Grateful to have stayed due to limited options in Bar Harbor. Not grateful for the lack courtesy from staff and, most importantly, the lack of an AC that could pull moisture out our room. In desperation, we pulled one of the many dehumidifiers from the hallway into our room. Eventually, it became comfortable. Otherwise, the room was fine.

I would not stay there again. The resort was closing 5 days after we were there. Upon reservations we should have been informed. There was quite a few things your hotel was out of, because they did not reorder to take card of the guests that were there. It is unfortuante that guests at the end of the season were not considered important. I did not receive my $50.00 deposit back either. I was told that the resort was closed, and may be resolved next year. Horrible. If I could I would request the whole amount back. The food was awful, could not get cream and sugar for coffee. Several guests and I waited for assistance for just a cup of coffee. There should be changes when you continue to register guest, knowing tou are closing for the season. Susan Biring.

There were a lot of hidden charges not displayed on hotels.com. Ended up paying about $1500 extra compared to what hotels.com charged me.

We were upgraded to their sister location downtown. It was fabulous resort.

Check in was slow and they weren’t concerned. Business center and coffee bar was always messy. They had a sign offering hot cider starting at 4 but never had any. We were confused about the name because Regency was on a lot of things and town people referred to it as such. Room was ok but it looked like we got one of the dated ones compared to some we saw. Bed was comfy though. We ate at Stewmans lobster pound onsite the night we arrived which happened to be their last night for the season and it was good. We also were able to catch a free bus to downtown and their season was over our last night too. It was too cold to fully enjoy the property but it looked like a great summer place to stay.

Great place to stay! Not too far away from shops and restaurants but you will need to plan to drive. Bar harbor has plenty of parking. Very quiet and very clean

We absolutely loved the grounds, amenities, views, and staff. I do recommend the hotel look into some updating for the rooms. There were some items that were out of date and just didn’t give as nice of a stay. We had issues with the sound of pipes when others around us were showering. They would squeal like crazy but it wasn’t an all the time thing. I highly recommend and would stay again.

Got changed to Harborside Hotel a “sister property”. Not sure why or how. Think it cost me more. But just one night so splurged. The view was amazing, the hot tub was awesome and room service for dinner and breakfast!

Beautiful Grounds around the buildings. Kept up very well, although, as one that travels extensively, the hotel building is somewhat "tired" as I like to refer to a facility that is clearly relatively old with periodic updates.

Great Stay friendly staff, clean

The property was very clean, the location with ocean views spectacular. The property however could use some updating, the decor appeared to be a mish mash of styles from eras gone by. Additionally it seems that the staff was new or in transition lacking in customer service and helpfulness.

Excellent stay on the ocean! Staff were very welcoming, accommodating and kind. I had a lot of trouble sleeping the first night, needed to find a comfy spot in the bed but then night two I slept great! Traveling alone as a woman I felt very safe staying here which was important. Highly recommend

Staff was awful. The hotel website and hotels.com say the hotel has a concierge service, but they do not. When I asked if they had one to help give advice on things to do in Bar Harbor and hikes at Acadia I was told rudely they did not know and dont have concierge to help. They also rushed checked me in, didnt explain any of the extra charges, and sent me on my way. Very very unhappy.

Bar Harbor is busy but accommodations were excellent. Only issue room was not ready when we arrived at 4:30. Otherwise wonderful location. Had a good time in in Bar Harbor and Arcadia.

Such a quiet relaxing stay. Beautiful view and outside area was spectacular. The free shuttle service was so nice and made our stay here even better than expected.

We had asked for an ocean view. We were told we were being upgraded to a suite. Sounded great, but it was not great! It was in a beautiful stone building, but there was a shared dining table, sofa and chair area, also a shared balcony for I think 4 different rooms of people. It did have a beautiful view! Roman shades were not functional on french doors to balcony, as pulls were ripped, so you couldn’t see the view from inside. One of the globes covering one of the 4 bathroom lights was chipped. There were very few places to plug in electronics. It just looked like a building that had been nice maybe 50 years ago… it felt old and tired… I don’t consider shared areas a suite at all!!!
Fortunately, the weather was beautiful during our stay and so walking outside to the restaurant wasn’t an issue. The restaurant BTW was very nice! We had drinks, dinner and breakfast there!
I was very pleasantly surprised that the pool and the hot tub were still open in mid-September! My other issue was I was told I would get 500 points for each day if I didn’t use housekeeping. I only got it for one night of our stay. Not a huge deal that I only got 1/2 of the promised amount of points, but still left with a poor impression.

The resort was well located and had nice amenities. We enjoyed the restaurant and the pool. Our room was well maintained and clean but on the older side. TV, well the tv remote, was very hard to use. The pet fee + the resort fee + the actual room cost was a little shocking to me in the end. Was not expecting a $220 of additional charges at checkout.

When we arrived, our room was equipped with a dehumidifier which was noisy and required frequent emptying BY US. The bathroom was so humid that the floors, counters, mirrors and toilet stayed wet and slimy from the time we took our evening showers until the next morning when we were preparing for our day.
The staff was annoying. They repeatedly phoned us and texted us to confirm over and over again that we were, indeed, arriving that day. We kept telling them we were on our way. We arrived before 9 p.m.
When pulled into the parking lot to check in, we were pounced upon by the consierge, who told us that he alone had to take our bags to our room, then stood there waiting for a tip.
The room, whether because of the humidity problem or something else, felt old and musty. The carpet was ratty and the place was a dump.
When we ate at the on-site restaurant, we were considerably overcharged for our meal. We pointed this out to our waiter, who took our receipt and credit card and told us he corrected the overcharge. When we got our credit card bill later that month, the overcharge was still there.
But that's not all. This hotel charged an exorbitant amount of money for the room and on-site facilities, including an extra RESORT CHARGE, which seemed senseless since we couldn't use any facilities, namely the workout room because the Peloton required an existing subscription in order to be used.
This hotel was a MAJOR DISAPPOINTMENT. Don't waste your money.

Loved it here! Super close to Acadia Visitor Center and hotel has a stop for the shuttle into town. Hot tub stays open until 10:30pm😊 Will stay here again if we get back to Bar Harbor

Staff had no personality and it seemed like we were hassling them by checking in. Resteraunt by the pool was dirty, we ordered lobster and it came in a roasting pan with corn, muscles amd potatoes very quickly indicating and was way overcooked, served with paper plates and plastic forks. Our room was supposed to be a suite but was a wierd triangle shaped room with a queen bed and bunk beds in it. We found crumbs in the bed most likely from previous guest which indicated the bed wasnt properly turned over. This hotel is more for families with kids, the pool are did look ok for that but we didnt try it out and checked out.

Close to town center but far enough for quiet sleeping. Friendly servers from international locations. Great view of bay and islands.

I was disappointed that we had to stay in the building not attached to the lobby. With zero view. We even had a tree in front of the window. I booked the hotel for the view and had I known this is where I would stay I wouldn’t have booked the hotel. When asked if we could move rooms they said no with no options. The front seat lady that checked us in was not friendly at all. I would have been willing to pay more to upgrade but there was no option. I was very disappointed in this. It was all inconvenient.

The check-in was quick and easy, the grounds are beautiful and very well kept. We were there for a quick getaway and it had everything we needed. The room was spacious and clean. However, the public restroom was not so clean. Breakfast was included with our stay. I think the dining area could use some cleaning up. The Italian restaurant has awesome pizza! I wish we had more time to enjoy the pool. It really looked quite nice.. If we were taking another trip out that way, I’m sure we would stay there again.

TV listing card was not correct. Even the banners on the tv did not match the channel. No major networks. About the worst TV channel selection I’ve ever experienced.
Also need more information in the room about the resort. I had to ask many questions.
Overall resort was good.

Loved this place. Beautiful views in restaurants and pools. Bus pickup made getting around town and Acadia a breeze. We didn’t drive anywhere!

This was a last little get away before my husband deployed. The only thing we enjoyed about this hotel was the pool. The rooms were dark and small. They never cleaned the floors came in made beds and left. The STAFF, zero customer service seemed very annoyed when questioned were asked. I was not greeted or informed as others ahead of me at check in. (Which is why I had questions during our stay) won't stay there again.

Just as planned and I am so happy when a plan goes straight through the way it was suppose to be.

Nice hotel with great view. Close to the Acadia park and downtown Bar Harbor. Frequent shuttle from hotel to all around the city and Acadia National Park. We were hoping to use the pool but the water did not look clean. Our last day the pool was closed due to algae. The fridge in our room was not adjustable and most of our fruit was frozen. The windows in the room does not open and had to have AC on the whole time. Pretty noisy AC system.
Overall I liked the hotel and the grounds.

Our room was inconveniently located on the 1st floor near an exit with no views. We didn’t know this was a pet friendly hotel, my mistake, but we heard people in & out with thier dogs at all hours. We asked to change our room but was told they were fully booked. Room was clean but very humid and we had to change the humidifier water ourselves as housekeeping never did. Overall, i would say it was a 3 out of 5.. seems there were many orher places to stay in the area.
