Quiet, beautiful, one of a kind gem, great breakfast and very comfortable. We travel Vermont often and our stay was a delightful surprise.

It seemed like the outdoor portion of the property and landscaping needed some TLC, but overall it’s a beautiful place and great staff!

Inn was amazing. Breakfast was incredible

We had a very relaxing and comfortable stay at the Lilac Inn. The team here was accommodating and kind., the rooms clean and the breakfast was yummy.
Brandon is a nice town with a picturesque New England feel which is fun to walk and experience.

Charming inn that is Beautiful maintained & full of antique collections & Vermont History. Renovated bathrooms, with charming well built details.
Comfortable beds, nice linens, fireplace, coffee -tea bar, robes, Den, covered porches…. Beautiful inside & outside. Sweet lil town too.
Would not miss a chance to stay at the Lilac Inn

My mom and I stayed here as part of our road trip through New England and it was absolutely delightful! The room was so cute, and the breakfast was nice. The grounds are pretty and there is a nice area to relax on the porch. They had a library too. Everything was just so nice. I wish we stayed longer than 1 night. Highly recommend!
4.7
Lovely accommodation, friendly staff and delicious breakfast. Town was walkable from accommodation and plenty trails within short driving distance

Cannot say enough good things about our stay at the Lilac Inn. In addition to all the boxes I checked as highlights, the breakfast was lovely!

Maybe I just don't know how Bed and Breakfasts truly work, since this was my first stay at one. But when we arrived, no one was there, our room key was left on the check-in desk with a note that told us breakfast time and wi-fi code. There was a number to call if we needed something and it said they were just running errands, but we never saw anyone until breakfast the next morning. It turned out every restaurant in town was closed on Mondays, we had to go miles back to the last town, it really would have been nice to have a staff person to ask for recommendations. I thought part of the charm of a B&B is supoosed to be personalized service, but I got more welcome from my $100 a night motel the night before!

Absolutely love the property inside and out! Our room is large, beautiful, and the bed is so comfortable.Exceeded my expectations; wish we were staying more than one night!
We have two "complaints" - the fragrant smell in our room was overpowering & nauseating, and then whatever was being cooked downstairs smelled all the way up to our room on the second floor, and not in a good way unfortunately.
4.7
Friendly staff great breakfast menu with alternatives
Helpful information of places to visit around the area
Negative: having people sit with each so you become acquainted

Absolutely gorgeous... just a lovely place!

I really liked that my room and property were very clean. Breakfast was great and coffee machine in hall was very convenient. The big downside was the shower. Both days I would immediately loose hot water and freeze, then suddenly get it back and burn myself. Not enjoyable at all. And for $300 a night I do expect to have an enjoyable shower.

Perfect spot!

We had a lovely one night stay. The gardens and surrounding property are beautiful. The room was very spacious and well tended before we arrived.

My friend and I were traveling by motorcycle and had a very nice welcoming stay. Clean and comfortable with a very nice breakfast.
4.7
It was a very nice overall experience with beautiful grounds and a lot of character.
If WiFi is super important to your stay be aware that you may need to use it in the lobby as our room was a distance from the router and was weak on signal strength.

The Lilac is was beautiful, charming and quiet! I stayed in Room 9 because I wanted a shower. It was very private with its own hall once you entered the room. The mattress, sheeting and pillows were extremely comfortable and inviting. The breakfast was delicious as well. I will certainly come back!

Lovely stay, outstanding breakfast and great hosts!

This is a beautiful old building and grounds. The room was generously sized but a bit cluttered. The front desk staff was very friendly.
4.7
We love staying here. Beautiful grounds, beautifully appointed rooms, yummy breakfast. Who could ask for more

Enjoyed our stay until we got home and both of us found bug bites... Still uncertain what these bug bites are. The property is relatively clean but there is mold on the bathroom ceiling and a deep clean is certainly needed as there were minor stains on the carpet and scuffs on the wall. Breakfast was made-to-order and delicious!
4.7
Great breakfast, comfortable bed and spacious room and great service.

It’s a nice place to stay, with that said, our Television did not work. I messaged right away about the issue. It was getting pretty late by the time someone could look at it so I asked for it to be fixed in the morning. It was still not working when we got back from lunch the next day. I asked the lady at the front desk for help fixing it and she said she would mention it to housecleaning? It happened to be freezing outside( below zero) …so outside activities were out of the question. Our goal was to relax all weekend which included our favorite shows. Unfortunately with the issue not being resolved we left a day early.

Absolutely wonderful and beautiful place to stay. So quiet. So historical and so romantic. Will be coming here again and again.
4.7
The inn keeper was actually out on errands when we arrived and had our room key on the counter for us with a sweet little note. Our room was so cute and quaint, everyone from the inn was friendly and the breakfast options were delicious both days. Very quiet place and we'll definitely be back in the spring
4.7
The grounds are beautiful with gorgeous flowers and nice walkways. The stroll to downtown was enhanced by a farmers market going on every Friday. The TVs are difficult to figure out with multiple remotes, and no info. in the rooms as to how to use them?!? Overall a great place to stay with a wonderful breakfast and helpful staff. We hope to return again! Thank u!

It was fine for the area. Quaint and laid back. Especially okay for the price. As expected it’s creaky and dated. The only real criticism would be the towels-pretty worn out. But comfy bed.
