Dear Royal Court Hotel & Spa Team,
We recently had the pleasure of staying with you for one night, and I wanted to share my feedback regarding my experience.
From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the warm welcome from the staff and the charming ambiance of the hotel. The room was comfortable and well-equipped, providing a relaxing atmosphere after our journey. I also appreciated the range of amenities available, especially the spa facilities. which we love visit next time.
The hotel’s setting is delightful, and I found the surrounding area very pleasant to explore.
Additionally the team members were attentive and ensured our needs were met throughout our stay.
Thank you for a memorable experience. I look forward to visiting again and would recommend Royal Court Hotel & Spa to anyone seeking a comfortable and enjoyable stay in Coventry.
Warm regards,
Edward

I was located in room 362 and having stayed there before aI would surmise that it had recently been refurbished and was comfortable and clean so no complaints there.
I felt the dining experience was akin to a cafe and not what you would expect for the hotel which, The buffet was adequate and well priced, on the second night dined in the bar and the food and service was poor to say the least with the fare on offer all frozen produce and not pleasant. The fish and chips was served with side salad no musshy peas as advised the fish it self was barely cooked in the middle and was hadrly edible the portion of chips was indiffernt with some being hot and cooked and others warm and hard.
Needless to say left a lot and didnt bother complaining.

Disappointing that extra payment was required for Wi-Fi – and it wasn’t worth paying for.
Worse than that – I paid to attend the leisure centre. Worst one I’ve ever encountered in a hotel. The whirlpool bath was closed/empty. The poolside/communal shower was either ice cold or scalding hot so could not be used. The steam room actually stank and I could not stay.
So I went to shower in the changing rooms and for the first time ever, in a hotel encountered none of the expected products such as shampoo/body wash/etc.
Hotel itself is quite nice – but severely let down by the facilities for which I chose it!

The hotel reception is quite impressive but this does not carry through to the guest rooms which are best described as tired and dated. Whilst large enough, the rooms need redecorating and rewiring (what is going on with round-pin plugs)? The en-suite bathrooms are clad (not tiled) in an easy clean, plastic finish which is very white but also very basic.
For some reason, there were only two pillows in the room and, no you cant have a softer one if it is too hard. They dont have any softer pillows. Oh, and the fridge in the room was illuminated ALL NIGHT LONG and we had to cover it with a jacket to be able to sleep.
Wifi in communal areas is free but £7 per device in your room, at least I had a 4g+ connection so could hot-spot!

The grand title does not fit
Old dusty and tired. Too many things to list! But I will say it needs a good maintenance man!
Staff were brilliant. Breakfast ok. Bar staff amazing.
3.2
My review is based on the fact that this hotel was half the price of others in the area.
If you want a modern luxury hotel then this isn't the hotel for you, if you want a bed with basic amenities then its fine.
The bathroom in my room looked new but the rest of the hotel is dated. Carpets from the 80s, wallpaper with rips and a lift that I wasnt sure was going to make it, but you get what you pay for.
The leisure centre has good opening times but there is an additional fee of £4 per person per session and it is open to the public so can get busy.
There is no business centre as advised on hotels.com which was a bit awkward trying to work on checkout day.
Receptionists werent overly welcoming and didnt offer any information about the restaurant, breakfast or the leisure facilities.
Overall the hotel was clean enough but very very dated, but that is reflected in the price.

A sad little hotel, stuck in some kind of 90s time warp. Tired furniture, curtains hanging off the rails and weird room layouts, room carpet looked questionable, so kept my socks on.. and quite literally the lumpiest bed I have ever slept on. That said, the staff were helpful and friendly and the bathroom was clean. Good location for the airport but I wouldn't stay here again.
3.2
All good .Bar staff not great.
3.2
Basic. Needs decorating and updating. Looks tired. There was no stand up shower, just a shower hose on the bath taps with nothing to fix it on the wall and no shower screen or curtain.
3.2
Cross between Fawlty Towers and The Shining. No hot water. Mattress was uncomfortable. Rooms smelled fusty.
Outdoors was okay and back in the 80s it was probably a decent hotel. Doesn't look like there has been any upgrades or refurbishment since that era.
3.2
Good location to the Ricoh arena. Place is quite tired and could do with an update. No free wifi in the room only in public areas. Nice coffee machine in the room and fridge with water bottles was a nice touch. Tried the spa facilities and was relaxing although a little tired.
3.2
Wifi - very ppor to non- existent in the room
Breakfast very poor - plastic sausages and dry fried eggs
3.2
Room was dated and walls were paper thin as it felt like next door were in my room when talking. A superior double bed was two singles pushed together so not the best when laying in the middle of the bed.
3.2
Check in was quick, though she was unhelpful with food options, just pointed at a menu on the wall and told us to read it. Not helpful when you are gluten free, we were then told we could not get food from else where and bring it back. The room itself was clean and spacious. We did not use any other facilities. In all ok for an overnight stopover.
3.2
The hotel is rather outdated and the rooms are basic. My shower was blocked and water leaked on the bathroom floor. I overheard a guest complaining that their room hadn’t been cleaned. Staff isn’t particularly friendly or helpful.
There is a pool and a gym, which are charged at £4 per visit. The gym equipment has been clearly neglected and is in very poor condition, including rusted and dirty. There is a piece of broken equipment with black and yellow tape around it in the middle of the gym. It looks like it has been there for a while.
Overall, I would avoid staying here as there are better hotels for the same price.
3.2
Beautiful hotel and grounds.
The mattress was medium to firm, but the springs also could be felt at the edges.
Breakfast was very poor. Not enough staff, no welcome, hardly no food. No plates or glasses, cereal options that were open to the elements and young hands, but no milk. Was advised upon asking for a refund, that the food was being prepared. No staff in the restaurant to advise of this.
3.2
staff really helpful, great facilities inc gym and sauna, would certainly stay again
3.2
This hotel is amazing! I would definitely stay again… So many characteristic vibes, My son and I absolutely loved it.
3.2
Stayed here a few times with friends. Set in beautiful surroundings with a huge lawn to look at. Very accommodating staff. Always something going on at this hotel. Makes it interesting every time. It is used for alot of venues and weddings. If your staying the night its only an extra £4 to use the spa facilities which is great. Lovely comfortable bed and very clean room. The only negative was the 10am checkout time , would of been nice if it was 11.
3.2
Our stsy is do nice n comfortable as we checked in late after work n checked out esrly for eirk sgsun but we had very nice stay. Staff is so helpful and friendly, atmosphere is amazing. We plan to come again soon to enjoy spa and dinner for sure

We came for a wedding and had reserved several rooms. Not a single room was adequate. Some were missing sheets, others bath mats, closet doors, fridges or fans. On our 1st night there was no concern from staff about the pounding music after midnight coming from either a room in the hotel or a car in the parking lot despite complaints. I never intend to return nor ever recommend this hotel to anyone else.
3.2
To be honest for £60 a night it wasn’t clean enough, the room was dusty, small and no air conditioning or fan. I couldn’t fit in the shower, set out very old fashioned, just would not stay there again.
3.2
I did like the spa facilities
I didn't like being woken up at midnight from outside by some guests at a wedding reeving up a car
3.2
We arrived late at night yet the staff were very kind and went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. The place is really nice and the rooms are spacious. A silly incident with a group of childish lads who were residents on the same floor we were on was handled very well by abdulsalam a member of the night staff ( not sure of the spelling though).
3.2
Very enjoyable. Did not know spa was extra cost as it did not say that anywhere
3.2
Stay regularly on business, great value , easy commute to NEC and much much cheaper. Pleasant friendly staff. Buffet dinner & breakfast good and value for money. Rooms comfortable and most recently upgraded.
3.2
The hotel is work in progress- no electric sockets by the bedside, window blinds in the bathroom were broken - slats missing so you could be seen from outside when showering, bedroom curtains too short letting in light, curtain rail missing the ends so curtains fall off. No plug in sink. Windows wouldn’t lock closed.
On the plus side, l think they’re renewing the stair carpets. The gardens & terrace are beautiful.
In the Outside areas & window corners there were cobwebs & cigarette butts…..more attention to detail is required.
Also there wasn’t much choice on the evening food menu. We were told there was a buffet but we didn’t want an all you can eat buffet or a 3 course meal & l also have a Gluten allergy which they didn’t cater for.
It’s a shame no one remedies these small noticeable things which as a visitor your eyes are drawn to, since there’s so much potential in this beautiful hotel.
3.2
Beautiful place, friendly staff, nice & quite
3.2
Outdated decor.
3.2
This place would be really nice if the food wasnt so bad, all looks like it comes out of a freezer. Pillows were so big and so firm it gave me a cricked neck, but the gardens and rooms are nice enough
3.2
Not the best experience I've had, doesn't look like it does on hotels.com. Quite low end and very cheap looking. We made the best of it as it was a family weekend trip but I wasnt impressed. My parents' room had loads of ants in the bathroom so they had to change rooms. We also weren't impressed by being charged for wifi in our rooms or being charged to use the facilities - these are quite basic amenities to provide for guest within the price for the room. Finally, i thought it was rather cheeky to stipulate that we couldnt bring in food or drink from outside into our rooms, which are our private spaces.
3.2
The rooms are dated and smelt mouldy
3.2
A stunning hotel
3.2
There was no visible sign to Reception
No one at the desk to receive you
No clear direction to my room
3.2
2 lights not working, loose panel on side of bath, noise from adjoining lift shaft and air-con outside window.
No info in room
Disappointing.
3.2
Room was very spacious and clean. Dinner was lovely and restaurant staff were very polite and friendly.
3.2
Stayed in the block of flats bolted on the side...shabby place. Bits of carpet missing. Bedclothes strung over bannisters.
3.2
More attention was paid to coach parties than any other guests.
The carpets were dirty and not vacuumed to a high standard.
I had to pay extra to use the pool. Why?
The receptionist on arrival was blunt and unfriendly.
3.2
Staff friendly and hotel was clean.
Bar menu not amazing and breakfast on Saturday wasn't great, so much so I don't bother eating Sunday.
Biggest issue was having the rear of my truck broken into and tools stolen. My truck was facing the hotel as well.
I hope to hear back from the manager with CCTV footage, although he didn't take my name or ask for my room number.
3.2
Unfortunately we had 2 people shouting, swearing and fighting outside our room at 2 am until about 4am , not a great night sleep , and not a great deal of help from the hotel staff
