The staff were very helpful and kind, welcoming, and prompt. That's the good part. But... Our stay had quite a few issues. Our keycards kept needing to be reset; once when we were in towels after using the jacuzzi outside, and two other times, for a three night stay. And we were the furthest away possible from the office, the far building on the opposite side. The room had terrible lighting and the bathroom fan sounded like it was about to fall out of the ceiling. The refrigerator only worked as a freezer; if you turned the cooling down it just defrosted the small "freezer" section and dripped everywhere. So all of our drinks were frozen. The bed was comfortable, but the comforter was short, we could only pull it up to our mid-torso. The room desperately needed a deep clean. There was what looked like blood on one wall, and smudges of dirt and guck on others, and accumulated dust and dirt on all the baseboards in the bathroom. Lastly, the television was possessed. It only worked on 3 channels, and would randomly pause, glitch, or just shut off. The same happened when we logged into our Netflix; it would pick a spot and pause for 30 seconds, then fast forward to catch back up. All together it made relaxing very difficult, which was needed on a bereavement trip. The free breakfast was fine, although not many options if you have dietary restrictions or allergies.

A/C very noisy and had to turn off to sleep. Bed mattress not comfortable. Pool lounge chairs torn/ripped and in need of replacement. Nice breakfast and reception area and rooms were clean.

The property is depleted. The tv didn’t work, the plumbing doesn’t work properly and the toilet struggled to flush and the shower didn’t drain well.

Stayed there 15-20 times over last 10 years. Going downhill Room looked alright, but door wouldn’t close easily, bed was awful with big valley in the middle. Bathtub drain cap just sitting loose. Air conditioning unit very loud. Breakfast, with limited menu, used to set Clarion apart from others. A deal maker when choosing lodging. Post covid change to buffet at first was nice but watery eggs and other basic choices are the level to which it has deteriorated.

We just stayed at the hotel because the last time we stayed we really liked it. This time it wasn’t that great the room was not that clean and smelled a lot like cigarettes when we got a non smoking room. Then around 2 in the morning you can hear the all the noise the people were making next door.

Savion knows customer service & that’s so rare these days. Beds were comfy, room clean but older. Walls are thin, was thankful for the fan that helped me not hear the neighbors conversation. Now d stay here again

Was visiting for a birthday party nearby. I stayed here before and really enjoyed the pool and free breakfast. I will make this my staple when visiting again. Only was disappointed when the bar was closed on Sunday. This is really close to the CA welcome center. Try out the VR experience of Death Valley if you can!

The staff was very courteous and the Pub was surprisingly the highlight of our stay. I thought our bed and pillows were very comfortable. Unfortunately, the tv was broken (only YouTube came in clearly), the security lock on the door was broken, we had to play with our card keys for 5 minutes every time we wanted to get into our rooms, and the toilet leaked every time you flushed.

The hotel was nice, clean and the staff were helpful and friendly. The room was clean, the bed was great and the cooling system was quiet. We had plenty of hot water for our showers. I would definitely stay here again.

The room was disgusting. The bedside tables looked like they hadn't been cleaned in years. We asked for another room and were assured it must've been a mistake that the room wasn't properly cleaned. Immediately upon stepping into the second room, we noticed ramen noodles and a dead moth on the ground. It's safe to say we left and, thankfully, were refunded.

Our door lock was broken — keys would not work. Every day the key card had to be reset or an attendant would have to open door for us after repeated requests for it to be fixed. Several guests reported same issue!!! I tried to get refund through Expedia for our early departure and hotel manager kept hanging up on the Expedia service rep. She said would waive the refund and cancelation fees to me but didn’t in the end. I will not stay there again and would not recommend

Walls are thin and you can hear conversations in the next room. Sheets were dirty in first room we were in and curtains broken so we couldn’t close them. They gave us another room and there was no hot water running in the bathroom sink, TV box was missing so we couldn’t watch anything, and curtains didn’t work in the second room either.

My main issue was that there was no hot water. I was there doing a work assignment out in the desert. My coworker in a different room also had no hot water. There were minor annoyances like the inability to adjust the volume of the TV (maybe I could not figure out how to work the remote?), single-ply toilet paper, generally old "tired" furniture, and a very basic/bland breakfast offering at the "restaurant" next door. On the plus side, the bed was comfortable and the AC unit fan was very good at making "white noise" for sleeping.

I liked the new updates in the rooms and loved the attached restraints. Look like a cabin inside Charlie’s restaurant. The rooms aren’t insulated very well as you can hear the neighbors walking and showering. Really poor insulation
