Truly the main issues was the door was damaged and would get stuck. Had to have someone in at all times to let us back in or we had to use considerable force. The showers in the morning were either freezing cold or at best luke warm.

No coffe pot inroom the shower didn't drain the breakfast was crap and to top it all off had 500 dollars of tools stolen

Best parking lot in the area! Clean & quiet! Disappointed that the restaurant was closed! Eats available down the street.

The coffee maker doesn't work, only had two towels and the sink lights some didn't. Other than that the room was good!

Older, but maintained, property located near casino offers large rooms with amenities like microwave & refrigerator in rooms for out-of-towners and hosts many special events that makes it the prime destination for stay-cations for locals.

No blankets so they let us pull another set of sheets from next door room to keep warm. Place is a bit run-down.

Late arrival and yet a very smooth, quick, welcoming check-in from the receptionists (both the experienced and the "rookie").

Very old hotel. Room was clean but run down. Restaurant was closed and no breakfast was available as it stated. Front desk clerk was not friendly.

Room was especially very nice and clean. Only problem was it was not cleaned on Sunday. Service in the lobby was excellent and grounds were nice and clean. I especially loved all the Halloween decorations. Every staff member we encountered was very courteous.

The pool and hot tub were moss green and closed. The rooms were clean but dated- no daily service and was not advised of that at any time. Front desk staff was friendly

The shower did not work, the iron did not work, the manager did not reach out and I was told explicitly that they would contact me. Im livid.

Great hotel for a stay in Coos Bay. Clean and in a great area between downtown Coos Bay and close to North Bend. Comfortable, friendly staff and no complaints here! One of the best, and more importantly, affordable hotels in town. Thank you Red Lion for still having reasonable prices and keeping up with maintenance and cleanliness! Exactly what we all need when staying at hotels.

For the one night the hotel th stay and cost was good.

Upon arrival, the young lady at the front desk was polite and helpful, but I was uncomfortable with the presence of a young man who appeared to be lingering at the desk. I was uncertain if he was a staff member or simply a visitor, and his presence was off-putting during the check-in process.
Once I entered my room, I was dismayed to find the conditions were well below the standards I expected. There were several issues, including:
Stained bedding
Crusted residue on the shower curtain
Mold around the tub
Peeling wallpaper in the bathroom
Due to the late hour, I had no choice but to stay despite the room’s condition. I have attached photos documenting these concerns for your reference.
Additionally, during checkout, I found the interaction with the front desk staff equally disappointing. The woman at the desk did not inquire about my stay, and when I requested the manager’s email, I received an eye roll and was handed the information without further assistance or concern for my feedback.
After over 48 hours i have still not herd back from the manager of the establishment (wonder if i even got the correct email from the front desk clerk?)

Amazing staff very nice and helpful will be back!!

Room smelled very bad. Couldn’t get a room in second floor to keep the windows open to remove the smell

When I first checked in, the person at the desk could not find my reservation. It took her several minutes to find my reservation, & I had already paid for the room. One of the beds had a very noisy spring; every time I moved from one side to the other or got up to go to the bathroom, it was bouncy & noisy. The AC unit was old, hard to use, took a long time to figure out how to use, & we just happened to find a fan in the room. The front office was going to send a maintenance person to help us or look at the AC unit; the maintenance person never showed.

The carpet and the sheets and pillows smelled of mold,

Upon arrival/check in, the front lobby smelled of raw sewage - almost made me gag.

I stay here everytime I visit my family. Clean, quiet, very nice. This trip, only negative was the smoke detectors battery was low and it was cherping. Front desk said it would be a few minutes to get someone to fix. After 1.5 hours, getting sleepy, called down, lady very upset came up and changed it herself. Like I said, nice place..

They overbooked our room and we had to stay in a room that the front door didn’t shut. We had to put couch in front of the door

The front desk staff were friendly and helpful.
Images on the web site are more than a little deceiving. We were not only discouraged upon arrival, but surprised to find this motel was very old and in disrepair. The worst of it was that the sheets were dirty, and stained.

At 85 I was stuck with a second floor unit since I booked on Expedia, and they said they couldn’t adjust my reservation. Also had pending charges on my credit card of $122.00 and $25.00 in addition to Expedia’s charge of $200. plus for one night. Extra charges stayed pending for six days - apparently until they received payment from Expedia. All this made my reservation through Expedia not the best way to go! Now you want me to revise my comments so they are more pleasing to you. Nope these comments express my experience with Red Lion

They did not clean our room and instead put a do not disturb sign on our door. The 4 ice machines by our room were out of order. Room was okay, but needed some maintenance. It was a place to stay but that was about all. We will not plan on ever coming back.

Ants in the bathroom and pool and hot tub to dirty to get in, wouldn’t even want to put a dog in there it was so dirty

Great place to stay

The lobby was dirty and the breakfast was not as advertised. The food area was not taken care of and dirty. The room was dusty and cobwebs were on the vents. The room did not have enough towels nor a coffee pot. The one they brought did not work properly. The room was mostly clean, but smelled old and closed up.

Very dumpy and run down. Management let a bus load of students run up and down the halls and stairs all evening screaming at the top of their lungs. Someone left us a turd in the toilet bowl when we checked it. AC was very loud. Carpet is ancient and dirty, room is dark and dingy.

I had to kick the door for it to open and you could see daylight all around it. There was no remote in the room. The one they brought didn't work. They had to actually replace the TV. Could hear the people upstairs walking and coughing.

Bathroom light/fan fixture missing a part (hole in the ceiling) and very noisy.
We had a difficult time locating the office. Large parking area and no sign designating the office. The office was in a separate building that we thought was another business.

Continental breakfast was good. Room was quiet and bed was comfortable but carpet needed to be cleaned. A good value for the price. With in a 3 minute walking distance of an awesome pizza place - Dave's Pizza.

Everything was broken.

You could spend the $200 a night cost at some other hotel or 2 nights of Motel Six down the street. Not worth the money here.

The motel was clean, but only one bath towel. Reception people not available, had to knock on doors to get them to come out. People lurking around motel room door and looking in cars- notified front desk. Nothing done.

Very average overall. The room was clean and bed was very comfortable. Nice big room. Lots of outlets and lighting options, and large mini fridge. Unfortunately the room had a real funky smell (cleaning solutions?), got used to it after a while. Garbage piled up around the full garbage can just outside our room was off putting when we arrived. We booked a king room with a sofa bed, there was no sofa bed. We didn’t need it fortunately so no big deal but if we had that would have been a problem. Shower had awesome pressure with a great shower head and plenty of hot water. Shampoo and conditioner were TINY bottles. Seemed smaller than normal. I pack extra just in case and definitely needed it.

Going downhill fast

The bath & and the shower did not work. The toilet ran all the time. We were not able to take a bath.

Don"t waste your money at this facility. Internet, room telephone, air conditioner, one vanity light, one pole lamp ALL DID NOT WORK!!! Fans were provided, but did not do the job cooling down the room. Bed was terrible.
Someone should have check these items before a guest moves in and unpacks. Definite repairs and upgrades are necessary.

Properties oversold online. There is no more restaurant. Jacuzzi was broken. Pool temp was set to 74. Not great. In Coos Bay. With average temp of 68. Rooms were dated. It was clean enough and supplies at hand. But lots of deferred maintenance on the property. I wish I’d stayed at the best Western down the road.
