Overall place is good, we stayed with our family (4) and our dog. But the fee for a service pet is way too expensive compared with other hotels..

It was a good stay. Staff was informed of my daughter's social anxiety and mental health issues. They chose to confront her when i sent her downstairs to retrieve an item. Special needs should be communicated

Great location and very freindly staff. The pullout couch was not comfortable at all. Don't plan on sleeping on it. The king bed was very comfy and the room was spacious. Roof top terrace is nice with great views.

The hotel itself was nice. The issue I had is with the charges. Hotels.com advised that I would need to pay $137.08 at the hotel in addition to what I paid hotels.com. The hotel actually charged $253.03!!! For that amount we were given 6 bottles of water and 6 cans of pop. What a rip off!!!!! Do not stay there!

Mold infested property

Great price for the location. A little old fashioned place but loved the room.

My state of The Chicago hotel collection, magnificent mile went pretty well. Although the initial stage of my stay was actually a bit dangerous. I checked into room 1903 and found a device that was running in the room, making the room smell weird. I proceeded to unpack my things, not thinking too much of the device. Soon I started coughing a lot and having major shortness of breath and started getting very dizzy. I then looked up with the device was and found it to be an ozone generator, and that I shouldn’t be in the same room as one. I then went downstairs and the gentleman that was helping me was not very friendly, but was quick at getting me a new room in 2004. I then took a nap and woke up having a hard time breathing. I’ve been fine since checking out, but still scary to have gone through that not knowing the danger I was in.

the room was nice, but we were unable to adjust the temperature. We were cold most of the night. They only have Valet parking which was expensive.

It was alright. Read about the additional charge for the plastic bag of a few cans of soda and a few water bottles and knew about it going in, but even if you ask you can't decline it and have to eat the charge. The only thing that offset that was how cheap the rate was to start but probably wouldn't have picked this place if I knew it essentially doubles after that charge. No breakfast. Coffee was just a Keurig in the lobby.

I have 4 charges from this hotel. Even after prepaying they told me the system automatically processed my card again then again. Even though I had already made the payment! You can’t even call the hotel and speak to anyone. So be prepared to stand in the busy lobby. But the rooms are very nice.

It was nice but I didn't get the same warm welcome greeting as the other group party did my hotel checker even stop doing what she was doing to smile and tell them have a great night ....I feel you should have the same attitude or energy no matter what

There were a bunch of unexpected fees which made the entire trip so much more than I could reasonably afford. Overall I’m probably not coming back.

Room was nice, older. It was clean, comfortable. After spending a day at the hospital, it was the comfort I needed.

DO NOT STAY HERE!!!
If you desire your room to be refresh daily This hotel will charge you 50$. When expressed my disappointment staff has been rude. This is unacceptable after paying 200$ a day per room
3.8
Hidden fees that don’t get you anything

Personal not friendly, they never clean my room (mention that they do every 4 days), air conditioner too loud…. Never again and l asked for support to leave earlier to move to another hotel.
I paid 1,200 for 3 nights unvelivable…. Really disappointed

Booked this for a colleague. When he arrived around 8:30 pm, he was told that there was no room despite him having his confirmation. We paid over $500 when booking which has yet to be refunded. You cannot get a person on the phone, but they direct you to email any questions/issues. I have emailed twice as well as messaging here on hotels.com with no response. Have now had to start a dispute with the credit card company. Book elsewhere and save yourself the hassle.

Decorated nicely with awesome city view

The hotel and room was very nice & clean. However the hotel hits you with all kinds of extra charges and fees upon arrival. I was told that this was mentioned at purchase and to my recollection it was not. They say it is policy to get the "guest benefits package" which just felt like an excuse to up charge further. The benefits included 6 non alcoholic beverages and a 25$ gift card that I never received. They Do Not offer any sort of breakfast, just coffee, and their rooftop restaurant has been closed since Covid and only provides a small rooftop space--not as advertised. It really left me feeling like I had been scammed / swindled.

Arrived to a reserved and paid for room on the evening of 8/31 and was told there was no room. I had to find another hotel and pay last minute rates. I tried calling the hotel to discuss a refund and am unable to get a person. I emailed as directed on the phone message and have had no response to two emails. The hotel charged $513.57 and has yet to refund or respond to requests for a refund.

I had to wait 30 mins to be checked in because staff walked away from the desk it was another person up there but he didn’t greet us he literally had to wait on someone else to come to the desk . Or then that everything was great
3.8
I didn't expect the luxury fee by hotel. I paid an extra $166. A hidden fee that was unexpected.
3.8
The only annoyance is that your food delivery persons can’t come up. Besides that, it’s all good.
3.8
Bad, worst hotel I had been to for that money. Stay for 6 days , supposed to clean up on the fourth day unfortunately No cleaning I went to the front desk and they gave so many reasons.
3.8
Hidden fees are so not worth it!
I am very upset that I had to call 12 times to get a hold of front desk!
It should be clear from the beginning and not get horrible surprises once I arrived!
The fees do not match what it says in the app

The time to check-in took a long time. Even though I had already done it on the website.
There was not enough staff to attend to the guest.
The lady at the front desk warned me that the water of the shower was coming out very hot, but that. wasn´t the case the water temperature was extremely high.
After I reported the issue, the reception staff said they would send a plumber to fix it, and it was fixed the following day.
Also the day I arrived, I called to the front desk requested for an extra blanket, and they told me they diddn`t have staff to deliver it to my room.
I had to ask for toilet paper because the one the left was only half full and there was no tissues.
We found a empty bag of penuts inside de sofa when pulled it out, and a soda bottle underneath another sofa.
I tried to s peak with the manager several times, but i was never able to find him.
Sunday was supposed to be the day for cleaning, but it didn`t happen.
The hotel is lovely and perfectly situated, just a short walk from Michigan Street. When we checked out, the staff helped us store our luggage and called a taxi for us.
The coffe machines are a plus, although they don´t have water and we have to refell the.

Arrived at the hotel and they quoted a price higher than what was booked through Expedia. This additional “fee” was basically for a bag of waters and a serve yourself coffee station. No room service and the room smelled as if someone had been smoking in it. Other than the hotel’s location, I would not recommend.

Great option for downtown Chicago. Close to the magnificent mile and various other attractions. Brought my family and we had a great stay.

Tha lady (receptionist) was rude !

Total scam, patrons beware. Charge you for some premium bundle package of crap that you’ll never use. But hey at least you get 6 bottles of water a day for the extra $180
Great Deal!

Check-in was easy, very friendly staff
3.8
Hidden fees at check in - added almost $100 to 1 night stay. Staff wouldnt discuss and room was non refundable. Hallway had very unpleasant odor. Lacking safety features like door peephole and room keys required for elevator. Accessible room had iissues at entrance for wheelchair. “Coffee bar” was a Keurig machine with used pods. NOT recommend or stay again.
3.8
Asked for towels 4 times. No restaurant or bar open.
3.8
We chose this hotel based on location and price. We were very shocked to be charged an additional $179 for 2 nights in addition to the rates paid on Expedia. Hotel is older and in need of updates and not super clean. Would not recommend!
