It’s clean enough, just a bit funky-smelling. There was no one at the desk when I arrived, and the man waiting in the lobby said i was the man before me had had to wait a half hour for service. There was a phone on the counter, but the instructions were not put out until the guy came back 10 minutes later. He was not friendly at all, but got the job done. And there were no towels in the room, so I had to go back to the empty desk to get some. No biggie, just inconvenient. Girl at checkout was much more pleasant

I had a terrible experience at this hotel. Upon arrival, 19 October 2024, on Saturday ,we were left waiting outside in the rain for 15 minutes because no one opened the door. When we finally got inside, I was given a key card for room 223, only to find out that there was already someone staying in that room – it was a huge shock!
I returned to the reception, where the night staff gave me another key card for room 202. I had booked a room with a king bed, but was instead given one with two queen beds. When I raised my concerns, the staff member was dismissive and didn’t seem to care at all.
To make matters worse, the room was not clean, yet I was still charged $125 for the night. The overall service was incredibly unprofessional, and I left feeling frustrated and upset with how everything was handled. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

We check-in late at night. Basically, the room was dim, carpet was not vacuumed, dust and scum around the edge behind the desk, sofa, and bedside. There was nothing more than five mini muffins, ten slides of white and wheat bread. When other customers asked about any more items of breakfast, the staff said that's it with poor attitude. This will be the first and the last time we will stay at this motel

The hotel was very smelly and dirty. The rooms carpet was stained and dirty. Pet friendly, yes had to remove the two spiders on the wall.
On the go breakfast, toast and jam no butter? I would have to say Wyndham should send an Inspector to visit.

We booked and paid online. When we arrived the attendant said we were checked in but to wait a minute and did not give us keys. It took 30 mins for the attendant to give us our keys. The hotel is dirty, breakfast option was a loaf of white bread, yogurt & a couple apples. Ran out of coffee, counters, window sills, tables etc all dirty. Stains on floor in room, 5 plugins didn’t work for CPAP breathing machine. TERRIBLE service, dirty carpets throughout hotel, staff that didn’t care. Will NEVER STAY AT THIS HOTEL EVER again.

We had screaming kid . After 10 pm. Someone knocking doors all night. Someone opened our door. We have the safety lock. When we got there. My daughter had to look for the reception person. We waited 15 minutes before she found someone. There is no person most of the time at the front. Bathroom was dirty. The bathtub and toilet clean. Walls diry. Poop marks next to the toilets paper. One shampoo for 3 people. One bath towel, one hand towel and two face cloth for 3 people. Breakfast. A joke. No coffee. Not worth the money. No cereal. Made complaints to super 8 company.

I was moved to a room on the first floor and the bed was broken, the tv and fridge didn’t work, the shampoo and hand lotion were used. There was no safety lock on the door. It felt like the room had been ready for repairs and then brought back into service. I asked for the bed to be fixed the first night and it was not. I asked the next day and again not fixed. The final night the bed was adjusted however as soon as you sat on the bed, it collapsed again. It felt like the box spring was broken completely. I spent three of four nights on a warped broken bed. I had to replug in the tv and fridge.

First Super 8 terrible experience. Toilet not working, have to call and approach staff multiple time to address the issue. Second time that the toilet did not work, nobody came to fix it. Barely anything served for breakfast. Bread was hard, due to long exposure to air. No staff can be seen onsite nor the front desk. Terrible smell!

We stayed in a double queen room which was nice & roomy.
Check in was reasonably easy and parking a breeze.
Beds were comfortable.
Breakfast was basic but OK...Not much room in kitchen so not all guests can eat at the same time.

We were road weary and just looking for a roof over our head. Convenient location and modest price made this a good choice. It seriously needs an update but was clean and comfortable and lots of room. We were on the road early next morning with coffee and breakfast sandwiches from a neighboring 24 hour drive through.

This hotel should be redone or destroyed. It is very dirty, rugs stained with big marks in the hall ways and rooms are terribly dirty. We actually slept in our clothes that night as were afraid of what the bed held. Upon arrival the room wasn't ready at 6 pm and then the desk clerk was mad at us for even suggesting another room on the main floor. Told us impossible so finally got a room after some problems. Going to our room was almost impossible as well, as cleaning carts were just left in the middle of the hallways and was hard to get around them with luggage. Would have left the hotel but we were extremely tired after driving for hours. Will never ever stay in this hotel again and will suggest no one else does until it is cleaned up.

Our room was open and unlocked upon entering, beds were both dirty, looked as though they hadn’t been changed, terrible smell. Bathroom floor was concrete, towels were dirty and had black hair on everything. If we weren’t just looking to lay our heads for 4 hours while traveling, we wouldn’t have stayed!

Upon check in, the staff member was rude. He didn't say more to us than "credit card and id". We did not feel welcome at all. The room was very dated, bathroom floor peeling, sink cracked, dog hair on the bed sheets and blankets. Will never stay here again and would not recommend.

Clean and comfortable rooms, fair price for the services, great location with restaurants and bars around.

1st our key opened another room. The answer." They all do that."
No toilet paper on roll in bathroom. Cob webs in corners in the bathroom.
Sheets were itchy. Proper lockes on doors would be nice. Had to hold door open with a rick, because there was no swipe lock.

This is an old property and it shows. The beds were great but….
The bathtub didn’t drain properly, the were numerous stains on the walls and in the chair. As well the air conditioning pumped moisture into the room. So much so that the carpet and bedding felt wet.
Too bad as it’s a great location with a really nice restaurant nearby. I’ll find another hotel next time I’m in Salmon Arm.

No towels in rooms, had to go get them at the front. Room was not that clean, lots of stains etc..
Otherwise your typical budget motel.

It was what we needed for a night. We had to ask for towels when we got there but we were always getting in late. The shower curtain was a bit dirty and one lamp didn’t work. But otherwise it was fine!

We had a bad experience with our overnight stay. It took a while for the staff to check us in and we were wondering if our room was really ready then he had to mention, they had to make sure our sheets were changed so when we went to our room, they forgot to put pillows on one bed and the sheets were stained not even made properly with hairs on it. We had to sleep on top of the bed and we did not bother complaining as we arrived late at night already. Then morning came, breakfast was unbelievably bad that the rest who were there were also complaining despite it’s only 7:30 a.m, not much choices and the staff don’t even bother to refill.

This property requires a lot of rehabilitation. It’s astonishing that we paid the amount that we did for the overall experience. It is understaffed and there is very little attention to detail regarding every aspect of management - checkout/checkin presence, odors, “free breakfast”, cleanliness of rooms and basic performance of appliances. Wyndham or Super 8 needs to intervene here, as this franchise is a failure.

Dear Manager,
I am absolutely appalled by my recent stay at the Super 8 by Wyndham in Salmon Arm from August 31st to September 1st. From the moment we entered the room, we were met with an unbearable stench that was so foul and dirty, we couldn’t even tolerate being inside for more than five minutes. The lack of proper lighting—only a single dim table lamp—made matters even worse. We were forced to keep the window open all night just to breathe, despite the cold temperatures outside.
The bathroom situation was no better. The smell was disgusting, and the toilet took an excruciating 30 seconds to flush, which I have documented in video. To top it off, the bathtub drain plug wouldn’t stay up, causing the water to flood the tub. We had to manually hold it up with our fingers while trying to bathe, which is completely unacceptable.
When we finally tried to go to bed, we discovered weird spots on the bedsheets, which left us feeling extremely uncomfortable. We had no choice but to use our own clothes as makeshift bedding.
As if that wasn’t enough, breakfast the next morning was a joke. Arriving at 9:00 AM, we found just two pieces of bread and some coffee. After asking for more bread, we were flat-out denied, which was incredibly disappointing. To make matters worse, when we returned after 15 minutes, we saw a fr

Decent hotel with a comfy bed and clean rooms. It is a bit older but they do look like they’re upgrading/renovating. Good middle of the road hotel.

Hotel was dirty, had garbage left from previous guests. Walls and carpets were visibly stained and dirty. Mold around the tub. Shower didn’t drain. Room keys constantly stopped working, had to keep going to front desk. Very noise from outside traffic. But when everything said and done, the staff clam that I hadn’t addressed any of this stuff to them when I had spoken to them about these concerns throughout the stay.

There were giant ants inside my room. When I told the hotel staff they said nothing could be done. Guests registration forms with signatures, license plates and personal information were left on the counter unattended. Salmon Arm hotels are all overpriced in general because there are not enough workers in town. I stayed in Calgary a 4 star hotel which costed me less than this gross and dirty full of bugs Super 8 in Salmon Arm.

Breakfast was horrible, there was very limited food. Asked for butter for the toast and was told butter is too expensive because they have to but individual packages so they are not providing butter.

Floor and walls were filthy, stained carpets in hallway. Windows and glass doors were filthy. Bed was okay, room was okay. Bathroom light took a few minutes before any light came on. I would not stay again there. I also wouldn’t recommend it.

I was travelling alone and I arrived at this property at around 10:15 pm due to a very long wet stressful drive on the Coquihalla Highway and construction along the way When I got to the hotel there was no one at the desk but there was a sign there saying if needing assistance to pick up the provided phone to speak to someone. I did this and the phone rang a few times and then a recording came on saying that the cell phone that it was trying to call had not initiated the answering feature. I also tapped on the bell that was sitting at the desk but no one came. By this time I was starting to panic because it was late and I had no idea what I was going to do for a place to stay for the night. By this time I had been waiting for around 30 minutes for someone to come to the desk.
Finally a young man came to the desk with cell phone in hand. He sat down and asked what name the reservation was under, meanwhile answering text messages that sounding on his cell phone and then answering his cell phone at the same time.
Not much conversation was happening between him and I at this point as he was just too busy! I did manage to ask him about the difference in my reservation rate and the rate that I was being charged and his response was that since I had made the reservation with Expedia that I would have to take it up wth them. I have so much more to say, I would like someone to contact me

We stayed two nights… On the first night we discovered the microwave was in operable, and the fridge was not turned on and mouldy on the inside. Additionally, the area around the tub looks like it hadn’t been cleaned in sometime. There are carpet stains in the room and in the hallways. When we return for our second nights stay, our electronic key would not work and it had to be reprogrammed however, this was resolved without hesitation… However, after entering the room, we discovered that it had not been tended to. The bed was left unmade we did not receive any fresh towels or coffee, refills, or glasses. I had to ask in person at the front desk for refills because the phone in the room was not working. When I asked for coffee cups, I was told to walk to the kitchen and get my own.
