Very attentive and pleasant staff. Beautiful chateau, rooms and grounds. Very convenient to Amboise and other areas such as Chenonceau. Fun to have a tennis court. And the pool was especially nice.

Extraordinary. Absolutely extraordinary. The site is amazing and the staff is top-notch. Both very friendly and very professional. I would stay there again - every night, if I could.

This was a perfect place to end our week in the Loire Valley. A beautiful chateau, more "human scale", in the middle of nowhere about 10 miles from Amboise. It was low season and we were the only guests. Our hosts couldn't have been nicer. The meals were delicious and lots of great walks in the country

While old world charm is one thing, this hotel lacked anything but. All the fixtures and furniture were old, and worn thin. It felt like I was in my grandma’s house from the 1970’s that hadn’t been updated. I’ve traveled the world and have stayed in buildings dating back to the 1500’s so I’m not shy about “old.” As long as there is character and a design aesthetic that’s modern and updated. There was no thought or care put into the decor whatsoever. It was just a total mosh-mash. The bathrooms have not been updated either. Again, think 1970’s. I cannot believe this was a Relais & Château property. It was just downright depressing.

Let’s face it. It is a piece of history, but hot water was at best intermittent and for the price, there was a lack of energy to solve the issues. The restaurant food is excellent but we were in the restaurant for almost 4 hours. We visited a few chateaus and this one was the most expensive and the least worth iti

Lovely hotel but no bar as such which was a shame as nothing nearby either. Lovely garden to sit in though where drinks are brought to you. Didnt have breakfast due to ridiculous cost.

One of the best trips of our life, the hotel staff was friendly and very helpful.

It was expensive but superb. The staff at this hotel were better than any anywhere I have stayed before - absolutely nothing was too much trouble and the food was quite superb. I think most only stay a couple of nights so a fairly limited menu is not too much of a problem but we were staying 5 nights and had converted to half board. The chef provided completely different dishes for nights 4 and 5 all absolutely excellent.

Very happy with our 3 night stay. On arrival and seeing our room we decided to switch to a different room in renovated clock tower building as it had air conditioning and were pleased by the decision, very comfortable room. The Chateau is amazing and the front office staff incredibly helpful and accommodating, even brought in skimmed milk at our request. Great tennis court on site and got bikes for a super fun ride one day. Only issue we had was with restaurant and service, slow was OK but very undercooked scrambled eggs and undercooked omelets we decided to have dinner elsewhere. The restaurant manager did personally apologize which was nice and we would stay here again, the buffet breakfast was excellent so no need for anything extra.

The hotel is very charming with staff giving you lots of attention. There is a quaint sitting area for an aperitif. The hotel also has a small restaurant but to our surprise the menu prix fixe was the same every day and the menu has a limited selection which also does not change. The hotel seems to cater to guests who only stay for a very short period, one or two nights.

Comfortable hotel in a beautiful old French chateau. The building is incredible - rich with history and original detail. The service was fantastic and our room was spacious and comfortable.
