Cleanliness and friendly attitude of the staff.

My recommendation would be to avoid this hotel. We paid for 5 nights and stayed 1. Where do I start; dated, took 5 minutes for shower to heat up, no heated pool, soviet style architecture, breakfast inedible. Claims to be 4*, would be 2* at most in UK.

hotel a bit old, need a renovation, restaurant coul improve

If on a budget the hotel is great. Not the newest or the best, but overall clean, comfortable and located near the beach and in the quieter side of the town. The breakfast is very varied and it is clear that staff is trying to bring something special around the holidays, but the quality is pretty low, so a suggestion would be to lower the variety, while focusing on quality and taste for smaller choice.
Overall, pretty happy woith the stay.

the sleeping bed is hard and uncomfortable and the room is dirty. problems with parking the car

Top marks for cleanliness and smily and friendly cleaners. Can't be said for the waiting staff and receptionists who d rather bury their heads behind the screen and only do greet when they are prompted. There is certainly a bit of work/training to do there. The food is boring and bland with only minor changes each day, next time I would not go half board but just stick with breakfast only. The hotel rooms are a bit dated but still comfortable. Shower is good, beaches and restaurants closeby, parking ok. Our stay with seaview rooms was tarnished because of builing works right outside towards the sea front- the noise commenced at 7/7.30am every morning. All in all a solid 3* which only doesnt get more because of some of the staff which I hope will be addressed soon.

I am staying in hotels 1/3 of my nights and typically don't care about minor flaws, but here they offer a 'four star' accommodation at 260Euro+/n (without breakfast) and what you get is a sparsely furnished single room without even a fridge, coffee maker, toiletries, missing lamps and ages old bathroom installations. As those failed leading to leakage, they made us move to another room, no apologies, no compensation for the inconvenience of having plumbers in your room and having to move all your luggage in the middle of a vacation day. The staff arrogance has stunned us, can't believe they claim a Melia label.

A nice, clean, and cosy hotel in the middle of Puerto De La Cruz.
No hills to climb, nearby the sea an shops.
Breakfast was included, only disappointment ( and not really a complaint) the toasting machine was not working properly.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Squeeky clean all over! Beatiful and well-maintained pool and lounge area. Nice breakfast buffet with so many choices. Location is perfect btw the beach and city centre. I'll definitely book this hotel when visiting next time Pto de la Cruz.

Great hotel with great location and food
4.0 / 5.0
The staff were very helpful and pleasant.
It's a close walk to both the town square, Loro Parque, and tge beach.
The communal areas are modern, but the bedrooms are a bit tired, although nice and clean.

As soon as we walked in after arriving from the airport, our first impression of the reception was already good. The receptionist was very helpful and friendly. From some of the reviews we read I expected a horrible room when we opened the door. In fact, it was absolutely gorgeous - even bigger than we expected - clean and lots of cupboards. In some hotels we have stayed, our clothes were piled on a bench in the room as space was minimal. Breakfast was free so we were amazed at the spread available.
The food, on the whole was very good. The staff very friendly. You get free towels for the beach. We have heard free towels for the pool outside but, the beach was new to us.
The location is absolutely fantastic. We walked to the Loro Park, the centre many times and explore the many small streets and area where we were.
The only disadvantage is the beach. Very rocky and huge waves but, one can sun themselves, no problem. What we found dangerous are the rocks that come with every wave. Unless you are very far in the sea, the rocks will hit your legs, arms, thighs. But this is the Atlantic ocean and a volcanic island - mother nature.

The staff was always extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast was average. It got quite noisy at night and also from early morning onwards.

This hotel is Super clean they have cleaners constantly working and sweeping mopping. Rooms are bit dated but everything works and is clean. at the end of the day it’s only to sleep in most of the time when I am on holiday I am out of my room exploring what the area has to offer. So can not fault this place and is within 3 mins of the beach bonus.

Amazing locations close to the beach, center, central buses, loro parque. It is literally in the middle of all this. Perfect for a relaxed holiday.

The property was looking tired and shabby. The food was awful. The staff were great

Didn't enjoy our visit. Put into a terrible room on the first night, dirty, tatty and in great need of decoration and upgrading, put into another much better standard of room the following day but still unhappy so Asked to leave the next morning and we moved to a different hotel without them refunding our unused night or offering to move us to another hotel within the Sol Melia group.

Lovely hotel, friendly staff and great location. Only downsides were no power outlets in the bedroom and not the best TV but they are minor points.
2.5 / 5.0
Very close to town centre and general areas of interest. The staff was welcoming, helpful with left luggage and there's a laundry room too. My friend didn't have great service when she asked for a hot drink, but this place is very good budget, plus we only stayed one night.

Our room was clean and basic the bathroom and terrace doors were scuffed and badly needed painted. The tv was so old we couldnt even find a duel control as there wasnt one.

A lovely hotel, beautiful large room with sea views comfortable beds lovely breakfast & very helpful staff and within walking distance to restaurants bars & beaches I highly recommend it

Hotel easily to find, near the Loro parque and the castillo. But the view from the window to the futball areal between the hotel and ocean not nice at all. The hotel quite old, refurbishing needed, evident especially in the bathroom, looks quite cheap, not like 4*. No parking places for hotel guests and the adjacent streets full of cars!

Central hotel, breakfast and dinner was good. Room is clean, however furniture is old.
1.5 / 5.0
The entrance is very nice & welcome, also the pool is nice but much more smaller than it looks in the pictures. The staff is very friendly and helpful.
The food is not the best, always it was too dry (fries, tortilla, bacon).
I don't recommend the beef stew.
So, I had the standard room, clean enough & tidy but very outdated (see pictures).
To be honest with you there are not 4 stars, maybe 3 stars, but definely not 4.
If you want safe deposit box you have to pay 3€/day extra.
The location is great, Playa Jardin is the closest beach (4 min walk) and is very nice with black sand. Also Loro Park is at 15 min walk from hotel, oposite direction is the Lago Martianez and the old city, same 15 min walk.

Nice hotel in a great location

Location is quite good (close to the beach, restaurants, few supermarkets, bus stop to the airports).
The worst part was the food in the canteen. Even though a variaty was big, but the quality and taste wasn't good at all. The rooms looked tired, but clean.

Nice cosy clean rooms the hotel is a short stroll from the city attractions of Puerto de la cruz ,break fast and dinner are top notch quality and the staff is polite and helpful

Initially, we were pleased with the look and location of the hotel. When we went to check in, the gentleman behind the counter wasn't overly helpful and didn't explain why he needed to hold onto our passports. Next we went to our room and again was very pleased, nicely decorated and great sea view. Didn't take long for the maid to knock on the door and move us, against our wishes. She was very forceful and again didn't explain why we were being moved. By this point we were just wanting to get washed up and eat so we reluctantly agreed. The next room on floor 7 wasn't as nicely decorated as the previous, the chairs weren't as comfortable and the bathroom door wouldn't lock. Also, we wanted a room with a double bed but received two single beds pushed together. Putting that aside, the pool is lovely and provided plenty of space for sun beds. The bar staff for the most part were very friendly but we got the feeling that they didn't really like the English. Drink prices were brilliant and initially the food was great, but towards the end of the holiday the taste was bland and repetitive. we wanted to watch TV before bed at night but could only find one English channel, which was CNN and the week was dedicated to the Popes visit to America. All in all the hotel was good for a budget hotel but didn't deserve the 4* rating we were originally expecting.

Hotel definitely not 4-star. Very run down. Good location and room had great views. However the standard of the buffet food was dreadful, low quality food and poorly cooked.
