I called the night before my arrival and was told that I would have to walk from the bus station to the hotel. It was not easy as uphill and I had two bags. When i arrived ( rather hot amd bothered), the receptionists said I should have called them to pick me up! Once checked in, I called reception three times and room service (there is no mini bar) and no k e picked up. I was told the phone system was not working (although they did get it operating). Electric sockets in hotel were not standard and required an special adapter/extension cord that I had to acquire about. It worked at the beginning, but could not charge my iphone in the morning. Service at Breakfast table was utilitarain..never asked if I wanted a hot dish. Had the hotel drive me back to train station, but had carry my bags down a flight of stairs and to the car, as the driver walked in front of me. Otherwise, the service was efficient, but certainly not friendly. I will go elsewhere next time

Room condition and the view from terrace was fantastic. And the restaurant on first floor was also definitely what I would recommend. The waiter and waitress were a bit clumsy with their service though, overall I would stay this hotel again!

Very good hotel in a beautiful valley. Comfortable stay. Nice breakfast.
What I didn’t like about this place that it’s 31 km from Interlaken which approximately 1 hours drive. Secondly, it’s not a tourist spot but quite beautiful and relaxing place.

Fantastic view, sofisticated design, perfect spa, delicious food.. there's nothing to be complained. I've missing this hotel already.

Area is perfect for views and hiking. Hotel is a real modern classic setting. Room for single person a bit small but what needed. View on back against road, but by staying in the spa area and in lobby, view is perfect.
Well built and designed. One big wish is for softer towels!

Everyone in the hotel was kind and friendly.
It is a very expensive hotel, but we booked very early so we could stay cheaply.
The facility had its own speciality, and the hotel has a very good view because it is located a bit high. The spa, swimming pool and sauna facilities are not large, but people are not crowded, so you can enjoy a quiet and cozy holiday than other famous resorts.
I was able to feel the charm of Adelboden for 3 days thanks to this hotel. It is a very impressive hotel and I would like to go again.

From arrival to departure, service was exemplary - friendly and attentive, yet in no way patronizing. The town of Adelboden itself is exquisite, with incredible scenery at all sides, and to be thoroughly recommended. It is quintessentially Swiss, yet -oddly enough - not 'touristy'.
The room was to expectation, and the views from the balcony stunning.
We had breakfast and dinner at the hotel. Breakfast - taken either inside or on the terrace in full view of the mountains - was the complete buffet that only the Swiss and Germans can do so well - fresh rolls and bread, muesli, meats, cheeses, eggs - its all there in a huge buffet, along with the appropriate coffees.
Dinner was to be lingered over. Again, service impeccable, and I would strongly encourage adherence to their 'set menu', for which the chef daily seeks to outdo himself. Small courses of well prepared and well complimented food, eaten to the sound of the piano player (who seems to play continuously during the afternoon and evening) make the dining experience a delight.
Parking is easy, and the hotel staff went out of their way to get orientate us to our surroundings, giving us free passes to all cable cars, museums etc.

We loved the place as a whole, the location, service, food, etc. The beds were very comfy, the view was magnificent, and the spa was awesome. My only negatives even though I rated it all 5s was the hills to get up where a little icey and hard to walk on, and there was no jacuzzi or cold plunge pool in the spa. But these are just minor items in the grand scheme of things, and the place was worth the money and time to get there. I love Adelboden and look forward to going back again in the future.
