Friendly staff! Very easy going. There was some trash laying around outside but it seemed to be from bad guests. I see a bright future, I understand there is new ownership/management. Would definitely stay again, needs some repairs but I believe the new caretakers will get it under control soon enough.

I do not recommend, even for the price. It’s super dirty, run down, a bit sketchy, definitely long term tenants, not at all like pictures.

There was drug activity in the parking lot, filthy room, no hand towels it washclothes available, 2 lights were burned out, remote control didn't work, and a beeping steady from the dishwasher that was annoying. There was loud voices in thd room a few down the hall i could hear in my room as well. I let them knos at the front desk and he said he couldnt do anythjng about it but move me to a different room. So he did that but it was also very dirty and stained carpets that were dirty. Not a sage hotel and I left an hour after arriving because I just wasnt comfortable staying there nor did I feel my vehicle was safe in tge parking lot.

Poor excuse for a hotel. Felt more like a homeless shelter. Dirty, smells, rooms are in rough condition, no towels in the room, no garbage bag in the waste bucket, linen was old and in rough shape. Spend an extra $10-$20 and stay somewhere better. Hotels.com should kick them off the website. Never again

Not worth the stay ar all. It looks this hotel is hosting people for long term and not ahort term. The bathroom water kept running all night. The haveold in the room that probably been there for a while. Not worth the stay, especially if you have kids.

Over all I enjoyed my stay. The water pressure in the shower was awesome. Though, I think the AC in the room we stayed in needs service or replacement. Room 345. It just kept making the room more and more humid. We soon realized it was cooler outside than in, shut it off and opened the windows. I loved that we could open the windows. Related to the increasing humidity, the sort of air diverter thing on top of the AC had a considerable amount of black mold growing on and in it. I guess the plastic could be stained and un-cleanable, but it looks like it could be cleaned and someone tried at some point. Probably needs some disassembly to clean effectively.
The most bothersome thing about that room was that the exterior building lights shined out the bottom of the curtains in the bedroom and the brightness made it difficult for me to sleep. I could not figure out a way to block the light. Having the blackout curtain be substantially longer could help I bet.

The rooms are great, and the staff was great. Always people hanging around the parking lot, so it did not feel overly safe to me returning to room at night.

Very nice stay just never had anyone refresh my towels or sheets and there were people who liked to hangout in the front who didn’t seem to be staying there after 8pm. Room was very clean and all amenities worked.

The property is tired and worn. The furniture is worn. The doors don’t fit or close properly. The halls were filled with trash. There was a target shopping cart in the hall. The exterior doors were not operating properly. Only the main entrance was fit for use. The hotel public areas were uncomfortably warm with no or poor air conditioning. The hotel public area smelt of trash and cigarette smoke. The staff was exhibiting strong I hate this job attitude. The room smelt horribly of cigarette smoke. There’s tons of no smoking signs eveywhere but the place stinks. The carpet is extremely worn, stained and nasty.

One of the front counter staff was very rude and bad service. They need to be trained on how to do better service to customers. I get that it’s a lower price compared to other hotels but at least be professional manners to customers in any situation. I do not recommend anybody stay in Sonesta!

I chose this hotel brand because it came highly recommended by a friend who has stayed at the Edina location. I came down from Fargo, ND to work at the State Fair and I wanted a hotel room with a kitchen so I wouldn't have to eat out for every meal.
I do want to say that everyone that I've spoken with at the front desk has been helpful and has done their best to fix things quickly, even maintenance. It's just that there were too many issues for the amount of money that I've paid to stay here.
Hotel issues:
-No turntable in the microwave (front desk provided one when mentioned)
-Dishwasher has no cap where the soap goes (thankfully I bought pods and can kind of shove it in there)
-No glass in the bottom shelf of the fridge, so the drawers are just open on the top
-No plug for the kitchen sink/disposal (I bought one at Walmart for $2)
-My first set of towels REAKED of cigarette smoke
-My room hasn't been cleaned since I got there, even though I left the card on the door handle (my garbage is overflowing)
-My bathroom sink started draining slowly after 4 days
-Toilet overflowed on day 6
-Only 2 working washing machines and 3 working dryers
-Toilet still plugged on day 8
-Elevator out of order on day 8
-Toilet fixed and room finally cleaned on day 8
-Toilet is plugged again today (Friday 8/30)
-There were no security measures to keep non-guests from entering the hotel: no key required to get into the building, and the side door to the patio was propped open.

The deadbolt on my door did not work. Someone opened my door at 1:30 in the morning. I called the front desk and was told that my room showed available in the system. The bathroom door would not close. The A/C made a loud noise, so I had to turn it off. There were cobwebs on the light fixtures. The room was over all dirty. The carpets in the hall were stained and torn. There were people smoking right in front of the entrance. There was no bedding for the pull-out couch. I did not feel safe! DO NOT STAY AT THIS PLACE!!!

There were multiple people drinking in the parking lot. Heard one fight/scuffle outside during our 1 night stay.
When we entered to room there were no towels in the bathroom or blankets on the bed.
The front desk staff was accommodating and got what was missing for us quickly.

Dont bother making a reservation at this place, they wont honour it, or just cancel it
Hotel was dirty, wet dirty towels next to the entrance of the room was welcoming, not very good service with the staff, just not a great hotel

First room we wwre booked into was disgusting. Smelled like an ash tray....cigarette burn holes all over the carpet.
We asked to be moved. First attempt was met with a non working door handle. Second attempt was slightly better.....but entire floor 3rd floor smelled like weed all weekend. (Better than cigs i guess) Hostess explained that new owners had taken over.
Ownership doesnt seem to be bothered with how dirty the hotel and grounds are. Rooms are outdated and disgusting. I WOULD NOT recommend this hotel to anyone.

We checked out an hour after we checked in. The hotel isn’t remotely as nice as it looks in the pictures online. It was dingy and dim and didn’t feel safe. We are asking Expedia for a Refund.

This place is horribly ran and I am in the process of filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. The reservation I had was set for me to pay when I arrive and I canceled because of the quality of the facility and lack of cleanliness. The general manager assured me that I would be refunded but they charged my card and refuse to refund my money.

Horrible, DONT STAY AT THE SONESTA.
There was trash thrown randomly in the hallways, Sonesta Simple Suites, is a haven for drugs and is very dirty!! We could not open the room door as it had been damaged due to a break-in attempt. We found a new place to stay and did not stay in the hotel. We were told they would reimburse our room, but we are still waiting for their promised reimbursement. It was a horrible experience! The Sonesta deserves a negative number rating..... should not be on Holtes.com.

You get what you pay for. This was the cheapest hotel near the airport without terrifying reviews, but the price explained itself after we arrived.
To be clear, once we were settled, we had a perfectly adequate stay, but the Ritz this is not.
We arrived close to midnight, but the front desk was unstaffed and we had to call toward the back for someone to emerge. Check-in was fine but when we reached out room, it smelled as thought it were an active smoking-allowed room. To non-smokers like us, the stench was absolutely disgusting. We are not whiners or extra sensitive -- it was bad.
We requested a new room and the new one smelled fine.
The walls of this hotel are falling apart in places. Sections of carpet are ripped and coming up. Much of the halls had dirt or other debris. In general, the place is just in very bad shape, as though they are just scraping by.
On the bright side, our second room was tidy and the bed was quite comfortable. The dinette was pretty good and would have been nice if we had a longer stay.
For a place to flop, with some new carpets and no smoke smells, this would have gotten 3-4 stars.
For $40-50 more per night, you could do much better.

The front desk staff were really nice and efficient especially the two I saw the most often they kicked butt.

Very dirty throughout the hotel. We have stayed at this hotel previously under different ownership and it was much nicer.
TV remote did not work, bedside lamps with burnt out bulbs, laundry was out of order, no blankets available, building side entrance access was broken, no ice. Staff was useless.

The property was filthy, broken down property. I had no place else to go or I would not have stayed and they would not refund my money. Garbage everywhere. Nothing was as listed and the room was nothing like the pictures. Don’t ever stay here.
2.0
Property has not been maintained, e.g., bathroom sink faucet was loose. Room key cards work poorly--I had to insert mine 6 to 9 times to unlock the door. Staff not very helpful--getting a late check-out time is difficult.

Property not maintained well.

I understand that I was there on a weekend, and staffing is hard to find. I was not pleased to see bags of trash lying in the hallways when I arrived on Sunday. They disappeared on Monday, and a woman ran the vacuum in the halls on Monday. There was police presence both when I checked in and when I checked out on Tuesday morning early. I believe someone scratched my rental car but it was not a huge scratch, but I noticed it. The parking lot had a lot of trash in it. It hasn't been swept in a while. But the price was low, and that was why I stayed there. I had to return to the desk because my first key did not work.

Felt very unsafe. Doors propped open for anyone to enter building. Key to my room took several tries to work and had to replace key 3 times.

We endedup being moved to a different room after desk clerk tried 3 times to get door to room unlocked without success through nofault of his own. Room did no have proper supplies available

Worst hotel experience ever. Hotels.com description woefully inaccurate. No convenience area-empty. No food of any kind available on site. No exercise items in the fitness area work. Waited 15 minutes for the young check in clerk to finish her cigarette out front and another 10 for the same after we were checked into a dirty room. This is a run down place renting to locals by the week and month. It smells and it’s unkept. Security guard T the desk. I’m doing everything in my power to get a refund.
