Great location in a very contemporary style

Nice hotel, but a bit outdated and dirty on the floor

Room service for a couple of coffees and some juice was over an hour. The toilet was in the middle of the room with glass partition.

Great stay. Super good service. Especially the doorman

Facilitating us with our room at 10am was much appreciated and made a big difference to our day

Always pleasant staff clean and tidy hotel

Eight-day beautiful experience in a centrally located hotel on a quiet street with easy walking access to the city attractions. Clean and spacious rooms with friendly staff

Fantastic hotel. 3rd time staying there this year.

Put us in a room type we had not booked (twin instead of double). Didn’t tell us this at check in. When we got to the room and call reception to ask to move to the room type we booked were told ‘Oh yes, I forgot to mention that when you checked in, we have not other rooms, but I’m sure you’ll like that one’
Terrible customer experience
2.5
We had a friendly and warm welcome from the receptionist with the room being ready early and exactly as described

A Good experience, which started slowly due to being given the wrong room number, but once we got past this, it got progressively better.
An interesting and quirky room layout, but with everything you need. Although you could do with somewhere to hang your towel whilst having a shower!
Breakfast, which was included, and was very good, with plenty of choice and I'd recommend the full English breakfast!
Generally a good stay.
2.5
Amazing experience. Everyone there makes you feel very welcome and comfortable during the entirety of the stay.
Rooms are clean, spacious, and overall very nice.
The food is excellent as well.

The hotel was perfectly located, easy to walk around and close to subway stations. We went there for a weekend vacation for our wedding anniversary and the hotel even gifted a bottle of prosecco for our special occasion. Highly reccomended, will definitely revisit soon.

The hotel doesn't deserve the 5 stars:
- You hear everything from the neighbors.
- No privacy in the room as the toilet and shower are only separated by a glass and curtain. Not recommended with family.
- Beds that are way too small
- No storage space
- Small things like toothbrushes/cotton pads etc are missing
- Service is very slow
All in all would not recommend it for this price and quality.

Check in very slow as attendant was new employee on her own as the experienced agent kept stepping away. Had a problem taking a cc deposit then getting my room key ready. She really should not have been left on her own.
On 2 of the 5 mornings despite the privacy sign outside the cleaner without knocking opening our door then apologies as she left.i asked for room away from lift and room was behind d lift which was fine but it was right next door to cleaner storage area so we were awoken early every morning as they went back and forth to this storage area. Finally on last there there was event taking place in room near reception (pool table room) - as a result there was lot of voice noise from 8am I assume outside entrance to hotel as attendees arrived and chatted

Insulation. Insufficient storage in room

Good but older property.

I had never heard of the Sanderson but decided to give them a try, and was very glad I did. The interiors are very fun, and unexpected. The bed was comfy, and the tub in the deluxe king (why I booked the room) was great and perfect after long runs and walks. The staff was friendly and prompt. The gym even had a Pilates machine. Wifi was super fast, and it’s an easy walk to the Tube.

The hotel is sad and tired looking. Definitely not five star standard - perhaps it was once but today it is in desperate need of refurbishment.

The Sanderson is a wonderful private oasis nestled within bustling London streets perfect for dining, shopping and entertainment. Beautifully designed, lovely rooms and very kind and thoughtful staff. Highly recommend staying for business or leisure trips.

A nice quirky design hotel with a good balcony in the suite rooms. Nice bar and good breakfast.

Hotel was tired looking. One elevator was not working so wait to get up and down from room could be fairly long. Room was nice but also showing signs of needing updating.

They made me wait for hours to check in. The room had stains on the furniture.

A bit run down. The hallways are very dark-kind of creepy. I felt a bit uncomfortable as a woman traveling alone. But I have to say that the staff was extremely friendly and professional.
5.0
The property has a great location. Walkable to all the restaurants and shopping areas. The hotel is very charming, elegant with good food. Although the rooms are nice, they need some updates but overall was a nice stay. Stuff was always very nice!
1.5
No upgrade or early check in, platinum perks only given for one dinner not all food. Receptions not the friendliest, TV didn’t work, water runs all down wall in bathroom and loads of noise through walls.
Disappointed

Great hotel

The Hotel could be so much better with a few small tweaks.
* the staff are uninterested/rude (the staff that are friendly are minimal) i feel like when you spend a lot on a weekend stay you want to be made to feel special, Unfortunately i was made to feel like a number on a conveyor belt.
* the bed was incredibly hard and uncomfortable
* the decor was dated and a tired
*the price of avacado on toast should never be £30 anywhere! Dont treat your guests like a captive audience
I definitely wont be running back to stay and wont be recommending to friends wanting to stay in London.
It ashame, its just the staff! Just be friendly and warm. Its simple

The rooms are modern but the corridors without lights look like as if you are at some shady hotel

Service was top notch. Shiv made our visit so special and it felt like a luxury stay

Always like it here and the staff are always nice

We did find the reception staff a little unfriendly sadly, maybe a bad moment! It was a little too much glitz & glamour for our personal taste.

Stayed at this hotel a number of times, friendly staff & a nice calming feel as you enter the lobby.
One lift was out of action so had a little longer to wait but it wasn’t a problem. Delicious cocktails.

Great location and funky decor. A very unique experience to say the least! I felt like I was in a fashion show.

Overall great stay. Location is brilliant, central to shops, West End, night life and parks. Can walk everywhere. Hotel long bar and cocktails really good and worth a visit. Hotel is very funky and rooms comfortable. Breakfast was very good - better than a lot of competitor hotels. Our room wasn’t ready for us at 3pm and it took a couple of hours before we could get the key but to be fair the Hotel Reception gave us a free drink at the bar and didn’t charge us for breakfast one morning plus gave us wine and sweets as an apology - so although frustrating they really did compensate us for it. We would recommend and would stay again,

The room we were assigned had a non-working television. Then when we returned to the room for the evening to relax we lost electricity. Reported the problem we were told they would call us back twice. The solution finally to switch rooms at 10:30 PM when my daughter was already in bed sleep. My husband had ro shower in darkness and we had to checkout early so we had to pack and get dress in the dark. No one ever came to the room to see if it was something that could be fixed. This morning during check out they apologized but that didn’t improve the quality of service and the experience of paying for a hotel room that doesn’t have basic service
2.5
Amazing Stay, only complaint was it was a very hot day and the air con did not go lower than 19 degrees so the room was a bit warm. Other than that, everything was great.
