The room had a musty damp feel . HVAC humidity issue and hallways had same issues. Reported at check out. There was little to no interest from clerk or offer to discount. It went in one ear and out the other.

Overall very little value for your dollar, especially when you have to pay extra for breakfast.
Receptionist was absent when I arrived and I had to wait quite some time before he showed up.
Room was rather dirty and I found some hair on the towels, albeit it was cozy and nice.

Stay away from this hotel unless you want bed bugs and scammed out of your money

The price of the hotel was good. Our air conditioner must have been low on Freon as it didn’t blow out cool air making for a very uncomfortable August night sleep. The room smelled a bit musty. Other than this, the hotel was fine, but we would not stay here again.

This place has the most unprofessional management ive ever had to deal with ever in my life. They make you pay a deposit for each night you stay and refuse to refund the money for the room if you cant pay it. The rooms are filthy with stains on the bedding and flooors also its a extra charge for breakfast that most places give free. The vending machines do not work because they want you to buy there $5 sodas and snacks to make even more money from you. My advice to everyone is to stay clear of this place and give your business to the better hotels in the high country that respect and take care of there customers.

My stay was a pleasant one.The hotel was not a fancy top of the line hotel but it was clean and had what was needed for my stay. I was there for a soccer tournament and I thought the location was perfect. I would stay here again!

This was our 2 nd stay at this property and everything was great except for the check in.The same happened last time and I am very disappointed how long it takes to check in ,and what complicated system the have.
The lady behind the front desk was nice and beeing in the Hotel and Restaurant business for 45 years I have never experienced such a check in .

It was a nice stay, however, I was promised a receipt by email. It’s been almost 3 days and I still don’t have a receipt.

It was nice - except for the abandoned building next to it

Air conditioner sounded like an airplane taking off each time it went on.

Super nice room with a view of the mountains. It would have been nice to have a window that opens, at least enough to let in that nice mountain air.

Check in was painfully slow. I find it important to acknowledge when guests are waiting which we did not get as I waited 15 minutes as the next in line. A simple "I'll be with you in just a moment" provides a sense of reassurance. The hotel was otherwise clean. The mattress was ready to be replaced as it was

This hotel is in a great location, close and convenient to many things, including App State University.
The property itself could use some updating. Carpet isn't the greatest throughout. Our shower water would only get lukewarm, not hot at all. Staff was very nice and switched us rooms so we could enjoy our stay as much as possible.

We stayed here while we were getting our son set up to begin his Masters program at App. State. I know we will be back over the next two years for visits and will make our reservations here.

Cleaning was done sporadically. 3 days in a row and then 3 days without. I had to go to the front desk and ask for clean towels and for a large bag to dispose of the garbage myself. We had no soap in the shower on the last day.
Then I cut my stay short from 7 days down to 6 and both Hotels.com and Holiday Inn were pushing it on the other to issue the refund for that day. I still do not have an answer if I will get a refund. The desk was telling me it was up to Hotels.com and Hotels is telling me it is up to the hotel. You know what? Last time using Hotels and last time in Holiday Inn.
I’ve got AAA and AARP so I’m sure I can get just as low a rate. Also, the people at the desk were telling me Expedia/Hotels.com are horrible to work with and I believe it given their failure to take responsibility. Never again!

Delayed check in made us sit in our hot car for over a hour.

Decent place for a quick stay. We only stayed for a night but its just what you need for a short stay. Decent price for the rooms and close by to alot of restaurants and attractions, so it was convenient.

The hotel double charged me for one night. I booked on Hotels.com and when I arrived at the hotel, they took my credit card for incidental charges that I was told would drop off when I checked out. The Manager acknowledge the double charge but unwilling to credit my credit card.

Hotel is in dire need of maintenance. Many things not working. Had to change rooms twice. Third room was passable. Fire/smoke detectors chirping (low batteries), AC units struggling to cool, fitness room was a joke, and trash around the lobby and outside. Get it together. Not up to IHG standards.

I picked this location for the pool and spa, but they were closed. I also picked the location for breakfast, but paid $8 for two miniature muffins.

One of my favorite hotels in Boone. The bed is comfortable. That is the most important thing for me - other than price. Boone overall is highly overpriced. You can stay in downtown Manhattan for less than a room cost in Boone.
I was surprised that the hotel does not provide a free continental breakfast. A packaged danish like you buy in Costco or BJs, and a bottle of water costs seven dollars. But overall, the hotel is located convenient to the university and a few blocks from the best restaurant in Boone - The Local on Howard Street.

This hotel has an $100 incidental fee that they say will be returned to you in 10 days....THAT'S RIDICULOUS! Just stayed in a Hampton Inn the night before and it was $25. Besides that we booked it for the pool and hot tub but it was closed for maintenance....absolute crap!
