If you are looking for a fun enjoyable trip for your family and friends, DO NOT stay at Tesoro. Terrible customer service. You were not allowed to have any food or drinks in the pool area. My husband was told to take off his shirt in the pool because it wasn't one that was used for sun protection. We were constantly watched when we were at the pool, we felt like we were back in grade school.
They also give out day passes to residents for the pool, so it was always full.
They have ONE restaurant for their "all inclusive" package that had terrible food. My family didn't eat there one time. It closes multiple times during the day, so it wasn't even an option half the time.
The only good thing about this place is they cleaned our room daily.
We were even told by the locals who provided our excursions that this was a terrible hotel and to never stay here.
Horrible experience. Do not go here.

The entire staff was beyond wonderful. Every staff member that I encountered was friendly and helpful. Many of them doing hard jobs, working long days, and their attitudes were excellent.
We arrived a little early and we’re put in Villa 13. The beachfront location was great, but the Villa was old and not well maintained. The hot water wasn’t hot, and the water pressure was only enough to use 1 bathroom at s time, even though we paid for 2. We spoke to the staff at the front desk about it, and they immediately sent a maintenance man over. He was able to turn up the temperature on the undersized water heater, but basically told us that he couldn’t do anything about the pressure. We were a group of 6, and there were other issues, so my wife and her sister, again, spoke to the front desk. This time they agreed to move us to a better unit. Villa 10. It was much better. Overall is was definitely satisfactory.
The buffet food with the all inclusive package was good. In fact the best I’ve ever had at an all inclusive resort. The dining room staff worked so hard to make sure that all guests were fed well and on time.
Again, I can’t say enough good things about the wonderful staff. Despite the facilities being dated, and problems at Villa 13, it was overall a pretty good stay.

Customer service was bad. The bed was dirty and I asked to get new sheets and they said it would be a fee for new sheets. Never returning again

You get what you pay for. It’s probably worth paying more for a different place. Don’t recommend

The food was surprisingly very good and the highlight of the stay, The hotel itself has seen better days (dirty floors, mold on lamps, broken wall plugs) another downside was the service of the staff as we had to ask for 2 days for new sets of towels before they finally brought them.

Hotel areas did not look very clean. Beverages were of very bad quality and some food seemed not in very good stated or prepared. And last but not least, staff not friendly nor helpful.

Everything about the Tesoro was mediocre at best. Except for the staff! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Limited English but hey, we're in Mexico. Otherwise, the pool area was small and crowded, the food wasn't great and the rooms were very clean but not nicely appointed. The general impression was, the Tesoro had an idea what a resort needed but sort of phoned it in. Not quite up to par. Spend about $100 more per night and get a much better experience.

The wait staff and hotel workers are absolutely the best! They go above and beyond to make you feel important. Now for the food in the main dining area... absolutely terrible! Quality, POOR, options, POOR, taste, POOR and choices, POOR. We basically went out to eat every night!

We were lucky enough to get a junior suite. Room and balcony were very nice. Unfortunately we were only there for 1 night. The food and drinks were average. Unfortunately they have basic drinks they make. Most were not to our taste. Example tequila sunrise. There's would be a tequila splash, mixed all together.

No coffee available until 7 am. Shower in room not good. Long lines at pool bar. No one at omelet station when breakfast opened. Staff was good.

The property is safe, clean, and the beds are nice. The food was okay but the variety could have been a bit better. Mostly it was the same every day...not terrible, but then not "to die for"...
If don't enjoy small children be warned if school is out there will be quite a few.

The room was very nice, but the food was very limited. There was not that much selection on the buffet and very crowded. There was always a line just to be seated at the buffet that would take almost 30min. The pool was overcrowded and to be able to get an umbrella with chair you had to be at the pool by 7am.

We had an upgrade of the room and that was great. But This one is our first All inclusive hotel with no minibar at the room just water 👎

Property was nice, no notice that main buffet closed for renovations, and nothing in English, all announcements and entertainment all in Spanish. Would not return

Worst place I've been to so far! It is hot inside the property, staff are way too slow at check in. Nobody greets/welcomes you nor do they help you get your luggage to your room. They dont show you around the facility. Drinks are terrible and not much to choose from. Lunch and dinner are the same, not much variety at the buffet. They serve you the fries and only give you about 5 fries at a time, regardless if you're an adult or a child. Absolutely no cotton near the pool or they will ask you to stay away from the pool. Made reservations for dinner and never got the dessert. No waiters at beach cabanas to offer drinks either. They also have very few towels at the pool. Not enough for everyone so they wont allow towels being taken to the rooms. Never coming back to this place and would not recommend to anyone. There are better places out there to choose from.

If you have kids, large family and vacationing on a budget, this is the place for you. There is nothing calm or private about this property. The property offers WI-FI with your all inclusive package but the signal only reaches the first floor and some of the windows/rooms surrounding the main lobby (the hotel needs to invest on improving signal if they are going to offer this service). The property should also limit the amount of drinks at the bar and discontinue the use of plastic cups, families approach the bar with 3 to 6 cups at one time, making the experience for other guests sitting at the bar uncomfortable. Staff is great. Thank you Dennis for all of your help!

I like how the ocean is wide open and we were able to enjoy it. The Hotel is close to the center. What u didn’t like was the room they gave us. Not clean I asked to give me another room they weren’t able to give me one until the next day.

The staff was friendly and really tried to make things better for our party of 6 after a very disappointing 4 days out of our 11 day stay.
The pool area is over ran with kids. Staff allows them to play on the stairs into the pool making it difficult to enter and exit the pool.

Mexican charm! Luis, and all staff are so helpful, friendly & go out of there way to please. We love the staff, they are our family now after 14 years going back to the Tesoro. Mexican food is traditional, on a beautiful long beach, nice pool area, walking distance to everything in Ixtapa. Taxi, Bus to Zihu. close by. Security guard 24/7 very safe place to be. Good place to learn Spanish.

Hotel inclusive, not customer all inclusive , they do not stock mini fridge with alcoholic beverages so that means if i want to relax in my room I have to constantly get out , go to lobby bar and go back up to my room! Down ramp to pool bathrooms made of tile???!!!! 8 stiches later on my knee when the ramp is wet and slipped! I would think they would of known better to have a non slippery ramp for customers bathroom! Buffet was hit or miss, they serve you portions like they need to account for others and dont have enough, lobby restaurant was always at least a half and hour late to open, I unfortunately would never return,ever..

This place was great! We were treated so kindly and any question we had was answered pleasantly. The staff was the best part, waiters & waitresses were phenomenal!

Customer service at check in and out was horrible and rude. Except for the night manager, I think his name was Jaime. He was very cordial and welcoming. The room looked outdated and unclean. The food was also mediocre. I was expecting a better selection. Especially, seafood. They only had 1 plate with fish nothing else available.

Muy buen hotel. El personal es muy atento y amable con los huéspedes. El lugar está en muy buenas condiciones. La comida está rica pero creo que podrían mejor la calidad. En general creo que es un buen lugar para pasar unas vacaciones en familia.
