This is a basic hotel and though some parts have been updated, others are quite run down. For example it looks like the shower was redone but the corner you pass to go into the bathroom had chipped paint. This was not the case in my daughter's room a few doors down. Even with earplugs in my husband could hear someone snoring in the next room. There is a gazebo outside that is in disrepair. The owners were very friendly, serviced the room well and they provided a nice breakfast. The price for Thursday night was $105 which is about what I'd pay to stay there. Friday night the cost was $350 which seems excessive for the property. If you just want a place to lay your head, aren't that picky and are a very sound sleeper you might check this one out.

Rodeway suites were detached from the main building, but were secure and clean. TV service was limited, but free (meaning not many channels). Wifi was free, but open (not encrypted like most hotels), so make sure you use a software VPN. Wifi was fairly slow. Breakfast in the morning was basic but included for 2 people. Service was good, staff was friendly. For no frills, it was good. It saved us over $200 vs. Downtown Ithaca. :)

After reading reviews I booked here. The reviews we correct! The hotel was perfect for my needs. It was easy to spot from the road. Check in was simple and quick. The room was spacious and very clean. It was quiet and felt safe. Breakfast was good enough. Coffee was good. My only suggestion was that they have a step stool for short people to get onto the bed. It was waist high on me and i dont have much of a vertical jump! One other suggestion is to add a grab bar in the bath tub. Stepping over the wall of the tub can be tricky for older people. Having something to hang onto provides safety fir us!

This was a mini 3-day vacation for my husband and I to visit the many waterfalls in the Ithaca area. This hotel location was perfect for us as it was close to most of the places we wanted to go. It was also away from the city but close enough to reach restaurants in a few minutes. The road is very busy and very noisy, though the hotel is situated on a small hill back from the road so we didn't notice it too much at night There was a beautiful country road behind the hotel that we walked on in the evening. The hotel room was immaculate. I've stayed in many higher-starred hotels that were not half as clean as this one. The room and bed were comfortable, everything in working order and well-supplied with towels, soap, etc. The staff was friendly and eager to please.I had read in other reviews that the breakfast was exceptional but we found it to be usual hotel breakfast fare with plastic utensils, etc. It was OK but nothing different than the usual.The grounds leave a lot to be desired.There is no real landscaping and the buildings reminded me of storage units rather than a hotel. There were 2 outdoor gazebos with built-in benches that were in dire need of some paint. They were situated near the road so pretty noisy so it wasn't really relaxing to sit in them. The view was a parade of vehicles and a cemetery, which actually would have been nice to walk around in but trying to cross that busy road would be dangerous. Budget-friendly and convenient. Just needs some care outdoors.

The beds are very soft and comfortable. The pillows are thick and soft. When I am there, I have a very good night’s sleep and wake refreshed and happy. The showers are clean, bright, and warm enough for comfort. Amenities include everything I need for an easy stay: a refrigerator, coffee maker, toiletries and towels, clocks, and a TV. I also love that breakfast is included with the price of the hotel and that I can make my own waffles if I want to. The location is easily accessible from Ithaca, so getting back into town is relatively easy and quick. This is one of my favorite places to stay in Ithaca now.

Probably the best deal in Ithaca. Inexpensive, safe, conveniently close to everything, perfectly serviceable. Is it fancy? No. Is it fine? Yes. This has become our go-to for when we drop off or pick up our daughter at college.

The room was clean and bed very comfortable! The gentleman who checked me in was exceedingly pleasant and helpful. I have no real complaints. I stayed there on 'drop off weekend' so the price was abnormally high... I think if I had paid 'normal' prices for the area I would have been even happier. My only constructive feedback is regarding lighting. I arrived after dark (solo female traveler) The area in general is very dark (road leading up to property) which is not their fault of course! But then the hallway leading to my room was also pitch black. I think a light in the hallway would be nice.

Very convrenient for me. Vdery short distance from Robert Treman park≥ Righgt off of the busy Rt 13, but set back and quiet. Room was much better appointed than the picture shown here: marble tiles, and spacious bathroom with sink in ante-room. Ironing board and iron provided along with hairdryer. Coffee maker in room as well as brewed coffee in breakfast room.

The staff was friendly and the room was mostly clean. A chair was stained, so we just turned it around and didn't use it. The rug was torn at where it met the tile. The room had a musty smell at first, but I guess I became nose blind to it after a bit. The bed was clean and comfortable. Being it was the best price I found for a weekend away to visit the falls, it was fine and economic. We were there just to shower and sleep. The location was good, everything we wanted to see and do was within a 10- 15 minute drive. Buttermilk Falls is only a mile or so a way. The staff seemed to be a family that lives in a house attached to the hotel, but they came within a minute of pressing the buzzer and were nice and accommodating. Our room was close to the entry door and we did hear it slamming, but not much and it wasn't that bothersome. We couldn't hear people in other rooms and the hallways were quiet, besides people coming and going through the main door. The breakfast was ok. If you want something quick and free, you could make it work. We ate there the first day, the waffles were good! The next day we splurged for a local restaurant experience. Overall, I would consider staying there again.

The lobby (chcek-in) area and hallway were nice. But the room has a sour smell, even stronger in the bathroom. Due to the configuration of the room, cool air from the AC can't reach to the actual bed area. The only good thing was the manager/owner was very understanding. I was suppressed that he could find a fan for us.

We parked to check in, and there were three very large spiders hanging from the window sill in front of our car. I asked if they ever had any issues with spiders in the rooms because my kids were freaked out. They said no. In the morning there were two small spiders in the vanity area, one on the hair dryer.

The people at the desk where very helpful and pleasant. We asked for recommendations for dinner that evening and they suggested a couple places. We followed their suggestions to a Mexican Resturant and were very pleased. We make the trip to Ithaca about 3 times a year and will definately stay there again.

Overall, we appreciated our stay at the Ithaca, NY, Rodeway Inn. There were a few pieces of hair in the shower and the beds were overly soft (for our preference), but the options in Ithaca are not great, so we will stay here again, if the need arises. After reading some comments that the breakfast wasn't great, I was pleasantly surprised to find that they had eggs and sausage patties. Most motels in Ithaca are either total junk or excessively priced, so the competition makes this motel a clear choice.

Inexpensive stay that's only a few miles outside of the downtown area. Property looks to have been recently updated and modernized. We didn't eat the breakfast, but it looked okay. The bedding was comfortable. Would stay here again.

I booked here based on previous reviews and was glad I did! Family run and they live on site. I travelled with young children and it was comfortable, safe and clean. Fairly recent renos and felt well cared for. The motel built a covered hallway in front of the rooms which made it feel more hotel like. Staff were friendly and best for us coming from the west coast is that breakfast was served until 10 (not the usual 9). Small area for food but it was clean, well stocked and not too busy with real eggs and sausage. Great location for exploring and only about 10min from Ithaca Center. I also saw 4 EV chargers which is a bonus.

The property was not totally out of the way as I had thought when they said about 6 miles from Ithaca College. It is near the Falls which were amazing and the hiking areas. The breakfast was really good for a small place!! :- ) There are a bunch of restaurants and shopping options going back the 5-6 miles which was also convenient. Not a bad place to stay if it is not around college graduation which hiked up the prices by a lot :- (
