The hotel does not meet the standards of a 5-star property. We were initially drawn in by the photos on the listing and their website, but the reality didn’t quite match. That said, the staff went above and beyond to make our stay as pleasant as possible. Special thanks to Maria and her manager for their exceptional service. Excellent staff and great service overall, but unfortunately, the hotel itself doesn’t qualify as 5-star.
5.0
Very convenient and easy walking to main area
2.5
nicw hotel, centrally located, taxis right on front, helpful attendants. Needs to improve in terms of the restaurant, which was closed. The cafeteria has a simple menu, not enough selection, and expensive prices.
4.0
Staff can be more helpful
2.5
Excellent service, very nice property and beautiful views of the Palace and Parthenon.
Parking available about 2 blocks away.
Pool available at a gym that the hotel has an agreement with.

Great location! 5 minutes walking distance to all the shopping, Monastariki, and restaurants. 15 min walk to Acropolis. Great communication with hotel for transportation from airport prior to arrival.
Rooms are roomy, comfortable and clean.

We had an amazing time at NJV Athens, Plaza. This is our second time staying at the hotel and it has been nothing short of extraordinary.
4.0
Great, a little outdated but staff are very friendly. Breakfast selection is not bad. Only two lifts servicing which is sometimes inconvenient. Location is perfect.

Bathroom sink left knob came apart every time we turned water on. Old hotel but decent price and very good location

Unsure if some of the rooms and areas of the hotel have undergone renovations recently but the dining hall for the breakfast buffet and my room were certainly looking very dated and had many signs of wear and tear.
The breakfast buffet was average at best, wouldn’t recommend paying extra for it. You’re better off leaving the hotel and going into Plaka or other surrounding areas for better and less expensive food.
The room itself has seen better days. The bathroom had a lot of rust marks on the shower wall near the hand rail, one of the lights was missing the finishing cap so it was all exposed, etc. Just not the attention to detail I would expect from a 5-star hotel.
That said, the staff were amazing. Everyone from the guest service attendants to the front desk and housekeeping were all extremely wonderful.

The hotel was conveniently located and the staff was so friendly. We had just come in from an overnight flight and they let us check in early so we could rest!

Room was lovely nd the location for walking excellent

Right from start they didn’t listen to my request to use 2 cards one for each room then I ended getting 3 charges on same card. Asked about transportation and they didn’t seem to know. Overall won’t stay there again.

We were able to extend our stay and stay till 4 PM for a fee. Allowing us to get some much-needed rest after long travel.

We noticed there are bugs in our headboard. Then we saw cockroaches around us. Immediately we looked at the headboard, there were many bugs with eggs hacking. We packed our stuff and went to the registration desk. They moved us to a different room. The next morning, we had 40-50 bed bug bites on our body and neck. It is one of the worst hotels. It was so dirty. DO NOT STAY THERE! They are telling us will refund the money but the damage is so severe. We suffered from all these bed bugs during our whole trip in Greece and Istanbul. DO NOT STAY THERE!

It’s a dated hotel, renovation should be done, love the location walking distance to many areas.

We stayed in this property on the way in and out of Athene. I will recommend it to anyone who goes to Athene. Rooms are wonderful and the staff is super friendly. They addressed all my questions even prior to our stay via email. Don't forget to try Greek coffee and fruit platter in the lobby.
5.0
Wonderful, clean and convenient, close to the center of the town. Staff will arrange everything you need, from pick up to tours. Try the greek coffee and cut fruits in the lobby cafe! If possible ask for a room with a view of acropolis, in higher floors. The rooms are very roomy and large considering European standards. Overall very, very good.

All was great, however it needs to be updated, the bathrooms are in desperate need of renovation.

Is a great location just at the entrance of Plaka, you can walk everywhere and staff is great!!! Large bedroom confortable pillows which are always a big PLUS for us.

Upgraded to a suite with 3 beds. Comfortable beds and courteous staff. staff arranged a driver to Temple of Poseidon. Appreciated that. Hotel was centrally located. Their cocktails and food were a disappointment, however.

Excellent place to stay

While some rooms have been renovated they are not ‘up to’ a 5 star standard. They are about 3 star. The building is run down and grubby. I was very disappointed as the reviews were incorrect. I would never stay in this shabby hotel again.

It was wonderful from the moment I left my cab to the time I entered a new one. The service was top notch. I wish I had stayed her the entire time I was in Athens.

Service and staff were great. Hotel is very centrally located- lots of restaurants and sites within walking distance. Hotel building itself is nice but not extraordinary. Be aware- no on-site parking

Staff was professional friendly and always available to help. Bathroom could be nicer/updated. Otherwise the room was beautiful and it was a great location.

Great location. Carpet in room was old, tired and dirty looking. Bathroom could be cleaner, lotion bottle looked used. Water from shower splashed everywhere soaking floors. Lobby was beautiful but room very dated. Breakfast was good.
