Dirty and low quality food. No service at all.

1. Raw experience/value:
Our stay left much to be desired. Location was excellent, with easy access to the beach and a beautiful swimming pool area, but overall experience was far from satisfactory. The lack of assistance during our late-night check-in, especially considering we had a toddler with us, was disappointing. Additionally, the room we were given was a long 4-minute walk from the entrance, which was inconvenient for us and our little one.
2.Cost/Benefit:
At CAD 300 per night, including breakfast, we expected a higher quality experience. Unfortunately, the breakfast was a huge letdown, with barely any food available, which is particularly disappointing given Brazil's reputation for delightful hotel breakfasts. The room itself felt outdated, with old air conditioners, a rusty fridge, and an aged bathroom with a non-functional hot tub. Considering the cost, we did not feel like we received good value for our money.
3. A short story involving my experience:
During our stay, we looked forward to enjoying a refreshing beverage by the pool after a day at the beach. To our delight, we discovered a beer machine near the swimming pool area. Sadly, this was one of the few positive experiences during our time at this hotel. In the morning, when we were eager to start our day with a hearty breakfast, we were met with a nearly empty buffet. Disheartened, we ended up leaving the hotel without breakfast, feeling that our expensive stay had not lived up to our expectations.

The facility it’s to old and the food It’s the same every day and I found the Cucaracha is my room😏

Wonderfull structure, but the maid service(check in, check out, room service) and organization lunch leave a lot to be desired

We stayed one night. Our suite 272 was perfect and quiet. Beach is beautiful but with big waves. Swimming pools are nice but overcrowded by the visitors who come only for a day use. Going for a dinner we heard a loud noise which could disturb the units close by. Our unit was far away. We loved our stay and we got on Hotels come a very good price.

Ótima praia, bom hotel. Tudo nos conformes.

The WiFi is very patchy and poor.

Good place for traveling stay . The only problem is the staff is not flexible when I forget brought my yellow label of hand and didn't allow me to inter restaurant. My feeling is bad for this.

Our honeymoon was ruined by this hotel.
Very unclean, poorly kept, got food poisoning from the buffet that sits for hours. Rain poured loudly onto out balcony due to fauly guttering. Spa is poor, no vegetarian food and everything is very expensive.
Seriously not worth your money!

Despite a slow start due to our expedia booking was not in the hotel system (luckily they were not sold out) I'm happy with my stay. Vila do Mar is one of the oldest hotel on Via Costeira built in the 80's . Rooms are good size and clean. All of them have ocean view. You need to ask for a key to use room's safety box. The hotel is by the beach and has 4 great pools. My booking included 1 meal which we chose dinner, I would not recommend to get all meals included so you can enjoy the region culinary .

We stayed here during the World Cup and couldn't have had a better experience. It was a bit far away from Ponta Negra but we had no trouble getting taxis to and from there. The hotel staff was incredibly helpful Would definitely recommend staying here.

Stayed 3 days at the beginning of World Cup. Good hotel to experience the coast at a reasonable price.

If you get an ocean view room, it will not disappoint. Overall, the facilities were clean, and most important, the WiFi worked. The glaring drawback is that this resort is off of the main road running north of Natal, close to Ponta Negra, and is thus very isolated. Beyond other nearby resorts, you will not within walking distance to any restaurants or stores. Should you desire isolation and the constant sound of the rough ocean, this is your place.

Stayed here for just a couple of days during our World Cup trip and had a great time. The location is a little bit out of town but that is compensated for by the great views of the ocean and the sand dunes. Room was small but perfectly functional and clean. Staff friendly and helpful. Great experience.

My paper\reservation said luxury room !! what a joke,,,,the room had no clock\ alarm clock, no hot water, the bed only had a tiny sheet no cover, air conditioning had no control and it rattle so loud !! it's either you freeze or turn it off and you can't breath too hot. when it broke down after 2 days they did not want to fix it !
I had to yell and bring my stuff in the lobby and laydown on the cough,,, for them to give me another room!
you just touch the phone you are charged, weather or not you got connection!! and they don't tell you either,,,
even when someone calls you, or even if it's in town,,,, 2 people called me, they never gave me my messages.
you try to speak your best Portuguese no one cares or helps you, only when they found out I was Canadian then they tried to help me and understand. (they thought I was American) and there are NO activities and no entertainments,,, nothing!!
I will never ever go there again!!

We only stayed at Hotel Vila do Mar for one night. We saw that the normal price for a night at the hotel is much more than what we paid, and I can't say I would have paid full price for a night's stay here. The place is under construction, so maybe things will be better by their World Cup deadline. The room was nice, although the floor could be redone and the tv had broken buttons. The hot water on the shower was a little tricky to work, but got the job done. We woke up at 7a to the sound of a jackhammer outside our window. That was great .... Otherwise, good food, right on the beach, nice pool area.

I was there for couple of days end of February during a business trip. The location is unique, half way from the Punta Preta restaurants and the old city of Natal. The beach, the palms, the sand are amazing. It's simply a postcard location! The hotel is a bit old, the rooms need to be refurbished. They seems quite clean anyway.
The service is very good, people there is very friendly and try to help.
The meals are ok, nothing special.

insulted that the charge $R2/day for a lock to the room safe and the slider didn't lock!

Hotel is right on the ocean, but not near anything. It is away from restaurants, shopping, and other attractions. One really needs to have a rental car when staying at this hotel. Staff was friendly and some spoke English. On check out, hotel tried to get me to pay even though I had a prepaid reservation. This held up getting to the airport for an early morning flight. When this happened, they would only speak Portuguese to me, but fully understood the English I was speaking. Hotel is under major renovation and parts look like a war zone. To get to the hotel restaurant, one has to walk outside - which is okay unless it is raining. Beach is very narrow at this hotel.

We were intoxicated with food. We only ate at the hotel and they did not take any responsability for our sickness.
I do not recommend this hotel. Even thougth in the photos the hotel did not seem that bad it was far away from the restaurants and downtown. The beach was not that good.
