner and two children stayed there for three nights. We love the rooftop pool. Most staff were really friendly. Our checking out was sadly marred by the receptionist wearing glasses ( didn’t get her name). She was very rude. Informed us a taxi so the airport would take 30 minutes snd cost 60 Euros - our Uber cost 24 Euros and took 10 minutes. A previous male receptionist when we enquired about using the pool once we’d checked out as our flight wasn’t until the afternoon said we could use the pool. She said we weren’t allowed up to the pool which we understood but her manner was very rude and unfriendly. Everything else about our stay was lovely.

Highly recommended hotel for family stay!
Clean and tidy, really soft bed.
Water machine with free premium drinking water/sparkling water on every floor.
Our second visit and we will return one day.

The staff was great and really accomodating. They were so helpful with everything we needed help with. Pool was a bit smaller than it seems on the pictures, but clean and a nice way to cool off when needed. The room was cleaned but there were some dubious stains on the carpet and it seemed a little worn. We were three in the room but we only got clean towels for two when they cleaned it. I am sure they would have fixed it if we mentioned it, but as we were leaving the next day we just made the best of it.
There is a tram station right on the outside of the hotel and a bus stop not far away. We did not use these as it was a nice 20 min walk to the old town (could probably have made it faster if it wasn't so hot), and another 10 min to the Promenade des Anglaise. Breakfast was average except for the freshly pressed orange juice, which was a little piece of heaven. This hotel is a bit cheaper than those closer to the old town and the promenade, and you get what you pay for. I would recommend this hotel if you are happy with average rooms. We were, and we had a great time here.

Old fashioned decoration in the room. Water pressure of shower was too weak.

We loved our stay here! It was away from the hustle and bustle of city center but very close to transit and walkable to shopping and dining. Breakfast was incredible buffet with many fresh options. Water and sparkling water dispenser on each floor was fantastic.

Great hotel, accommodating staff, clean modern room, close proximity to tram with easy access to the train station. Lots of men loitering outside at night smoking pot. The tram station was closed due to construction.

Lovely hotel, perfect location and 10-15 mins walk to Old town or can get the tram which is very close. Really clean, friendly staff. My kids loved the breakfast

Hotel was clean, staff friendly, breakfast very good, pool was meant to be heated but was not and needed cleaning. Around the hotel was noisy and a lot of building work being done. We did have a good time though.
