There was no light where the hot tub was and there was nobody there to help with that, so we soaked in the dark. Which was fine.
The bed was mostly springs and we both slept terribly. The room was a little stinky.
The next day when we went to check out, also nobody there. I thought I forgot my glasses in the room, after we left and AGAIN there was nobody to help with that and nobody called me back about it after I left a message.
Not sure if there are any people running the hotel.
I would not stay there again.

Hotel check in was our room key at the front desk. I went down to the front desk the following am as there was one rolll of toilet paper that was half gone. No one answered the desk bell after I rang twice. There was trash in the parking lot and food scattered from takeout boxes by the soda vending machine. The room had clear damage to the walls and the room temperature was hot. Even with the heater off and the window open.

This was a very good place to stay. We will definitely consider booking again if we are in Grand lake again.

This was a nice place to stay for a night or two. Grand Lake down town was great for shopping/browsing.

The staff was always cheery and happy to help any time I passed them by! I happened to have a sprained ankle, and was constantly needing to ice it, and there was rarely enough ice for the amount I needed, but I got by, I just felt bad taking all of the ice from others who may want it. The rooms were very clean and well stocked (Keurig, pods, sugar, creamer, microwave, mini fridge, normal toiletries) but there wasn’t any lotion, so don’t forget to bring your own. The mattresses were extremely old/uncomfortable, with visible sagging in them. I wasn’t expecting the best, but was a little put off when I could visibly see the mattress sagging in the middle. One bed had an indent, the other did not. It was right along the main strip, so we could walk everywhere. I’d definitely stay there again, maybe other rooms have better mattresses. The staff was always jumping in to assist with anything when I walked into the office. The mattress is the downfall, the staff brings up a notch. Thanks for being awesome!

Very basic rooms, beds really need an upgrade. Good location and clean but aged.

Overall experience was wonderful. The property was missing a few amenities that you would expect in a room(iron and board). While there is enough parking, the parking space is hard to use (backing in or going in forward when the house is full.

I messed the reservation up and the young man at the desk gave us a room anyway and fixed our reservation online. I called your number to fix the other reservations and the gentleman that helped me was kind and fixed the reservations.

Newly refurbished inside of the room was lovely. Quit check in, pleasant receptionist. Upscale window coverings, you could lower from the top or raise from the bottom for privacy as people walk past your room.

Might have been late in the season, didn't seem like anyone was around.

We were nestled in the top floor and in the corner. Clean and very convenient to walk into town. It had a hot tub but we didn't take a dip. Very friendly staff. Yes, I would stay here again.

Average at best. Microwave and mini fridge on floor. Thin blankets. Unreliable internet. Cramped parking lot.

Front desk check in very friendly and helpful. Room was very clean, though dated. There is no breakfast offered. The window screens need replacement. Centrally located to walk to restaurants, lake and shops.

We were happy with our check in experience, from there everything was just ok. The rooms were very basic, not much to speak of. The towels were very thin and rough. The website claimed to offer breakfast but there was nothing but an ice machine and water available in the lobby.

First room had no internet and we couldn’t get the Olympics onTV. When I sat on the bed it felt worn out. Helpful front desk clerk moved our room. Could watch the Olympics and the bed was fine in room #2. Room was clean. But everything is worn out. Microwave door didn’t open the way it was supposed to. Had to unplug coffeemaker to plug in microwave. No bedside lamp on one side of the bed. Old carpet, fridge froze our food, you get the picture. Do not recommend. Way overpriced for what you get.

The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The building and furnishings were old and worn. For the price we expect better accommodations.

No WiFi signal available at the far end of the property.

This was an older hotel in Grand Lake, CO. We stayed here in order to enter Rocky Mountain National Park early before timed-entry was required.

I don't enjoy writing less than positive reviews, but feel compelled to be honest about this one. First: This property is long overdue for a top to bottom remodel and refurnishing. Even the parking lot is rough. There are many lodging properties in Grand Lake in the same shape. It's just kind of a funky, old, touristy location. This one like others in the area are charging 3-star prices for 1.5 star accommodations. I get it. Summer is all that Grand lake has. In winter; which is cold and looong, the town sits essentially and the end of the road, without a lot of traffic. However, for what this property is; it was clean and reasonably quiet, but I would not stay again. In fact; there are probably only 2-3 places I would stay in Grand Lake, if I were to return, forgoing all the rest.

Good rates. Clean rooms. WIFI was spotty--likely because our room was too far from the router in the office. Not a big deal for us, but would have been if I had to do any online work. There never seemed to be anyone in the office and the coffee supply was gone, but overall a decent place to stay for a few nights. Close to Mountain Market and the other grocery store in town.

This property needs a big refuebish and scrub down. Bathroom had broken tiles and room had no shower cap or conditioner and access to room was not easy. Not good value at $266 per night.

Good little room, had everything we needed for a comfortable stay

We had a great time at the BigHorn Lodge! The room was nice and the hotel has character. We especially liked the location which was walkable to the lake and everything downtown. We'd definitely stay there again.

Bighorn Lodge was amenities only.
We booked a non smoking room, that smelled like smoke when we walked in. They have really plush carpet with crusty spots all over the place. There was no waste basket in the room or bathroom, no phone to call the front desk, no "Do Not Disturb" sign for the door and only 1 chair and 1 nightstand. When we opened the dresser drawers we found food crumbs & ketchup splatters, they apparently don't clean them. The balcony is a shared balcony with plastic patio chairs. The parking lot is tight and awkward. The best things about Bighorn Lodge was the location, it is walking distance to main street and the lake. It was also the cheapest lodging available in the area. Overall we were disappointed.

No one available to check me out. Tub drain was partially blocked. Place to hang clothes falling off the wall.

There were many smokers and we could smell smoke coming in our windows when they were outside smoking. People littered their cigarette butts around the property. Maybe there needs to be a better designated smoking area in the lower parking area so it’s not so close to the rooms. They also need a way to dispose their cigarette butts.
